That can include status updates on Facebook or Twitter, or the many RSS feeds available on the internet. My Taptu is similar to Pulse News Reader because it offers thumbnails along with headlines, which can be a more visually appealing way of reading the news. Even though they are similar I prefer the smoothness of the Taptu UI as compared to Pulse. Pulse does have one advantage, though, and that is the ability to manually add RSS feeds which should be a no-brainer IMO. Devs please add this feature and you'll be a definite 5 star!

Annoying update issue Great app, but when reading a story while app is updating feeds (eg first thing in the morning) I don't want the story I'm reading to suddenly be updated with something completely different! Very aggravating issue, hence 4 stars.

Better than Pulse Great news app for general news by topic (not so great for Reader). Needs a split screen for tablets for viewing the story rather than in a new window so you can select another story to read without having to press the back button. Other than that, fantastic

Very pretty, but limited. The BBC News feed only shows the first line of each article. You then have to view the rest in the browser. Pretty pointless as you might as well just go straight to the BBC site and no good if you are offline. Other BBC feed apps pull in the complete article.

great app...couple of suggestions.. love the layout of the streams, the whole visual effect, scrolling etc. any way to show the index of streams, groups, feeds within group and stand alone feeds so one can quickly select...right now, the whole drag and drop becomes cumbersome after feed count increases and also, priorities change. also, any way to provide option to hide/unhide stories already read, similar to others or say feedly -each right swipe marks previous as read...so basically ways to reduce effort to find feed, story etc will help

The best got better What an app this is. It's the 1st app I fire up when I turn my tablet on and it's the one I keep checking to see what's going on. The new update is absolutely brilliant. I love the way you can colour code each item and instantly change the size of the strip. I just love the way it is so easy to set up different feeds and merge them then rename them. It is so smooth and works perfectly on my eepad transformer with honeycomb 3.1 I've tried all the other readers but this to me is easily the best......IMHO.
