Pulse is already one of the most popular news readers out there. Like that’s not enough they keep adding new features and news sources to make their app/service even more appealing, even to folks who prefer to get their news fix on their computers. Their latest category, Local, is made to provide users with a “simple and effective way” to discover what’s happening around them. Not only will you be able to get the latest local news and local sport team information, but also deals you actually care about. To make this happen, Pulse has teamed-up with a number of companies, including: All in all, it seems Pulse is revamping itself from a (great) news reader to a full blown personalized magazine a la Flipboard, offering content that goes beyond news… Dusan has been using smartphones since their introduction and is now following the latest trends in the industry. As we draw closer to the end of year, we wanted to reflect on some of the apps that seemed to have taken 2011 by storm. It was only a year ago that the Android Market hit the 200,000 apps milestone, and now we are talking 10 billion app downloads and beyond. Whether it was a new messaging client, revamped social networking tool, or even a game that consumed our days to the fullest, this was a great year for applications on Android. 2011 also marked the release of the Amazon Appstore, which changed the way developers could market their apps to potential buyers and also showed that Amazon knew people loved free things. So below, we have a list of the apps that we feel were the most popular, talked about and influential here at Droid Life throughout the year. We have tried to keep it to apps that were released this

At the beginning of 2011 there wasn’t a single dedicated Android tablet app. Now it’s the end of the year and we are inundated with them. New Android tablets are released monthly by the likes of Samsung, Motorola and Amazon, and there’s a whole bunch of great tablet-optimized apps to go along with them. Here are some of our favorites this year. There’s no better way to experience the glory of HD movies and TV than on a fast and powerful tablet with a large, bright screen, providing you’re a subscriber to the service of course. This is why Netflix is here, and why it also made our general Best Android Apps of 2011 list. After a rough start, Android tablet users can now enjoy a Netflix experience their iPad-owning friends have been used to for a while. If you like to read magazines on your Android tablet, then Zinio is

More and more news apps continue to hit the Android Market each month from both major international players and smaller, locally-focused sources. Whatever your perspective, there is likely to be a news app to suit your tastes. Here are some of the best Android news apps we came across in 2011. With versions for both Android smartphones and Android tablets, CNN is a well-respected and reliable news source for U.S. and world news. Both theses apps took their time appearing on Android - and haven’t been without their issues - but recent updates have improved things. Both offer a wealth of content and CNN does stream live video of breaking news when its considered major enough. There’s also the ability to listen to CNN Radio and contribute to the popular “iReports” section, which offers on-the-ground reporting from citizen journalists everywhere — a growing trend in 2011. When it comes to snazzy

Lately I’ve been asked which Android software I’m using so I directed a friend to “my 30 essential Android apps,” the post I wrote about two months ago. However, not everyone likes my list – they want something more structured. Then I prepared the “must-have Android apps” list which goes through different kinds of Android software, helping people decided what they need for what purpose. I went into details in that article and that’s also not that cool for everyone – so here’s something in between, a structured list of apps divided by categories. News media consumption patters are evolving, and the most discriminating information junkies expect to dial into their favorite stories from any place, at any time, on any device. Increasingly, daily newspapers are releasing official apps for Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android devices. Many papers are also creating mobile versions of their websites that suit smaller screens on virtually any mobile platform. So, beyond mobile offerings from your favorite publications, what are the best apps to find and curate the news that matters most to you? Try downloading these first. Out of the hundreds of viable apps that aggregate news feeds from around the world, News360 deserves front page placement. The app pulls stories from more than 5,000 participating publications, and allows users to personalize the information that eventually reaches them on their devices (or via the web at news360.com). So you want to install some widgets on your Android smartphone but are not sure which ones will help you out and which ones will, well, just occupy the precious screen estate. I’ve been testing so many options and here’s my definite list of must have widgets followed by the “optional stuff,” which I don’t use but know some people who love ‘em. Without further ado, let’s roll… One of the reasons I’m using an Android smartphone rather than the iPhone is that the latter doesn’t allow me to see my tasks without starting some app. With GTasks, you get to see all of your upcoming tasks at glance, right on the homescreen. Tasks are, as expected, synchronized with Google Tasks, allowing you to manage them from your computer. I also use GTasks as my shopping list. This tiny widget shows few of your upcoming calendar entries. You can choose which

While the goal is to have Android apps hanging out seamlessly among standard PlayBook apps, there are a few visual queues that differentiate them. The home screen icons have an additional background element, for one. Once launched, all Android apps run in a single window, with a multitasking pane along the bottom. That bar also has a back button, which was previously folded into a bezel gesture (which I actually preferred). (Update: After screwing around with the new App Player, it looks like the diagonal swipe = back gesture is still in there, but only if you chose to hide the multitasking bar through the settings menu.) The performance so far is about as smooth as one could want from any app (native or otherwise), but I think the most interesting thing about Android on the PlayBook is the strategy. Generally, when a manufacturer gets involved with a new operating system,

Pulse News allows you to take your favorite sources of news and information, and turn them into a fun-to-use and engaging mosaic. You can find news from just about any relevant source there is, from newspapers to magazines to blogs. What’s even better is the ability to organize different pages with different news themes. This allows you to keep all of your video game news separate from the political and world news, for instance. Finding news sources that interest you is easy, and you'll often discover new sources that were previously unknown to you. The user interface is streamlined and very professional, and is even more fun to use on a tablet. With Pulse News, you and your tablet will never miss a beat.

This is part 2 of a 5-part review series of magazine and news discovery and aggregation apps for iPad and Android. Part 1 featured a review of Zite for iPad. Now Android gets some action too. Barely a year old now, Pulse was one of the original nextgen news apps — swipe-able, easy to set-up, and not without a certain amount of visual swank. And it’s still one of the best. Available for iPad and Android, it was among the first apps I’d turn to when toting around my 7-inch Galaxy Tab (a workhorse I tell you!). Best of all, unlike Flipboard and Zite, it’s available to us sexy-app starved Android fans. Think of it as Flipboard lite. It’s highly functional, but doesn’t quite pack all of the pizazz of the market leader. Still — and I guess I’ve already spilled the beans here — if you’re on a Samsung Galaxy

Worth Reading? +2 [2 votes] Behold version 1.9.5, an update that’s just this week come through for Pulse, one of if not THE preeminent news feed reader on Android (and iOS, for those keeping track of that.) But that’s no bad thing, all updates behind the scenes – that means they were doing it right the first time! But guess what? It looked fantastic in the first place. It appears that most of the update here has to do with “optimization” of what we were already enjoying. The things they’ve listed in this update as having been updated are thus: Support for Honeycomb platform, including hardware acceleration. Support for tablet devices. Ability to enable/disable Flash. Now it's my turn, so I've compiled the results and I'll list them below along with details and a brief description of each app. Given just how not-so-attractive Android 2.2 and below is, it's not really surprising that a launcher should take the top spot. What is a bit more surprising - at least to me - is that it really dominated ADW (which came in second, below) with more than twice as many votes. Thanks to its popularity, there are hundreds of themes available, and in conjunction with widgets and other customization apps, the possibilities are nearly endless. 1. The latest version of Pulse includes a new source called Facebook Links that connects to your FB account and finds all of the links shared by your friends on the social network. You can then read content from those feeds directly within the app or toggle to switch to browser view. As a bonus, tap into Pulse’s built-in share feature and you can pass those links along to Facebook, Twitter, or any app that uses Android’s Share features. We’d still like to

Google has its hands in virtually every sector of tech possible, but many of those efforts don’t have official clients made for Android. It’s a common complaint for Android users that Google Reader is inexplicably one such occasion in which the only option is to turn to a third-party app to read and manage your RSS feeds. Thankfully, there are a variety of third-party options for managing RSS feeds and meets your needs. As part of our Droid vs. Droid series, we decided to take a look at some of the most notable such apps. I’m sure you love reading RSS feeds – including Androinica.com’s, wink, wink – so let’s take a look at apps that have Google Reader integration. GReader is shamelessly Apple-ish, so any Mac aficionado will feel right at home using it. Articles render quickly, formatting is good, and browsing is great for being able to read abbreviated

