Street view really helps me with a view of where Im going right to the door! I also love reminiscing about the places Ive been. Its even fun to play with and dream of where I want tho go next. Love it!

Im a driver for my job and I depend on this. Every now and then I wish it was more up to date, but I think its better than my moms TomTom. I love that it shows you the destination when you arrive, which is extremely helpful when people dont put house numbers on their home.

(Android 4 on Scroll Excel Tablet) I'm a regular user of Google Streetview on my PC but couldn't get it to work at all on my android 4 tablet. I first downloaded Google Maps and that works well. I then downloaded this app and absolutely nothing happened. After many trials and errors I found that if you rest your finger on a street for some time it offers you the option to go to streetview. I was expecting to find it in the layers so I hope this helps someone

Nobody can match StreetView but Google need an alternative to the little man. Some buttons would be nice.

Latitude has unfortunately been changed for the worse. One cannot share location anymore and streetview is none function on all google maps.

This app use to be excellent! You use to be able to click on a friends name and find out where they r at and then click on street view! Now ot does not do that! If this gets fixed then 5 stars

An improvement over my 3 year old Nuvi Sat Nav. It does rotate to follow your direction. Nice option to review route and select an alternative. Street view is a bonus.

All you have to do is go into google maps and type in your postcode or address. Finally you just click on the option street view and your there.

5 stars for always working to make things better in this ever changing world of technology. I work in EMS. Google as a whole has helped in school, on the job, and as a secondary guide to quickly getting to unknown areas where those that need help can get it. Maps, great, street view great, Google great. Common sense also has to over ride technology ... Those that give the 4 or 5 stars has figured that out. Some phones may not have the juice for the higher tech apps. But trust you me...it works.

It's not so precise but does work so well. It's simple to use... a suggestion: try to make some rescents pictures.

Dissapointed, it's hard to navigate since it doesn't automatically rotate to point arrow in the same direction ur going. Now it'll point left but ur really going right. Very disappointing & confusing. Make it rotate to be paralell w where u really are & the actual direction ur going. Pls!

There is some places that doesent allow you to enter by street view like in Italy, Padova, Via Giorgione 1, it doesent let you enter... and please make it more easy to travel, to move places when street viewing...

But it won't let me edit available channels or select repeating favorite shows for reminders - I have to remember myself, then find it in the channel timeline to set a reminder. If you just want to know what's on now or next, it's perfect.

Its not an app you just pop open, its an option while on Google maps app by hitting the layers button on the top right of the screen.. then hit satellite :0 jeez ppl works great for me.

I like the street view a lot. But some of the places need to have updated pictures. I was in Los Angeles C.A and type in address and when I got there they showed a picture of the side of the freeway. A lot of new roads in freeways have been built and they have yet to up date.

To open you have to select an address in maps, click on the arrow, then pick streetview. Not intuitive. But good when you get there. Compass mode is amazing. Big improvement on previous streetview in maps

I think street view is great and apparently I have it. I see a lot of reviews of great & must have???? There is no separate way to use it???? No Widgets.??? Long click on Google maps brings you there sometimes? It's pre installed & I can't enjoy it. I had to download a separate street view just so I can control a version. Because this one you can't control. No button no widget no fun at all & now an update ( I was excited ) but no separate control. Just some far away places. I can't work it to see USA

It is either this update or VZ nav update that screwed up the screen orientation mode on my droid x. Phone was stuck in landscape view. Fixed by uninstalling both updates.

Honestly now. It's NOT native to my device. I'd have to seek it out on the marketplace to install, which I did ONCE on my previous device. Now it's just sort of 'there'... asking me to update it. Google Play has been having problems for a while. If you cant get this to update via the Play app use the web browser to browse Play for this app, then install it from there. You will have to choose 'use browser' whenever prompted. And, its button says install not update, but it will install the update.

The google maps app is flawed enough due to its bugginess, huge size and lack of SD support; it doesn't need this piggybacking on it and making everything worse. But both are impossible to uninstall. Google, you can do better than this.

Use StreetView a lot on desktop. Phone use different. If you have a Map search result, click on it. The info box that comes up will have a pic from Streetview on the far right if it's available. Click on it. To turn right/left/up/down swipe yr finger. To move farther, drag "Pegman" from the lower left to elsewhere on the street. Map doesn't have Streetview Menu option or Layer. So to activate Streetview, long-press somewhere on the map. Tap the placemarker & info box & u can see if Streetview is available. In Streetview you can hit Menu & pick Compass to orient yourself - will face north (jiggles like a compass - duh!) Then unselect so u don't get woozy. One or two taps will zoom in, more taps zoom out. Can also pinch. Very useful app!

Unlike Google map app on iphone or regular desktop streetview mode, android app lacks a mini map during streetview mode. So if you are unfamiliar with the area you are viewing, you dont know which directions (N, S, E, or W) you are viewing. This is unacceptable.especially when rival company has better UI than the owner.

It works when you actually search an address, but if you try to long press and see a random place (that is clearly a neighborhood) it will always give random other businesses.. idk if its somehow accidentally pulling info from another spot, but really annoying.

Hmm - Thanks to whoever suggested a Google search to get St view happening. Try this folks - Long press on the Google Map - An address box of the location appears - (Here's the bit Google don't mention) Thennnn - Tap the address - you'll see St view as an option on that screen and away you go. Frustrated at first. When location is found on map, long press it until "location box" popup appears there (tiny bubble/window overlaid on map). Then tap on location box that popped up. In "location details" window that appears (show distance/what's nearby/search nearby, etc), select the "stickman/pinpoint" icon to be taken to the Street View. Market instructions are missing a step, but it works fine. This is not a standalone app and only works from within the Maps app, not Earth. Good stuff!

Works on HTC Desire HD Not as much navigation facilities as the full computer version - i.e you can't move around so much, but still a nice, useful app. Once you search for an address, long press to get the menu which allows you to 'star' the place, and press the little man to get street view.
