I've had this program on 3 different phones over the last 2 years. Started off great, now it's crap! Extremely slow, doesn't accurately show my location and for some reason I can't turn my location off to just use the closest place to my house. I like that I can keep tabs on the weather elsewhere. I have done extensive research in comparing weather apps. Mostly because I am an outdoor enthusiast that likes to travel. Thru my research I have found that weather bug is the best all around weather app for Android, although not perfect on all versions of Android. And did very poorly on iPhone also. For iPhone go with the weather channel. As for the galaxy nexus, im not sure. Thanks!

I'm not a big fan of the desktop version of WeatherBug, but this mobile version is great. I was looking for an alternative to The Weather Channel app that is too slow and too big, and this is it. Much better interface too. I really like the My Location feature that updates the weather for wherever you are. I just wish there were most weather locations in my local area.

I like this app a lot. The format is good with multiple levels you can drill down for more detail. However when I first open the widget I get the big semi -blank screen and the Refresh button. Hit refresh... open the widget again... hit refresh.. open the widget... hit refresh..... well usually after six or seven tried I finally get the app to open. Frustrating. It's an excellent application, but it doesn't appear to work with a proxy setup, at least not under Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on my ASUS Eepad Transformer Prime). I'm using a proxy setup when I'm at work. The standard weather application that comes with the Prime shows the current local temperature just fine when it's behind a proxy server. Other than that, the application is great! Fix the proxy problem, and I'll give it 5 stars.

I have tried several weather apps and while some have fancier visuals, this one gives the most complete and accurate weather information. I highly recommend this app. The ad scroller in the free version is easily overlooked. My only criticism of this app is the way the Alerts are written. But, it the one weather that actually does what it says it will do. Be sure to play around with the menu bar at the bottom to get more details of the days weather such as pollen count, humidity, sunrise/set, and more.

I've used this app for over a year, and after recently trying out many different weather apps I still think this one is the best. However, there are two things that bug me. One: spotty chunk loading on the radar. It's annoying to not be able to see certain parts of my area. Two: I'm not a fan of the bottom toolbar because of having to scroll. Accurate (as far as I know!) and easy to use. The widget is helpful to see whether it'll rain or shine and the temperature shown in the notification bar is useful too. I also like the fact that (with GPS on) it automatically updates its location when I travel to different towns.

Just to be clear, awesome app. It worked excellent when I had Gingerbread. When I updated to ICS today, the temperature in the status bar became very small and unreadable. I looked for some setting for this but found none, so I assume it is a bug. Fix it please, 3 stars for this.

My wife and I really like this app, and were going to upgrade to the paid version...until yesterday. I was picking up my son from daycare when my wife called and stated there was a tornado warning. Moments later I heard the tornado siren. We went back into the school and notified everyone. I checked my phone: no alert. I refreshed: no alert. Checked radar, and noted the dense cells marching through the area. Multiple twisters touched down in the area, and I used my browser and radio app (I did not trust the Weatherbug app at this point) to keep us informed. There were many homes damaged or destroyed (look at the pics from Dexter, MI on 3/15/12). Weatherbug is a great app: it doesn't kill the bat, the radar is really nice, and I have received timely alerts in the past. However, this lapse was a huge disappointment which leaves us looking for a reliable replacement.

Only good for cities. Not enough stations in rural areas to provide accurate or useful stats. And the forecast is way off, by more than 10 degrees. So, basically, a fancy radar app, because not much else is dependable. Only reason to get over TWC app is this (currently) doesn't ask for invasive permissions. 10mb of storage per location?!

Out of all the weather apps out there (Weather Channel, AccuWeather, Weather Underground, etc) WeatherBug is the easiest to use, and has the fastest performance. Also nice that it puts the current temp in the notification bar, and puts severe weather alerts in the notification bar, too.

Since I've had my Droid Global for about a year now, this app's been one of the most handy things, ever. Sure, it drains your battery considerably..but overall ill take this over any weather app out there. There's bound to be kinks with their updates, but I don't understand how people have to cry over little things. If its too much for you, get rid of it. While I like the presentation the application has, it often wastes battery when I don't need it. Even thought I turned off alerts, I have found the application continues to work in the background after I am done checking the weather. My habitual usage pattern is to check the weather, then go to manage applications to force weatherbug to close. An exit button might help.

Location menu needs some work for example if you add a new location and try to drag it from the bottom to somewhere else it always grabs the location above it. Also can get very laggy. Other then that works great on my galaxy nexus

Mine is set to update every 15 minutes, yet hours will pass without any refreshing. Manually refreshing only works sometimes. In fact, right now is Tuesday morning and the app is still displaying Monday's forecast! And ads are obtrusive.

