Sun Surveyor predicts Sun & Moon positions (azimuth, altitude, time) with its modules: 3D Compass, Map View, Camera View (Augmented Reality) and Details (Ephemeris). Sun Surveyor is useful for film and photo location scouting, solar panel positioning, gardening, real estate, Earth Science geekery, and more! Plan for every sunrise and sunset!
Use the interactive controls to:
● Visualize and plan for the "golden hour"
● Find the time of year and angle to shoot a location at Sunrise or Sunset, or compositions involving the Moon
● Visualize the Sun and Moon throughout the day or over a year for any location on the earth
● Augmented Reality Camera View - 360 degree spherical view projected onto the camera output

Very useful application, well made, great support We use this app to "foresee" what conditions will be like at any given time when we already no a point where we want to get photographs and it performs flawlessly for the task. We can determine in advance what time we need to be in an area and at what angle to the subject to get a shot with favorable lighting. I initially had some difficulty installing the full version but a quick reply to my email resolved that issue. Well supported, designed and great functionality. Any plans to add the "blue hour?"

Simple and effective Fantastic app for a photographer. I spend lots of time in remote areas with out benefit of 3G coveage. Within seconds this app gives me all needed info for locating sun/moon position for pre-sunrise photography or anticipating direction of light for future shots or trips. Many other uses from a photo use perspective. Well worth the minimal investment for a well executed tool.