For a while now I have been waiting for a good news reader app such as Google Reader for my Android device. I think I have finally stumbled on an app noteworthy of such praise – Pulse! Earlier this year Steve Jobs raved about Pulse on the iOS platform during his WWDC keynote and just a few weeks ago the app made major headlines when it was launched on the iPad. With the release of the Pulse on the Android Market, access to the latest news has never been easier! The Pulse News Reader, developed by Alphonso Labs, pulls in articles from RSS feeds adding images and headlines in a visually rich layout. It is easy to add feeds and also search sites easily using keywords. You can even add YouTube channels and Twitter accounts and easily arrange and share stories to friends via email, Facebook or Twitter. The Android user experience

The war between fashion and function rages on in Pulse News Reader, a popular iPad and iPhone app that is now available on Android. While Pulse is a news reader that is much easier on the eyes thanks to a less conventional design for mobile news readers, it lacks the core function of being an adequate mobile news reader for many. Available for $1.99, Pulse takes the feeds of websites that you read religiously, then presents them in a highly-organized manner tailored to your phone. Whether in portrait or landscape, users can scroll through a list of articles layered over thumbnails. There’s no groundbreaking experience by tacking on a tiny picture, but the overall experience of having a polished application improves on the otherwise drab experience of opening an app and scrolling through an endless list of headlines. However, Pulse relies so heavily on that polish that it fails to meet

Strongly recommended... friendly application and very useful.. I have tried many readers and this is the best by far
Hail Sirius
Dear Pulse, Please make your large news widget able to display more than one feed. Also, about 28 times less boring, and approximately 756 times less ugly. Kthx!
KM
BUT THE WIDGET IS UGLY AS SIN!! I would use it, but the thing is an eyesore to my homepage. It doesn't fit properly either on phones or on tablets.
Andrew
I have tried several news app and once i found this never looked back. I can share the stories i like any way i like. Simply reading seems to intuitive! the swipe to next story feature is nice, you can create feeds that suit any interest and just wipe through all the interesting storeis. I have noticed recently that even embeded youtube videos now work!
John
Great way to view online content! Much better than Google news reader (IMHO). Visually elegant and great functionality. Running on Nexus One with standard Google Gingerbread ROM (all updates applied - 2.3.6).
Brian
Good concept but needs a lot of work. Articles need whole row instead of a little box. Scroll up and down for new articles. Left and right for new feeds. Change tabs for new home pages/categories such as Home, News, Tech so on. Each article doesn't show whole article for off line use. For example if you are reading an article about a new mobile phone and they make a list of details it doesn't show up. You almost have To hit the source link to Finnish an article. This sucks. The imbedded browser is slow.
Ng
Recently having issues with multiple duplicated articles within some feed. Don't know if an update caused it. Just started a few days ago. It's still a great app though. Just annoying having to skip through an entire feed of doubles.
Glory
I tried this out for a week and kept going back and forth each day on keeping it. It constantly kicked me out of the program.
Don Pedro
Widget only allows one type of news feed. I was forced to choose either sports news or entertainment. Not impressed at all. Why is this an editor's choice?
julianna
Wishing this app would some day be able to work properly but the pictures are just all in the wrong articles
Dana
Every time I get an update, I have to re-do all my feeds. It's getting tiresome.
Emile
A fantastic app to keep me on top of world news. Very simple and satisfying to scroll through. I would like that the app loads the whole story rather than just a portion but this is probably more to do with the websites theyre loading from
Chris
No double tap to zoom in web browser (again!) Worked fine in 2.7.7. No refresh after opening the app, have to do it manually (again!). Very disappointed!
Bhuvanesh
Works great on my Thrive tablet but since the last update it has been force-closing every minute or two on my HTC/T-Mobile G2 phone, sometimes when tapping widget to open an article, sometimes while reading an article (just reading, not interacting in any way), sometimes when exiting by pressing the hardware back button. I wish there were a way to revert the most recent update.
JeffDenver
I really wanted to like Pulse...but I have switched to Taptu. Taptu does all the same stuff and looks as good (and actually has more options), but also allows me to backup my feeds. I just cannot go though re-installing my news feeds on this app for the 4th time. If they can fix that I might be back...until then I am switching to Taptu. This is a great app. It just inst the best one anymore.
Jeff
When I press a button with a Share icon I want the Share API, and when I press a button with a mail icon I want to email a story. I'm STILL getting hung up on this. Is it too much to ask for intuitive icons? It feels like the app is misbehaving every time I want to share a story. Then I remember you guys design everything to feel bass ackwards on Android.