Good interface but the forecasts for this week in Perth, Australia are wildly innaccurate. As in 10 degrees celcius below the actual expected temperatures according to every other source. While you seem to have figured out how to update the app... and THAT works well, you made it so you can't see the 5 day forecast temp values on the home screen without scrolling... I like that I can set up multiple locations and get weather alerts for them all. Keep up with locations my family members are in. Being able to adjust the time between updates solved my battary drain issues. Also, I like being able to use the camera to look at different areas.

I usually only check the weather right before I'm asleep, and a Prius commercial came up super loud with no way to stop or silence until about 3 sec in when the return button shows up (phone itself is on vibrate only, media volume is full blast)... was rated 5 stars, but this is too much for me to take... essentially force you to buy the paid app

My biggest gripe about weather apps was that I could never see the daily forecast unless I drilled down through menus. this solves that. It opens with current weather, short-term forecast, and multi-day forecast, and it opends fast. So far nothing compares, and I have tried the major ones as well as others that others loved. No bugs yet.

This app runs for hours in the background using 10 - 35% of my Moto Razr's CPU. I used various task managers to track it. I have noticed that after turning off all of the notifications and setting the refresh rate to 15, the app uses 0% cpu. Once I turned back on the battery monitoring option and set the refresh rate to 1 hour, the cpu usage went back to 10 - 35% in the background. I sent an email to the developer. I really hope they fix it. It's a great app.

Have used WB for 2 yrs. The latest update moved the ads to the bottom of the screen, resulting in an annoying interface. Also too easy to accidentally click an ad while navigating forecast buttons. Obviously the dev intended this and is unforgiveable. Use Palmary Weather. Way better and less annoying.

Best app I've found for weather. I can set the level of background updates or if I want my location on at all. I can also pick the weather station best for my location. Great swipe gestures and the ads are in a tiny bar. No issues so far! Very happy with this app.

Full-featured (allergy info is a nice touch that no one else has), and the 1x1 & 2x1 widgets are attractive and informative (shows current & low, although showing high also would be even better). I only wish it had a 4x1 or 3x1 widget with upcoming days' weather, albeit that is offered in the paid version. A 4x2 widget with time & date like Go Weather would also be nice.

I was very cautious abt the last update but didn't despair bcz Weatherbug has NEVER inundated me w/ ads. I was WRONG this time!! The videos come OUT OF NOWHERE and at VERY RANDOM times... Cars, movie trailers, etc. I don't need 2 be advertised 2 when chk'ing the weather! What bothers me is the increased ads are clearly a push for more $$$. Why tho? I will give a couple more days... if no improvement, I will join the rest of the ex-ers.

Would buy the paid version, but it gets updated less often. Always moves with me and shows correct location... And im on wifi only! (Galaxy Player 5) would love to have a weather almanac feature to compare historic averages... Theres always the Intellicast Web site for that. I love this app!

I don't know why everyone is complaining about ads, all I've seen are the bar ones at the bottom that have always been there. If you click on them, they'll go full screen. But anyways, great app WeatherBug team as always! Keep it up! :D

Very nice, but data not viewable when offline? This is a very nice app. I updated the weather and forecast data when the phone was connected to WiFi, to read later on. But when I opened the app with the phone offline, the app complained that there was no connection, and wouldn't even show the data it had just downloaded. I can't really use it if the phone must be connected to the internet all the time. Also, a "update through WiFi only" option would be awesome. Nevertheless, an awesome app.

Quickly becomes annoying Works fine until I wander someplace where it drops gps. Made the mistake of responding to the "failure to load data" message then had to kill the app or reboot the phone because it doesn't stop opening the browser. App shouldn't be able to cripple phone because of constant attempts to access internet. Switching back to My-Cast because of this and the "read phone state and identity" permission. Why exactly does a weather app need to know who I'm calling!?!?

Look at the permissions. It starts on boot, can record audio, can get your exact GPS location (weather only needs city-level information), can see sensitive log data, and can access your phone number. There is no reason a weather app needs to be able to do any of these things. There are plenty of better free weather apps on Market that aren't spyware.

Works great but the weather is always off. I mean like 5 degrees or more. Awesome set of features but can't get the WEATHER quite right.

More accurate than any medium. Even alerts you for weather warnings. Hour by hour, local live cams, interactive radar maps...better than weath chnl
