As far as I know Quickoffice is by the far the single most used mobile office suite that comes preloaded with a number of devices. Their two Android apps (Quickoffice Pro and Quickoffice Pro HD) have been updated to version 5.0 and now include some handy features and UI tweaks. Here’s what’s new in this release: In addition, there are changes under the hood that make sure the application is now more stable, while some of the known bugs have been fixed. If you don’t have a mobile office suite running on your smartphone, Quickoffice is arguably the best choice you can make. You can get it from the two links below; one is a smartphone version and the other one is made for tablets. Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. The "convergence" is what he's most excited about,

Apps are the heart and soul of the Android tablet experience--but for new tablet owners, it isn't always easy to figure out where to begin. While Google's Android Market offers a small section of "featured" tablet apps, it doesn't provide a comprehensive list of programs that are optimized for the larger screen. And, while most Android apps will run on a tablet, those that are built explicitly to take advantage of the devices' larger screens tend to provide the best experiences. I've spent countless hours finding and testing Android tablet apps to uncover the best of the best. Here are 11 essential apps every Android tablet owner should consider. SwiftKey Tablet XGoogle's standard tablet keyboard is fine, but trust me, you can do better. Grab SwiftKey Tablet X, available for exactly $4.99 in the Android Market. It gives you a pimped-out keyboard that does all the hard work for you (well,

After trying hard to use Quickoffice for editing Word files, I have given up. I have lost much work on files with comments and footnotes, that are automatically erased in QO format. The formatting itself in QO documents is highly irregular. Editing tools are quite crude. This is not yet worth putting into public release.

I have been using this on my Xoom now for over three months. It works great and without fail on both creating documents/spreadsheets as well as working with the Office 2010 files sitting on our Company SAN (Network). The user interface is simple and quick. Thanks...keep up the good work.

After spending an hour typing a spreadsheet when i went to email it to myself, the attachment wouldnt show up in my email. So i tried to upload it to google docs. Still wouldnt wwork. And to top it off now the spreadsheet is empty. It deleted all the contents and isnt recoverable. Don't waste your money.

Viewing and editing docs that came from MS Office on my PC seems to work pretty well. However, moving docs back to my PC after editing on my Galaxy tab is inconsistent. I spent a bunch of time editing a .docx file on my tablet then moved it back to my PC only to find the MS Word won't open it due to an error in the file. Get these kinds of problems worked out and this app is 5 stars.

I read the glowing reviews and assumed this app would at least come close to giving me sufficient functionality to use spreadsheets remotely. No way. It will load my 6000 row single worksheet file, but then it says "insufficient menory" and none of the functions will recalculate if I make changes! C'mon my xoom has 1 gig memory and plenty of room on the SD card, so what gives? Inaddition I could not select and copy ranges, copy and paste, etc. Really was a waste of $20, provides nothing you can't get with Google docs.
Jacob
For the professional or student on the go this app needs serious updates. The Things like spell check and power point viewer support.
Although I bought this app as a document viewer and on-the-fly editor, I find I use it more often for managing files and moving them between my device and the cloud. The only glaring omission: multi-select. Please add it for five stars.

I couldn't even use it once...

Functional as a viewer, but very common formatting is not properly supported, like bulleted lists. Similar lack of formatting support permits only the simplest editing.
I down loaded this thinking that powerpoint would work better than the frre app, and CAN"T EVEN OPEN an .xlsx file at all. Total waste of money and support has not even acknowledged my complaint. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS!
Very versatile application, functioning both as a multi-panel file manager and a document editor with a pretty decent set of features. Cloud integration is well done, yet as the title states, Skydrive support should be added. Overall a decent app, though the price is a little high for the functionality.

Installed and runs well on the Xoom. Great Drop Box integration.