Goodluck
SO INCREDIBLY AWESOME!! Only drawback is the when sharing to twitter, Pulse doesn't share the link to the news article... just the status. Fix that and this app will be unstoppable xD
Renshank
Now completely broken, giving wrong names to articles frequently, especially on hacker News.
Glen
Duplicate articles bug still around, something they tryed to fix four times now, in a row... maybe they should get a clue and fire that programmer.
Kyle
I kept four widgets up when I first got it and loved them. Sometime late last year, there was an update and I could no longer refresh the widget. The refresh button just stopped working. Now I'm having difficulty refreshing on the app itself. I sent an email months ago using their feedback link, but I never heard anything back. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing works. Too bad.
namelok
Nothing helps. Galaxy Note. Currents or flipboard is the way to go...
Audra
Used to LOVE this app, but now i can't shuffle through news stories without it freezing and crashing. I've reinstalled it and that didn't help. I haven't been able to read the news for a month. It's time I find a different news source. Sad.
Shannon
Does not work well on AT&T galaxy note. Very slow
Martin
Constantly crashes and freezes, a shame because it had real potential
Den
Nice clean interface, needs a better widget though that shows more than one news source
Parikshit
Love the interface..
Much better than zite, except that it doesn't learn my taste.
Needs a widget and will be a 10 star.
Alan
Need wider widgets for large phones like Galaxy Note. Too much unsightly empty spaces going on.
Edy
Was 5 stars but up graded to ics and now fc's a lot. Opening web link from pulse freezes the screen and the tab at the bottom of article I'm reading always pops up with annoying regularity. I love this app and use it everyday but is inconsistent with ics. Hopefully only for now.
Joey
Default open source webpage option is brilliant! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
ECLC - LANGUAGE CONSULTANCIES
The last version is very buggy. Sluggish, opens different articles from those selected (pretty consistently) . The only news aggregating app that limits the number of sources and still runs sluggish. Increasingly Disappointing
Scott
This app is great i get all the news that i want and i do not have to go to different websites to get news
Doctor Dan
As close to Flipboard as I have found for the Android OS. FB comments are not posting when submitted through Pulse FB connection. Please fix. (DROID RAZR MAXX - Android 2.3.6)
Ian
Only news app worth using. After a factory reset I tried some different "Raisans" for a week or so. It looks nice but is very annoying to use - back to good old Pulse!
Travis
if you like apps that consistently crash upon every use, then pulse is for you.
Sonja
Update: I have to leave Pulse behind. I have shoved feeds onto pages that don't make sense just to try to have all my feeds available, but today I maxed out the pages, and that's difficult when really just getting into feed readers and trying to sort out which feeds I want and which I don't. Sorry, Pulse, it was lovely! Original Review: Love this app! Intuitive design, easy to use, low memory use. Better than Currents, both interface and storage use. I've nearly maxed out the number of feeds allowed while I explore new feeds, with several photo feeds in the mix. I recently did the same in Currents. Both apps set to low storage. Currents took up more space than my music, deleting photo feeds didn't fix the problem. Pulse was a mere irrelevant fraction of my storage space, as expected.
Sayid
Clicking on icons does not open correct article. It opens one random article instead. HTC Thunderbolt, Das BAMF Sense 3.0 RC 4.9 (Android 2.3.4)
kavita
I love the wide range of sources and the fact that it loads so fast..not that much of a battery drainer at all.pulse is a seriously good looking app and I've used it everyday (for hours at times) since I got it a couple of months ago.
Bryan Chance
Fast and responsive user interface make this app my favorite. Articles load almost instantly.
Karma
Far too slow for any practical use.
Brahim
This is the app I'd been looking for! It lets me do everything I needed and more. This app replaces numerous other reader apps. I love it!
Miggz
I use it daily and it's provides a great place to have everything you're interested in all in one place. The only problem is I've heard that they're planning to bring ads and also when I have dark mode toggled at night the screen shutters white/gray quickly like a strobe light and it bothers my eyes. So they need to fix that. Hopefully some time soon.
James
This used to be the greatest app available on any CE device...but after the recent updates, whenever pulse tries to update on all but one of my five pages, the app crashes. This used to be my favorite and most used app, not to mention the only place I got my news. Now the app is unusable.
Live
I love and use this program almost every day. I love the way it looks, I love the way it works, and that it doesn't have any problems.
Daniel
Great for seeing what's new in the tech world, not laggy and the app is free :-)
OLDwerks
Beautifully crafted app, keeping me informed with all latest hypes easily! Five kudos!
Bruce
Tiny little synopsis with an offer to take you to the "real" story that takes you nowhere 90% of the time. Bigger tease than the homecoming queen.
Una
Fun, informative and cool. Plus well designed, beautiful interface and works without problems. Thanks!
Raman
Its not as smooth and fluid as it should be. Also when choosing an app to share with it should highlight the app chosen so I don't have to hope that I picked the right one. Still a great way to put all of your news together.
Centavar
Very functional, but it needs to be closed via task manager every time. If not, it starts using up to 50% of the CPU and the device gets really hot in some time. GALAXY S 2
Michael
I've tried numerous news readers and I.keep coming back to pulse. Their lack of g+ support turned me away but they fixed it so quickly and here I am again! Thanks again alfonso labs!.
Karin
I love pulse....you can create as many pages as you like with as many websites on each page as you like. I have a news page that includes huffpost, usa today, rueters...I have a food page that includes yummly, food network, bon appetit, I have an entertainment page, a sports page, etc. I find myself going to pulse every day when I am waiting in line, riding in a car, whenever I need to kill some time. Each source has about a dozen or so "top stories" that you can slide through, and clicking on one will give you the first few paragraphs of the story where you can then decide if you want to go to the full story, or hit the back button and go back to browsing. I find this app to be easy to flip through, and the stories update regularly (multiple times a day) so you are not reading the same dozen stories on each site over and over again.
Mohammad
The best news reading app out there but there should be an option to read full stories on the application instead of loading a web page inside it.
charles
3 weeks ago I was able to share articles to facebook and the posted. Now it says it posted, but nothing shows up.
Kelvin Lloyd
The main interface doesn't translate very well on larger screens. The titles are huge, the tiles small. It doesn't look sleek. I prefer Google Currents' interface and pagination of articles. I had installed this a month ago. I still don't like it.
umeshra818
Great app.. Tried Google current(crashes often, but definitely a great app ) Zite(Simple UI,no option for choosing the editions manually ) Flipboard(only for high end Android devices) Much better than competitors 1.Need more improvements. 2.Need to increase magazine editions. 3.Lack of selecting category option in a magazine.
Arielle
Nothing but good stuff. Forget all other RSS readers, this is the one you want. A 6th page or more would send it over the moon.
Ainsley
Fine App for reading articles but the widget doesn't update and that's the main reason I use this app.Would love fix for this.
Vigneshwaran.C
Works for those who need to know all d news at one place. Good job.
Theo
Good news app. Would be 5 stars if there were more magazine choices.
Frank
Used to be great but battery drain makes this unusable. Went down by 60% from 30mins use. However, great news selection, good options to customise etc... Shame about battery.
Greg
It dosent work since update should go back to old app I'm deleting it -3 for rateing
randolph
Once upon a time, this app is extremely fast and my favorite. Now even scrolling sucks
Derek
I love how it restores itself when you reinstall it!
Robert
Google reader sync no longer works. Which is what I used most. Searching for replacement app
Marc
Works great on my Transformer. My most used app.
Manny
Has stopped working. Has gone to sleep. Whats going on? I'm uninstalling until it's sorted.
Karma
Good but one of the slowest apps to start up for some reason.
Sharene
Crowded. Two many previews for a small screen. Would be great if you could customize the size of the thumbnails/previews and if you could merge similar sources into one feed like Taptu does.
Joshua
Been using for a long time and must say that it gets even better with every update. Pulse is a staple in my everyday use.
Brent
new features don't help and now dark background is gone. fix please
Michael
I've never really been a fan of news apps like this but I have to admit this has really captured my attention. If your a geek like me who loves all things tech and loves video games, this app will let bring you nearly everything you need to know. There are some bugs though, but nothing that can't be fixed.
Ian
I love the app itself but the battery life with it is appalling. My galaxy s2 went from 40 percent battery to 9 in under half an hour.
Steve
Doesn't synch across multiple devices so useless. At the very least it should synch with the google reader web site.
Web8
Use it all the time and love it!
abhishek
A must have app.
Jamison
after about 4 articles application force closes. codeandroid 4.0.4 fascinate other than that, it's AMAZING!!
Reefatoka
Finnaly yall fixed the widget
Philip
Still works really well. Been using this app since it came out; great for posting to Twitter & Facebook. (Samsung Galaxy W)
will
They need more pigs in there stories
Mitch & Teri
Used to have it on my iPod touch, now it's even better on android!
Molly
The best for putting what stuff you want up first and easy to keep up with current events. However I think there needs to be more local feeds to be an option. But def worth the download.
Thomas
Does't do its job to keep me informed. Too many images, way too much garbage. Moving on to Google currents.
Its widgets no longer show up in go launcher. Other th an that great app.
Ian
Brilliant app, I can see myself using this all the time.
Mikz
Some of the URL I'm following isn't updating.. Feeds are not moving.. No problem with news inside "pulse"..
Marco
UI is much better than it's closest competition, but it needs to be able to pull the full text of articles. Most articles get cut off and require you to view the original site.
John
Perfect interface, lots of sources to choose from, and it opens the articles in itself instead of an external browser. It's a must download if you read news daily.
rian
This kind of apps is a basic needs for information flood in the net
anthony
Cant B w/o this app
Margaret
I love this app but why are my widgets missing since I updated?! That's the best part.
YawWei
Great app! Works perfectly on my gnex but fails to launch on my Asus transformer pad!
Gigi
Great user interface. So convenient to use. Quick refresh. Allows access to all the sites I mostly want to read.
Zachary
This may very well be my favorite app. It has almost all my interest topics in one app.
Maria
Love it...got shocked when found that i can view things offline...;)
federico
My MOST used app. PERIOD =D
filip
Last few updates made it force quit all the time. Sharing options are changed to worse, some of them don't work at all .
Stray
Finally I can see all my favorite news sources on one page
Dante
Would be nice if the widget could display more than one feed, rather than having multiple widgets. There should also be an option to auto scroll the widgets.
Jeremy
Amazed at all the little bits and things that make this app so effective
thedrizl
Could use some more contributors.
Fabian
Works fine on ma HTC wildfire s
Rumen
Just what Ineedet
Aaron
My morning routine includes checking Pulse. Great app. Great interface. Complete win.
Superman
Best way to get a lot type news information in one place. Must have if want the latest info fast. Totally customizable to your liking.
Pearl
Love this app. I'd be lost without it. I like to read what I want, not everything else. :-)
Ravi Kanth
All my favourite feeds, blogs & sites at a single place.
Tukz
I love this news app!
Adam
Best multi feed news app on any platform.
Lustrous
It is just amazing! Very functional and useful. Deserves 5 stars.
aadi
I really appreciate n u know if u carry this app than don't carry news paper so best app.
Carlos
Glad they finally added 2-way Google Reader syncing. There has to be a better way to mark articles as read; currently you have to go article by article. UI changes between read and unread are very subtle/unnnoticible. I'll keep using NewsRob for now.
Edgardo
I can say that it promises a lot, for me the best NEWS app in the world but, also for my transformer Prime, its imposible to play the videos and you get stock when following the original articles (webpages) its very annoing! Will get better for sure... Great work till now!
Stanley
App is awesome. Only thing is that the tiny widget doesn't update. The only way I can manually refresh it is by deleting the widget and putting a new one up. Working widgets would make this a five star.
ChiTown Ricky
However I just don't get the point of having an app that redirects you to someone else's content. Uninstalling, but not because of any tech issues.
Dejay
My favorite app by far..love. the new update
George
I love the program but i cant play movies or look at pictures when i click on them. Fix this for a 5 star review
Adam
Initially everything worked without a hitch on my Transformer Prime. I was sharing 10+ stories a day to a multitude of groups. Now (from about 3-4 updates ago) I'm completely unable to share, and it's only getting worse. It started with being unable to use the dedicated FB,Twit,G+ button (where it entirely fails to share) and has recently (last 2 updates) moved on to entirely crashing the app when I click the email icon to utilize the built in android share api. I have filed numerous bug reports but no progress seems to be being made on this functionality, and little to no communication is being provided as well. I love the app, it was highly useful as I primarily use it to find and share relevant and important articles/issues for my industry with others of note. No longer however.
Mike
Setting for Download Images is not working. I have it set to Never, but there are always images on the article thumbnails, etc. Setting for story age would be nice too...so nothing more than 2 days old for example. Or Max # of stories retrieved per source setting. Also, Sync on Page Load setting is not working.
Andrew
Fantastic App! Excellent selection of news and entertainment.
Mike
Setting for Download Images is not working. I have it set to Never, but there are always images on the article thumbnails, etc. Setting for story age would be nice too...so nothing more than 2 days old for example. Or Max # of stories retrieved per source setting.
David
decent app but doesn't handle podcasts...and I cant figure out how to sync with Google reader
S
Pulse drained the battery from 70 to 0 in a short time while I wasn't watching. Did not do this before.
David
Used to be good.
eneve
Use it everyday on the train
Earthquake Jake
Working in public relations requires me to stay on top of the news and this is a great FREE mobile app for that helps me do just that.
Sr.
I tried a number of news apps and none compared to pulse. This is my daily go-to news app.
Sfz
Awesome app for all the news in one place
Mark
Quite buggy at the minute, doesn't always add thumbnails to articles, and still very US Centric as well.
wantedkic
Nice presentation and nice interface bit krrpd crashing when I try to share with the email button. HTC aria, Android 2.3
pawan
Not a apps for people outside us or europe
Gregory
Best android app
Sebastián
Buena app, solo den la posibilidad de desactivar la barra inferior donde estan las miniaturas de entradas de algun blog, se despliega molestamente y entorpece la lectura
scott
Lots if sources and a beautiful interface. My go to news app. Haven't had any problems in the several months I've used it. They just added Facebook and Google reader feeds which saves me from installing fb on my phone!
anurag
A must have for tablets!
James
Everything I wanted in a news app, and more!
haruutachan
Not crash like stumbleupon anymore
Chris
Its very big on a phone with very limited memory, extremely laggy, and quite a data guzzler. I'm trying to love it, better on iOS and on my kindle fire, so I'm giving it another chance after using the inferior Google reader.
MaryJo
My fav app. Use it endlessly!
Hannes
could you stop the application draining my battery within a few hours? thanks.
Paul
The best all around News app out there :-)
SweeNey
Stop auto news updates, I miss what I assume are really interesting stories cos the feed auto updates.
Dayze
Force closes now every time I refresh the stream
ezradja
Found this app preinstalled on my unroot tab wifi, this is a keeper eventhough I got custom rom install now.
Dan
I love this app. My issue with the app is the "refresh all" command doesn't really refresh all. It seems to only refresh the page you're on . I have 5 pages so I have to do this with each full page's contents.
Matt
Thank you for creating the best app ever!
Susnata
as a technology reporter and blogger ... it helps me a lot
Shane
Simplest, fastest news reader I've tried.
utkarsh