Look no further for an office docs app. User interface, stablity, support. It's all here. From a former and (not returning to) Docs to Go user.
Chad
Great app! I love the connection with the cloud and the ability to edit all my docs on the go...
Bill
I like being able to link this with my Google Docs and it seems to work fairly well. I do however wish it would allow for the import of .csv comma delimited files into the spreadsheet.
Heather
I have found this to be very useful for both business and personal use on my Samsung Galaxy 10.1. It is easy to use, and other than having to switch keyboard entry modes so that my Samsung keyboard dock will work, it is great! It is easy to create files and share them via email or cloud storage.
Dave
I purchased this product a couple of days ago and am still learning its many features. Downloaded all of my Office 2010 files and everything is going great. My power points all play very well and editing is a breeze.
Randy
Not bad - I aways want more - I have used it for presentations with customer - simple spread sheets and memos - it would be great to have more functionality - spell cker - cell controls etc but it is well worth the $
Mikael
Excel/spread sheet can not scroll lock an area. And the PDF viewer can not show all types of embedded pictures. Else it works pretty good. (This on Toshiba Thrive, Honeycomb 3.1)
Eric
One of the first apps I bought for my tablet. File management works great among various cloud storage services. I especially like using it with Google Docs. When on the go, it's a great way to keep writing. I would like to see more formatting options.
Raphael
It was a while since I was looking for a decent honeycomb app to edit google docs, since you can't do it through the honeycomb browser. This app does the job and is worth the money. It does everything I was waiting for and more. Big thank to the developers for this quality and professional work. Using it with an ASUS Transformer.
Patty
No problems with it other than experiencing its limitations. Hoping for some improvements down the road. In the meantime I will keep writing :-)
john
It would be nice to see a update some time this year!
Rand
I only played with it for a few minutes but in the Excel app, once you hit the shift key it becomes like s shift-lock with no possibility (at least that I found) of un-shifting. So, trying to type =sum(a1:a10) becomes =sum(A!:A))). No clue how responsive they are to input so I uninstalled.
Stan
Mostly unusable. App randomly closes by itself. Difficult to select cell for input.
tonydead
A little pricy, but is the best app for microsoft office yet on android xoom. Does a good job of editing all word, excel and powerpoint files. Plenty of editing options. Does a decent job with adobe files too.
Joseph
Good for reading and minor edits. Would be more powerful if there were better customization options and formatting capabilities.
bonvicini
Trés déçu par le tableur Impossible de grouper ou merger plusieurs cellules ce qui est indispensable dans untableau exel Propose trés peu de fonction, bref le minimum pour un prix maximum Remboursé!!!!
Greta
I love it. Easy transition from "other" Office applications. My favorite is the spreadsheet function. Very useable in a mobile format. I recently purchased a large parcel of property, and I was able to use it to track the various tracks I was considering and cost-compare. I have a Toshiba Thrive now, but I've also used it on a Nook Color. Works great, even on a more limited system. Love the cloud syncing.
Jooker
I use Quickoffice Pro for my phone and this is exactly what I hoped for. More features and optimization for the larger screen. This app has allowed me to shelf the laptop. This review was done on the Acer Iconia tablet with and without the Acer bluetooth keyboard.
David
Was using polaris but really struggled with the layout and interface. Quick office was 10 times better and really felt like i was on a pc. Its still not perfect and could do with taking some tips from the ipads office suit but still a great app and worth every penny.
Iain
No spell checker If you seriously intend for people to use this to it's fullest, then a spell checker is an absolute must. Implement that and you will have no competiton
Keith
Quickoffice Pro HD has fulfilled nearly all my needs for a full-featured word processor and file manager on my Toshiba Thrive. I use it with a Bluetooth keyboard and it works like a charm. The cloud connection feature on the home page means I can easily save to Google Docs (or MobileMe or whatever) and then open the document on my home computer to continue editing. Quickoffice Pro HD is a must have for tablets!
Rassah
Was using Documents To Go 3.0, but that other app was lacking too many features, like inserting images, or being able to read the documents to me using text-to-speech. This app feels a lot more polished and quicker than the other one, too. (On Motorola Xoom)
shrtbsrider
Does what it says. I've only used it for some small projects, but from what I've seen so far I like it. Needs integration of cloud printing. Easy to use nice UI.
Gustavo
This office suite has a lot of potential. I particularly love the text-to-speech feature. However, it tremendously lacks on formatting features. No table inserts (at least that I can find), no bullet of number lists, etc. Formatting text, as in changing color, font, etc, takes more steps than it should. I do not want to be too negative, as it can be improved, but not sure it deserves a $14.99 price point.