Ben
So good
Eoin
love it :-)
Cian
Really easy to use and just a great app. Really useful.
Tom
Great, clean, simple and intuitive. @jkforde, no it doesn't. Mine always returns to the article I was viewing, must be your device isn't as capable with Multi-tasking.
Andy
The previous update was crash city and made the app unusable, but I'm happy to say this new version is faster and not crashtastic, thanks guys.
Jayson
A way to go further back to older source feeds so that I don't have to open up say ENGADGET or AP to see articles that already scrolled by!!! Also buggy on Transformer Prime TF201.
Calvin
Great app but frequently opens wrong article or repeats articles...very annoying. PLEASE FIX!!!!!!
Jaimia
Love the fact that there are so many news sources and media topics to choose and customize my profile. It's really a one stop app for sharing current events, entertainment and reading information. I like how it can connect to Facebook and Twitter as well.
Bossy
The user community should learn to NEVER use a software that does not allow you to uninstall! This is not good business practice.
Amil
Pulse is great and really useful. It's annoying when it randomly crashes and Forces Closes for no apparent reason.
Yatin
For example, it still doesn't remember my view setting (day vs. night) on articles. I've linked my FB account but still can't log in using my FB account online (it says I need to link them on my phone, which I've already done), etc.
Robert
Favorite app
Brian
What's not fantastic about personalizing news streams? And with 5 customizable pages, you will never run out of news feeds. Great interface and nice design make this a 5 star for me. Happy reading and thanks Pulse.
Jamestrada
This app is just plain awesome! Saves my readings and syncs them to the web and RYL and Readability. they even have extensions for browsers to never miss a cool story. One of the best apps and the best for reading, hands down.
Hamad
This app saved me time and effort and kept me updated and well informed. It's beautiful UI and awesome sharing/bookmarking capabilities makes it difficult even for Currents to compete with it. Keep it up guys :)
Rashid
Memang bagusss,

Patty
Works fine on transformer prime.

Great app.
Daren J.
The app is sleek, intuitive and functional. It is simply the best reading app aggregator out there.
Chris
Keeps getting worse with each update.
Russell
Best on android all the news in one place
Ryan
But has been force closing a lot lately and lately has been slow to update news stories. Xperia play
Justin
It is good, but recently it had been fcing on randomly when I open an article
Tuan A.
Tks for your creation
CL
Why did I lose four pages of subscriptions?
David
The best app i've come across to find all the latest tech news, tons of content, the only app u ever need for gadget fans
Henry
It's been over a year now and this is still the best and most fun way to get my news I need.
sunil
new update. slowing and hanging phone. Choosing sources is very slow, takes ages to respond, feels like hanged.
Rene
Can't be happier with this app. The best thing is it's free.
Bob
Even though the description says you can. Uninstalled
Matthew
The only thing thats keeping me from using this is that i can't sync with google reader. If this problem is fixed this will be the only reader app i would ever use.
Tia
Love love love. Best way to get your news in all categories in one place.
Luke
Bugs a bit but overall superb at keeping me up to date.
Chris
I got so bored of Google Reader and all the other dry text-only readers in the market. Pulse snaps with a visually rich experience. Try it!
Amit
Its work offline, but need pictures to be shown while offline too.
Chris
Very good on the sgs2 but very buggy on the transformer prime, lots of crashing. Mainly use Google Currents now.
Gustav
I've rarely witnessed such a useful, fun and appealing application. Pulse really does an ingenious job when it comes to finding interesting articles and displaying userfriendability =D Great job, Great App. [Sony Xperia S]
issues
I love this app, quick and easy to get all my news fix. Star articles all the time in case i can't read it right that and easy to find and go back to. Must have, also Devs are great at updating and fixing bugs.
Kevin
Great app, very slick and customisable. Defo recommended. Credit to the dev team, as they are always releasing bug fixes and listen to the community
John
There hasnt been a day since I began using Pulse that I wasnt anxious to use it. It has truly transformed my news reading experience. I quickly became bored reading news on other apps but not Pulse. Ive had it for over a year now. Thank you.
B
I like it but from time to time blocks and the only way my phone to run again is to restar. Despite that is cool app.
David
This is an easy app to manipulate and personalize. Worked great from start up.
Richeek
It gives me my daily dosage of news. Awesome app.
OzzyKid
Use it daily
guigui
But it started FC for no reason, suddenly big slowdown then FC, mabye my CPU is too weak (600Mhz) but worked great on other versions
Adrian
Presentation and features make this a great for visual feeds but the 20 item limit with no history per feed limits usefulness for many feeds unless you constantly check them. Web view and flash support are nice extras though wish you could save images directly from the app.
Rodd [4:20]
This is one of the few apps that actually works really well.
ldh1109
I use it every day
Dave
The single best news aggregator I've ever seen.
Samitha
Very useful for getting the latest news about almost anything.
Saj
It was a nice app. All rss feeds are losing images. That just leaves Pulse as any other newsreader. Version 2.x is all about features. By features I mean bugs. I9000 on 2.3.5
Kevin
Great but opens a broken browser window every time you swipe between stories. Reported this a few weeks ago but no fixes yet. Nexus S i9020a.