I've been a long time user of Quickoffice. It is one of the first apps I purchase when I buy a new phone or tablet. It's never let me down while on the run & I need to edit a document, spreadsheet or Powerpoint. I never expect a program running on my phone/tablet to be a PC replacement. The program does exactly what it's designed for. The syncing with Google Docs/DropBox is a huge plus as well. It has yet to fail me! Looking forward to your webOS releases has well. I'll be happy to pay again. :)
martin
I have reacentlly purchesed a xoom, this app has allowed me to do most of my school work without having to bring my laptop to school! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone that would ask, it was definatlly worth every penny.
Mike
I get creating lite apps but this is a bit too lite! there are a few too many factors which are on desktop word processing apps which this seems to be missing - in reality it's a far cry from a real office program. Can't even see how to make lists with bullets etc. this is some pretty basic stuff... it could be much better.
R
Glad I bought it? works for me to open Docs and Spreadsheets for a quick edit ot two and I'm good to go - needs cell formatting though.
Daniel
La uso de diario en mi trabajo, excelente herramienta para ser mas productivo, recomendable al 100%.
Elena
I was given a recommendation to get this app when I got my tablet - I am not disappointed. It has been one of my most useful apps so far - well worth the price. It isn't meant to replace Microsoft Office, but it is very useful for working with documents on my tablet. It is very user friendly and easy to use and fits my needs. I look forward to more updates/functionality add ons. A few more font options or add ons would be great (Georgia please?).
Jason
The word app is, for now, fine. It lacks some more advanced functions, but for what it does, it works quite well. With that said, the ability to work with lists and tables would be nice, along with some extra formatting options like double spacing. The excel app is also well rounded in basic features. A fill handle would be nice. The presentation app needs a good bit of work. Adding text, typing into the boxes, and moving the boxes work. It really needs the ability to add backgrounds and much better lists
Jim
Mainly use it for spreadsheet. Needs more formatting features. I use a variety of functions and find that I have to remember all the commands and the syntax to use the few that are available. I recognize that this can't be full blown because apps don't want to consume too much space. Still, there is room for improvement. I use this at least once a week, and have the HD version for my tablet and the regular Pro version for my smartphone. Much better on the tablet version.
Blake
This is a great addition to a honeycomb tablet. This adds a useful function the tablet was missing. Almost daily I need to use word, excel and powerpoint this app handles all of these fairly well.
Joan
I bought this app because it handled word wrapping in Excel files and DocsToGo didn't. Now the latest update is not handling word wrapping correctly. It acknowledges hard line breaks within a cell but doesn't wrap text automatically. If there's a configuration item somewhere for this I'd like to know.
Mike
This app is a great start to something that I could use all the time, but as a student there are some things that are missing and its almost ridiculous. Such as there being no spell check, bulleting, or adding footnotes to slides. It also inserts the symbol for tabbing instead of just putting the space (come on). I feel like its easy to use and almost ready for 5 stars, but it's not worth 20 bucks.
Very versatile application, functioning both as a multi-panel file manager and a document editor with a pretty decent set of features. Cloud integration is well done, yet as the title states, Skydrive support should be added. Overall a decent app, though the price is a little high for the functionality.
Egon
Decent office app on tablet, quite a nice feeling on it, and the experience for using it close to what i have on desktop, also, fast response and able to update features
oni
Its good app with nice and easy grafic user interface for editing of office document. Most importantly, unfortunately my excel app, force closed suddenly , I dont know why? Its crash? For consideration , I use my acer iconia with Docstogo software bundle included. I hope to fixed it soon, overall its good app. Thaks
Lawrence
This will defiantly be a useful app for university as it allows me to edit and get those last minute changes on papers. The power point while basic will allow you to add any last minute changes or fix mistakes. If you in univiersty and you have a tablett, Id defintaly reccomend having this app.
eray
I am able to use the word and spreadsheet app without too much difficulty. The powerpoint portion leaves a lot to be desired. It would be good if the handle used to select text were longer. At its current length, I cannot both move the handle and also see if I've moved it to the correct place because my finger is covering the text. My only work around is to zoom all the way in on the text.
chedz
I certainly appreciate having all of this functionality on my Xoom, tablet layout is great! As an MS Office power-user on my PC I keep running into issues I wish worked more like office, but can't beat it for on-the-go access to docs.
George
Haven't had the app installed long, but from what I can see this is going to be a very frequently used app on my Xoom. Fills a big void in the "stock" functionality of the generally really great android tablet platform.
tankdoc68
I needed something better than my crackberry to read and edit docs while I'm out of the office. Quick office Pro HD has turned out to be perfect for that. Thanks Quick office.
Chess
This has been an AWSOME app, However with the lastest version 4.6.294 - I no longer have a rotate button for PDF viewing. I have opened a ticket almost two weeks ago - but no update from the helpdesk yet. Reading others comments below, it seems several things "changed in this version". Hope it is updated/fixed soon!
Jeremy
One of the best tablet office suites out there. Cloud support is extremely useful. Every update adds useful features and I highly recommend this app for anyone requiring an office suite on their Android tablet.
bubuh
This app is absolutely useless because it crashes within a minute of launch every time. I can't tell you much more because I can't use it at all. Waste of money! Brian
Damon
Many spreadsheet problems on Xoom: formulas don't work at all, terrible keyboard support (backspace sometimes works, randomly turns on caps and doesn't turn off), extremely slow (even when it's nearly the only application running). This app is absolutely for phone users only; it just doesn't seem to scale at all to tablets.
Rick
I've pretty much got all of the office suites in my app library, but this is the only one that actually rendered/ displayed my powerpoint presentations in their true HD colours. Given the amount of $$ spent in this pursuit, Only wish I had of found and bought it first!