Videos say I need to install flash player. Flash is installed. Dev's have not responded to emails in over a month. Extremely disappointing
ObiectivStudio
This is very good. I use 90% of the time i spend on my tablet. Well built, intuitive. I would higly recomend this if you read alot of news. Please work on the widget.
Pachu
This app just can't be better. It's simple, comfortable and beautiful. I love using it.
Ignition-Images.co.uk
Has stopped loading my feeds after update. Terrible.
DJReRun
Alone it's excellent, but with Google Reader syncing it's a must have. Clean, intuitive, and constantly improving. Wish more apps were of this quality.
Charles
I love this app. They should however make it so when you read more on the site that you don't have to find where you left off in the middle of a paragraph.
Joey
Would be a good app if it didn't force close every 2 seconds. Please fix this problem before I get too frustrated and smash my phone
Daniel J
Had it on a previous phone, look.forward to see how it works on my photon
Surreal
Widgets are still the wrong size on Galaxy Nexus. The goal of the dark bckgrd is too be easy on the eyes in the dark: why the hell show a all white loading screen when dark theme is active! Not possible to go back to auto brightness.
Amy
It needs work. I like the idea and good ideas are always the best place to start. However, FB does not respect my privacy, so I cannot use the app conveniently. It would be nice to try out Pulse without giving an unknown developer all my info, but since this is impossible, I will have to uninstall and pass.
Byron
This is the app that i have to use everytime i use my tablet. The news are interesting and i can read all of them even if there is no internet. Love it, definetly my #1 app
Aaron
My pulse is currently on a refresh glitch, won't renew any content from any rss feed. Moto droid
Adrian
I had to down rate this app to two stars as I am getting fed up with constant crashes (FCs) I've been using Pulse since the very first release (with the micro tile setting) but all these new additions are NOT making this app better, only more unstable. Please stop the constant tinkering and focus on keeping the app running.
Simon
Has become very laggy. Would be nice to have a way to back up feeds too
Paola
It's definitely a must-have for me. A great news reader.
Bradley
Great way to collect stories from various sites and services. Would be 5 stars if the widget was better designed, odd size makes you put it in middle of screen and takes up space
B
A must have app if you want a quality news feed for a variety of topics. UI is impressive and very easy to use. Even lets you read articles with dark background and white text. Perfect for the late night and early morning read. Very comfortable on the eyes. Not to mention great articles. I'm keeping this one on my front screen.
George
Uninstalled itself. Now I have to start the selection pricess from scratch.
Kevin
Latest update causes it to forceclose constantly. Use to love this app hope it's fixed.
Vincent
This is the perfect app for reading news from many apps. Highly customizable and includes a wide variety of news agencies. UI is good considering how many news threads I chose, but it does seam a little bit cluttered.
Ocacia
Would be really great if it had more non-mainstream feeds, RT etc. Also with a tablet the widget is useless due to screen Res
Papa Vinz
Been using it everyday, too bad doesn't work in china
Janak
:) RSS became ultra simple now..................u can get your feeds @ 1 place......heads offfff...............
Lyn
Pros: Lovely customization. It can also find feeds from sites that other news readers somehow aren't able to. Synchronizing with sources is painless, and I love the ability to read offline. Cons: No optional image caching for offline reading. Am also not a fan of the front page's news hub design. Pros overcome the cons, but I would really, really, really love optional image caching in the near future, please, even if it's just for the first 3 - 5 articles per source. Most of my sources are art- and illustration-related, and wifi access isn't that common where I live.
Yolanda
This WAS a favorite app of mine, but all that has changed. What used to be an impressive and well functioning news & media source now freezes and crashes regularly while it struggles to load a page which it once did with ease. Please fix or will have to uninstall.
Ryan
I absolutely love this app. I must spend an hour or so a day flipping through articles that are sorted the way I want. I don't buy magazines anymore because Pulse takes care of my curious nature.
Surreal
Widgets are still the wrong size on Galaxy Nexus. The goal of the dark bckgrd is too be easy on the eyes in the dark: why the hell show a all white loading screen when dark theme is active!
Adam
Every 20 minutes this crashes when I swipe to read the next story. Oddly enough it only happens in the pulse chosen pages, including "pulse fun and humor", but is OK if I add my own content sources into it
Mohit
A good app but the bottom bar keeps popping up on switching page. Have to tap on article again and again to close it. Very irritating. Should stay there until user swipes it up to revel.
Lori
It was stable and stopped crashing all time. Literally ever time I use it ...it crashes at some point. In some case it asks I want to send a report... but that freezes too!! Come on !
The Danimal
Amazing. Organizes every news source and website you use
Djuan
Exceeded my expectation, easily blows similar apps out of the water. All my favorite news and tech feeds on a beautiful interface. Rec to all my friends!
Diego
It seems like it's been getting slower and slower lately.... Especially when entering the app.
Joey
I loved this app but it has stopped working giving exceptions looks like SQlite DB corruption don't know what to do :(
Brandy
It truly is laid out gorgeously, rarely force-closes. I can't imagine a better way to read all my news. I love the synchronization and how easy it is to share. My only complaint is that there doesn't appear to be a way to sync it with my email--I would love to read my newsletter subscriptions (I subscribe to specific columns of sites relevant to my work) in Pulse.
Setyo Budiantoro
News of the world or what you like will be in your hand...
vijay
Pretty good. It would be better if it directs to a mobile site of a news website rather than the full site. Still a 5 star.
Michael
I'm not sure why it is so hard to get embedded videos to play. I press them and it just goes black. Updating feeds has become snail like slow. Please fix!
Taylor
Videos never load in pages. Pages often get stuck loading as well. Asus transformer.
Abhi
Amazing application! But the widget only shows 1 source!
Efrain
The only thing I'm noticing is that when u go see the full article using the app, u can't access the video clips! Plz fix- Samsung galaxy s II
Michael
Has a massive selection of magazines available, across a wide range of subject matter. Well laid out, easy to use. Great!
Scott
Awesome news app but not even close to good for a tablet. Utilize the tablets size and power. This is perfect for my phone however and I love using it when I load into it on my tablet.
Taylor
Only improvement would be an additional widget that displays one whole from our pulse feed. The smaller widgets still work, but a full page widget would feel more in line with Twitter apps, etc. Such an amazing app!
p1eric
Great app for consolidating your news sources but search no longer works. Limited to reading news sources that are "featured".
adam
Really really good :) I love this and use it when I don't have internet all the time :D Only point which could be improved is if pulse downloaded the pictures for all of the articals so that when you are offline you can read with the pictures like when you are online
Tom
Awesome best reader. But mega battery drain when in use, always the most used of the battery.
Kurt
Im "that guy." i like widgets. Please make me a college widget a la Google reader pro and i Will give 5 stars. Otherwise its friggen AWESOME!!
angie
Refresh button not working on my HTC Rezound. Otherwise, great app.
Michael
I'm not sure why it is so hard to get embedded videos to play. I press them and it just goes black. Please fix!
x-rayman
Decided to try this again sadly my previous comments have not changed. Not entirely certain why the interaction of this app with my google reader account is so bad. Absolutely pain the way it does it especially if you have 2 step verfication turned on. Looses a star or 3 for that.
prash
It had become my go to App for News and App. Simply amazing and smooth even on last generation phone like Evo 4G. Great Job!
Fionny
27% battery usage for about 10 minutes being opened.... Ye need to optimize.
Newsha
Love this app, but it continually crashes on my samsung Galaxy. :-( please fix.
Christian
I loved this app but now its so slow. Please fix it
Lawrence
How do I add my local news... Or can thus app not do it anymore?
Irakli
I hate the new update. It stars refreshing pages every time I open app, And it takes forever to load. I liked more when you couls refresh news manually
Bruce
I used to love this app. Now it is slow and bloaty and sits in the background eating all of my battery. Quite disappointed as it used to be a fave :(
riaz
MASSIVE!! battery drain on my Samsung galaxy S2 with ICS. 30% to 50% in one day. Get it fixed pronto...
Raymond
Have been using it fora while but last few updates have made it slower and does not update majority of my feeds. Please fix. Tempted to hit uninstall
Chris
It won't share to Google+ for some reason and has trouble with videos
Dani
Best news app I've come by. Makes it easy to see news in categories I want, without having to move around if I don't want to. I love it
timbo
Much better than currents or reader
Zach
Just Amazing!! One problem though. I wish the app would stop using their built in sharing for Twitter and Facebook and let Android Intents handle this.
Charles
This app is amazing, it has all of my favorite news providers in one space, such a large selection to choose from as well. If I had to make one suggestion it would regard the widget and scrolling to more stories by sliding your finger across the screen instead of the little arrow. No complaints however, I am extremely impressed and grateful for pulse being so convinient.
Sean
This used daily couldn't live without.
Joy C
Fix or update the ICS version, couldn't open posted links.
Erik
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Really like the screen layout and organization of this app. Clean and the thumbnails are sharp.
Kostas
Perfection:-))) a few bugs to be "corrected" but great job,my number one app!!
sprocket
love having all the different news in one place. :-)
adam
Dark mode is gone!
Bails
No option to mark all as read so sticking with g reader.
Moh
Last update brought everything I hoped for. Thanks.
Jesus
What happened to the widgets??? They were one of my favorite options for my screens! :( evo3d
Michael
love da app wish it had a cool widget fo it tho
Christopher
I love this app, I use it everyday. must have
Taqi
Its almost perfect
idonthaveanickname
I want an app I can control. I want to be able to start it when I want and not have it drain my battery in the background. Uninstalling.
Ryan
Just dwnld and adding my sites...so far so good. Nice to have all these sites in 1 place.
John
It's all here. This is why God created apps!
Vicky
Best way to read magz, This makes me forget flippage.
Jason Cheng
"No preview available, but you can share a link instead" glad that you fix it soon 5 stars now
Sabrina
This keeps me up at night. Great UI. Usability is on point. Easy on the eyes too. Love the large spectrum of news. Love the ease with I can share.
Lovell
Great News Reader, have been using for a while now and has not failed me yet.
Paul
How can they get the settings UI so perfect and a pleasure to use then mess it all up with dire end results? Widgets in particular look terrible.
andy
But I can't login & sync my news anymore.what's going on?
Scott
Awesome news app but not even close to good for a tablet. Utilize the tabets size and power please.
Brent
My number 1 app for reading news... Galaxy S2
Sheryl
I really, really like this app. However, it takes FOREVER to load, and sometimes refuses to load certain articles. Aside from these issues, though, I love it.
Mrka
App is pure win in every way.
reginamint
I've always been jealous of people who have the Flipboard app, but now that Pulse is available for the Droid, I couldn't be happier! I've been waiting for an app that can provide me with all of my daily news in an organized and easy-to-read manner. Great job!
Andy
works well and is a great way to get the news that interests you.
Peter
The app was working fine but this most recent update makes it force close upon launch. Please Fix! using galaxy tab 8.9 with latest honeycomb update
Karim
I have experimented with a few similar apps, this is by far the best.
nazmul
But whr is the option under setting to change the background to black..thts y i give u 3 star..bring it back ..wii ya ..plz
Rob
I love this app and is the best hands down for getting news from everywhere in one app tailored to your liking. But with the recent updates I've found that when I click certain stories, I get to a page that says "this page cannot be loaded". Something like when you have no internet access and trying to go to the page. Once I get that page popping up, I'll click the back button to go back to the main UI, and its goes straight back into the same story that hasn't worked and continuously keep doing. GNexus
Kyle
I use it every morning on the subway ride to work. The only hindrances are: not storing images and having the ability to view them fullscreen while offline. Also, when I save for later while offline it never saves it - when i go on my work computer, nothing I saved is there. 5 stars for sure when that day arrives.
Schmaulie
The refresh button on the large widget has stopped working. Pls fix. Other than that, excellent. HTC Inc S. 3.2 T-Mob UK.
Dorothy and Ken
Not a day goes by that I don't use this app. Can customize up to 5 pages of 12 feeds each, though I noticed freezing if I had the full 12 on any page. 11 per page seems to work fine, however.
eoneof
How to add more than 60 feeds ( 5 pages × 12)??
Bayger
It's okay, but... scrolling is extremely slow and it can drain your battery if locked your tab while the app is active.
ritzy
After the latest update it crashes frequently. Galaxy p6200
Ryan
Great aggregate preview of the news you want. I just wish more if the headlines were visible.
The Lion
Love this app. One sownsidw is that it doesn't allow me select, copy or paste text. Runs smooth on my Not with few bugs
Juluis Bryan
Gets me updated to everything on earth!!!
Taylor
no way to truly shut down constant updating. always consumes 20% of battery. why cant it just do what i tell it to do and only update manually??? deleted til then
Benjamin
Only loads a few articles, if any, wish it worked on my phone.
Jacob
Just please ad a special weather page option and possibly a widget for weather too.
Vatsal
Very cool app.. Suggestion--> Increase the no. Of sources and bring in more of regional content.
Rohit
Clean, well organized UI. Intuitive controls.. Super smooth operation.. I like!
Andrey
I got much better lately, especially after the issues with font resizing have been solved.
Leo
Does what it says and does it well. Really like the fact that I was EASILY able to link to my Google Reader and get all the same feeds without having to manually add each one.
John
Runs smoothly on my LG Optimus M. Way too much repetion in various news sources but otherwise a great app.
Gary
Buggy, sometimes hard to connect, but usually works ok. Beats other solutions out there
Eddie
I can no longer watch youtube links thru the pulse app.
Paul
After the initial lengthy hassle of choosing what you want to see. However this offers extreme flexibility! TL;DR: Great idea excellently implemented.
Sanarr
Good for house hunting and spending an afternoon looking at open houses.
Mark
What a fantastic app, looks great on both tablet and phone and is very functional
Steven
Nails it the park. Been using this app since way back and they really do listen to user feedback, simple, clean , and effective it delivers what you need in all the ways that count.
Ayub
App to get all your news update on one page very smart.
Steve
This used to be a 5 star app, but like most Android apps is now a bloated mess. Revert to how it was 3 or 4 updates ago and it will be rated once again 5 stars.
Joey
Pulse is the greatest news app on the market.
Stephen
This app is amazing. Super smooth and so many choices.best app ever.
Zaid
Even though I have notifications turned off in the options, I still get "breaking" notifications from sites I'm not even subscribed to.
demzzy
Weird bug when I select an article it auto goes to web view with a can't show web page when I press back it goes to normal view
manuel
G-sensors articles navigation would be great. White background in night mode bug.
nirmal david
Of all the rss apps I tried...I love this one the best. Only one issue is that it doesn't sync with google reader well. you can subscribe to stuff from the reader but doesn't sync any changes :(
Shillo
They fixed the 4 by 1 widget bug on ICS so it is back to being amazing again.
Chris
After last update, no longer refreshes anything. Please fix.
Partho
More better widgets and buttons in widgets its so hard to operate the widgets. More better algorithm to give better suggestions of sources.
If it ain't broke.. don't fix it. The last few updates have disabled widget refresh. I STILL CAN'T REFRESH FROM THE GODDAMN WIDGET.
Ian
Only news app worth using. Widget needs to be scrollable across & up/down so I'm not using it. The app itself is excellent.
ray
Great app.. I spend hours everyday reading the cool gadget news, app info, game reviews, you tube stuff, Facebook updates, and literally anything you want to know about... plus you can share those funny stories to any social platform for your friends to read as well.. my personal favorite app!
Karan
Pulse has now become bloatware.. all my sources are jumbled and is now a pain to navigate. Uninstalling
Lex
Definitely look the best among rss readers, however, doesnt sync the read/unread documents back to greader is a turn down for me...
Ankush
Its a great app regularly updated and has so many features..cn u add an option that asks user to open a news in new tab?? Still must have app from developer!!
Andrew
It no longer works, which is a real pity as I used to like this app a lot.
Saj
It was a nice app. All rss feeds are losing images. That just leaves Pulse as any other newsreader. Version 2.x is all about features. By features I mean bugs. I9000
A5D
Really awesome app... No need for any other news app... But force closes a lot on my galaxy mini... Force closes every few minutes.. Plz fix that and if possible then add indian news to
Jeremy
When adding the widget it makes you select one source? You can't have it feed from all your sources? That renders it boring and stupid. What a missed opportunity. Please give us a scrollable widget that pulls from all sources.
Jake
This is so well put together, I look forward to seeing it on a tablet screen (not because it's not offered but rather because I have not yet invested).
Humberto
Excellent application but widget fails completely, it just crashes and asks to add the source again.
Kayla
Since last update, it won't refresh my feeds. Says I've read all stories when I haven't... please fix. :( Samsung galaxy tab 10.1
Randy
Daily use... SOOO many sources and great way to bet the bottom line news without having to wade through all of the details on multiple websites! Can't recommend higher!!!!
ironlion45
It may not be the best RSS reader for customisability, but for ease of use and that certain "Look and feel", Pulse is unbeatable.
Pete
This is absolutely the best reader available, but I would love to be able to share via SMS and Reddit, and really all the share options I have on every other application. Otherwise it's perfect.
Jeffery
Gets worse with each update. Wont even fully load a page before it gets stuck. Used to give it 5 stars
Prof3ssor Blu
Best news reader and I have tried several. I use it on my Evo 4g and my Asus transformer. I do wish that I could sync changes between them two but I'm very happy with this app. One of my daily apps
Chris
No double tap to zoom in web browser (again!) Worked fine in 2.7.7. Broken compatibility with older versions - when reverting to an older version nothing loads. Very disappointed! Don't like the new layout but can live with it.
Darren
Recent update has made this the best news reader app on the market.
mark
It's very convenient and easy to scan articles and save them for later reading. Once you have all your favorite go to and useful sites set, your internet news consumption life will be so much better. I've tried almost every reader and this is by far the best. The design and is getting better too. I expect to see great things from the reader in the future.
vsauce
Pulse is a very good reading app and it just keeps getting improved. Functionality-wise the latest update makes it even better. The only minor gripe is that these two latest updates seem to slow down the refresh/update speed somewhat. It is still very good but if the speed can be optimized it would be fantastic.
Andy
Ever since this update it's done nothing but be laggy and crash crash crash, I don't know what you guys changed but it's taking the app in the wrong direction I hope you can fix this soon. I'll up my review when the app actually works properly again.
WeiJie
It's nice but there is one problem. When using a dark theme in pulse. Sometimes you are not able to see some article texts. Hope you can fix it soon? Thanks alot!
Avia
And it's a big but - the widget is not refreshing! Not automatically nor manually. Reinstalled, didn't help. Sadly, uninstall.
leibok
No uninstall button in My apps. I don't have a use for this app, it keeps wanting to update.
love he app. both on my samsung tablet and lg 2x
Victor
I've been using Pulse since my early iPad days. It's a great app, the only feature I'm missing recently are scrollable widgets for ICS, and that would be a phenomenal Android extra.
Noel
Between the rotating articles and the bait articles or pieces of articles that require you to follow a link to the rest of the story. This app is a good concept gone bad. Simply ruined by stupidity. Use the app and it will bug you until you want to delete it. Just what I will do after writing this.
Miggz
I use it daily and it's provides a great place to have everything you're interested in all in one place. The only problem is I've heard that they're planning to bring ads and also when I have dark mode toggled at night the screen shutters white/gray quickly like a strobe light and it bothers my eyes. So they need to fix that quickly.
Yaya
Everything you need is in this app . I mean everything . Science , health , MSNBC , CNN ... Its all here . You can also personalize it too . I experienced no problems btw . Im using the mytouch lg
Geoff
I use pulse all the time. Great layout and news sources! HTC Incredible 2
Shane
Been a fan of this app on iOS and Android for a awhile now, but it is becoming more crash prone after the last few releases. Would be cool if there was a way to access saved stories from in the reader view rather than having to back out to the main screen.
Amber
I love the way it looks and how fast it loads. Reading ten different sites in five minutes is a plus.
ddogu
I use it daily. Marvellous app.
Lonex the elitist monk
The past few updates have messed up the video streaming in app and the launching of these videos in app to start another application like YouTube has not been working for about a week.
Joe
It really has come a log way from its beginning. Lots of nice functionality. Could be smoother.
Andy
I've had RSS readers before, but this app does everything it should and it does it smoothly and looks clean.
Deron
I use this app everyday!
Mel
Lets you organize your news, addicting
UD
This has made my news reading a different experience altogether. Love it.
June
but needs a better theme and widgets for ics!
Kathleen
Crashed multiple times, lost all info several times, emailed support and reported crashes to no avail. Great program--if/ when it works
John Paolo
I love the app. Only problem is that for some reason the refresh button on the widget doesn't work. Please fix! Gs2 epic touch.
Craig
Top top app well done now trie pansi sms
Dieter
Only american news sources. Not to be used by rest of the global population.
Danny
I really love how you can add news of your choice exactly what I have been looking for !:)
Cameron
Change is always good stay up on updates.
D-West
I like the app. The widget refresh button does not work on my galaxy s2
Maestrith
If you are looking for the ability to add your own feeds look elsewhere, but if you like being told what to do and what to read by all means download this.
Eric
Otherwise, 5 stars - the best news browser out there.
Barang X
High marks for UI and content. Works well on my machine except for occasionally seeing repeated articles when I scroll. The high battery drain is a drawback, but I've yet to find anything as good. A solid 4*.
Garrett
Best out there if you want flashy and good content. Should be able to add custom content though. 5 stars when that happens
trav
THANK YOU PULSE FOR GIVING ME A REASON TO LIVE. SINCERELY
Senita
great app until last few updates. Runs SLOW. Freezes phone with use and feed updates. Forced to uninstall -- AGAIN.
effendy
great app, like the widgets, but the widgets dont update. have to update manually from tge app.
Tim
I like news apps that have the full article. Not ones that just give you a teaser. Apps looks great but has no bite.
Daniel
as of now i give it 1 start simply because it isnt opening the articles i click on on my eee pad transformer, until i can view the articles i want to see you get 1 star.
Vishal
I cant get through a day without this app. All my internet reading content in one roof... awesome!
Reefatoka
Fix the widget the refresh button is tiny!!!...the refreh button doesn't even work anymore...evo 3d
Gareth
By far the best news app I've ever used, on any platform.
Hamed
Simple and easy to set up with no registration needed. No ads either!
William
Videos and links are always broken anymore I can't take it!!
Miles
Was working great until recently on HTC incredible s. Feeds don't load now, have to open each one separately in a web browser
Pino
Not really user friendly, zoom-in in web articles is impossible, text too tiny, doesn't sync with google reader, rubbish app!
Joseph
Best application on the market. Period. If you are not satisfied, I will refund your purchase.
fast0
Was amazingly quick on my hp touchpad. Upgraded to a Sammy 7.7 but sadly pulse seems quite sluggish on this device which ruins the experience..using normal browser is miles quicker. Hopefully this will be addressed soon.
Brian
This would let people without a pulse account to recover their sources when moving from phone to phone.
John
No international content, unless just the BBC counts. Uninstalled.
mE
Finally I don't need to be at home to see all the news feeds I read.
Grr8jon
Beautiful, needs a custom button on the share bar. Also, fix the refresh button on the large widget. -Epic touch
nascent
Most feeds won't show images, headlines are cut to like 3 words long. Doesnt sync/export feeds so all lost on reset.
Steven
You can choose various news articles and headlines from food to science. What ever your interst are this app can give you all the whats happening now, in an easy and sleek format.
Akash
This app syncs such fast even on slow connections and keeps the text offline EVEN if you have not read it! You do not need to star each page individually. Its so great! The interface is so nice and the app itself feels very polished. And did I say it is Great!
Edwin
This bad boy keeps me updated on the last and greatest tech news!! Gnex
Brandon
Keep me nicely updated with latest news from my fav website...
Sergio
Add Google+ share button on main page.
Dan
Widget wont update on gs2. Even after rebooting and battery pull
Jerry
Only allows 60 sources, I need triple that. Otherwise, I LOVE it!
Diego
Deletes my articles after I read them plz fix other than that great app!!!!
Carl
Switching from another app back to pulse reopens the link that was opened with the widget on sgs2.
Strigoi
This is the app I use the most.
Daniel
Sharing to google + fails everytime... please fix
vitriolix
Ok app but messes up SD by ignoring Android standards and littering top level for with junk
pianoman
Nexus S ICS - both the large and small widgets occupy 4x2 on home screen. The large one is the correct size, but the small one has a bunch of unusable space below it. please fix, i really like pulse!
Juan
Please add a setting to store more than 22 articles per feed
Chris
Pulse is nice on a small screen, but it really shines on a Tablet. Seamless sliding of tiles in a matrix that displays literally hours of content at once. My one complaint is that there is a rather anemic limit of 5 pages (why?) that can't have more than 12 feeds each. I know my tablet can load a lot more than my smartphone can, so why not have Pulse detect ram or tablet mode and allow for at least double this? To be a true replacement for Google reader for me it will have to import about 600 potential feeds, so it is more or less like my magazine rack where g reader is still my full store.
Ricardo
This app was snappier than ever until February came around. Now it crashes about 90% of the time.
Kristian
It's OK, so but I use another reader. Unable to remove. When will developers understand this is an unacceptable practice?
Kureha
This really makes article-reading much easier. Beautiful interface. Just hoping it had one or two more tabs.
Xobiar
Used to be a great app, but now it just doesn't work in China at all. It's been already 2 months! What's wrong, guys?
Android Core
My newspaper on the go!
Brian
I don't know if it's the amount of RAM it takes or what, but the latest app update slowed it down tremendously. It could be the addition of the "pages" feature which adds another 20+ sources to update. Please fix, this is my "Go-To" news source.
NeB
This app just shuts down randomly
lee
I used to love this app until it force closed and all my sources were wiped! +The serious battery drain= losing fans fast!
Chris
Ton's of great information at your fingertips all at a press of a button! Thank You to the boys at Alphonso Labs!
AZ
...has less content options and takes FOREVER to update. Sticking w/pulse.
Benjamin
Absolutely addicted. Not as pretty as Currents, but far smoother and lighter on resources
NSXLA
Can't refresh the smaller widgets. Epic 4G
Umesh
Very slick UI. Catalog is very nicely revamped. Great job
Phradamon
Works briliantly but last version kinda blocks when an entire page of 12 sources refresh on the same time. Plus, i need an Google+ button share coz sending stories to FB is a pain because of Timeline. Congrats and thank you for existing!
anuj
I realized that shifting to dark mode never shows the HTML special characters (like bullets), moreover the font size our the dark / light mode settings requires an exit and re launch of the application, please update, I love you guys
JeanAustinR
I uses to like this app on my Galaxy Tab. This does not work well with Galaxy Note however. Fonts are either too small or too big regardless of settings.
Riche
Being able to add rss and news feeds wold be handy My biggest complaint. Is the widget needs too be optimized for tablets and needs the ability to scroll though all the saved topics you pick for the widget not just the top one
Apostolos
After upgrading my Asus transformer tf101 to ics, i have problem with embedded videos in landscape mode. I have sound but not video. When i turn the device in portrait mode the video shows up OK. Please fix it.
Kevin
I love this app and its simple but cool interface. It is very nice.
Ikenna
It satisfies my insatiable desire for immediate android news :)
Nick
This is my most frequently used app. PLEASE BRING IT TO DESKTOP or even just Chrome. What are you waiting for already?
Matt
This is the new daily newspaper. Get all you're favorite news for free, in an excellent user interface. My most used app!
Alexei
I love this app. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is the lack of a widget. Otherwise, fantastic!
Hadi
Used to be 5 stars. But now Refresh All fail to update top news - SGS2
Clint Brown
This may be the best app for Android. Clean design, multiple sources as well as very easy to navigate. Tried it in comparison to Google Currents, and there is no comparison. This is a must have app.
Max
After update, app got so much buggier. Often opening a story leaves a blank page loaded or a previously opened story. Doesnt refresh. Asus Transformer Prime
Chris
Doesn't stop running when I close it. Two processes - memory hog. Fix this app. This is still not fixed - weeks later. Major fail.o
Salman
I am using galaxy note. . I chose the small font size but when i open the app and open any news item the font becomes very large. . I have to close the article and reopen to get the small size!
futuregramma
I've been using Google Reader for too long. It's great they you can sync somewhere, but I am so not going to spend hours re-entering all that data just for a pretty, albeit space inefficient, browse through my articles.
Jollyb
Very annoying. Navigation could be also slightly better implemented
Hector
I have ICSand article images don't always show, most of the time is blank squares. Wtf it use to be a good app.
David
Would like to have the option to add more sources. I use Pulse everyday and would be willing to pay a nominal fee if I could add more sites... many more!
Kim
I still end up visiting the websites for more stores...
Jose
It's a good app but during the latest updates, the random users I'm playing with disappear when it's their third or fourth turn. I have not been able to finish one full game for this reason. I'm using an Ice cream sandwich Zoom tablet.
James
other sites do this now, but not as fluently as Pulse. It allows one to free space on the phone since theirs no need to have apps for CNET or Engadget for example, since both apps can be accessed via Pulse. Great app!
jkforde
e.g. if you switch to another app and then go back to Pulse it opens the default page instead of the page you were just on. Very annoying when multitasking, which is typical usage. Like I say, it's good but can be clumsy.
Jennifer
I Love this app! Not only do I Love having my favorite magazines at my fingertips but I Love the layout and the way it works!
Jennifer
..but why is the small widget the same size as the large widget now? Please make a smaller widget again. It takes up too much space now. Galaxy Nexus.
pi
Pulse seems to get buggier and/or slower by the update. At least on my droid x, it does. Update: Pulse has become useless on my DROID x. Update : Wth, out of nowhere, a rightwing propganda video pops up. That's it. Uninstalled.
steven
Great app just the type of news app that I have been looking for. Works flawlessly and give up to date news and you can control the feeds you want to see.
Jeremiah
The other day a co-worker collapsed to the floor and I told everyone to calm down because I had an app on my phone and couldn't wait to use it. You have to launch the app then gently but firmly place it on the person's heart where it scans their heartbeat and via the USB adapter on Amazon can even jump start their heart. Thanks Alphonso! If I could download this app twice I would just to rate it a solid 10!
John
My go to news source and most used app.
Sonja
Love this app!
Thomas
Great app. If I could have just one app on my phone, this would probably be it. Needs the option for more than 5 pages though. 10 at least.
Paciencia
I really like this app! One question/suggestion.. would it be great to be able to share articles with other pulse members? Just purely share articles
Jeffx
Great app. Pulls in news articles quickly and has custom notifications to alert you of new articles. Manages news sources well and the app is easy to use. Only had trouble rendering an article once. Other than that, great app 5/5.
jaydee
So slow and jerky that it's almost impossible to use. Scrolling while reading is frustrating. End up inadvertently clicking on links.
Jacqueline
Good but could be better Add a 4x4 widget please
Donnie
Excellent! This has become my favorite way to read RSS
zahoor
Great app It allow me to access articles on my favorites topics seamlessly.
leon
One problem Sometimes, it doesn't update the stories, even when I do a refresh. Samsung vibrant
Digital Jedi
Best News Reader The BEST news reader on the market. PERIOD.
domenico
Could be better Wish it had full stories... Also should be avle to add as many sources on one page.
Ritesh
Gud app Very good layout which is simple, rich and yet elegant. Dark background is boon for eyes in less lit areas.
sprured
Exactly what I was looking for Perfect news aggregator. Great UI. Easily customizable.
trtshen

I've been using this app for a long time now and its always fast and has so many different news sources to choose from. Perfect!
Kris
Pulse no longer shows all tabs ive created. Otherwise great app.
zoltanf
A bit buggy sometimes, but still the best expirience of news on a tablet device. Keep up the updates and the good work.
St0rm
Fantastic app. I use it daily but has been real buggy since the last few updates. Nexus S 4G
Lori
Lets you change all source plug ins so you can get whatever news you want!
Will
I'll use this app all the time. It works for all kinds of feeds including personal blogs on blogspot (add atom.xml to the end of the blog address).
Please allow the public to uninstall this forced app from our devices!!! I will never install any of your updates nor use this app just because you forced it on us!!!
Michelle
Works great. I enjoy having local and national news all in one place.
nhark
Used 5mb of data with background data disabled and phone in standby.
Mark
Constant updates & new feeds added makes this invaluable to my daily reading habits. Everything in one place.
Peng He
See all your new in one page, beautifully designed. A must have for any mobile user.
Left leaning news sources have nearly full articles. Right leaning sources have nothing more than the article title. Biased!
Gautam
Just one wish, please provide integration with LinkedIn.
Nevan
Even when not running. Getting updates when option is unselected. This all started since last update - pity, I really liked this app b4 they ruined it
Vincent
Get of my phone. Disabled in IP tables and it still get internet. What info are you stealing
scott
Lots if sources and a beautiful interface. I think john might be from fox news...
Eran
Other than gmail, my most often used app. Too bad the developer has difficulty solving the background update bug
John
Slow and buggy. Crashes or hangs all the time. Captivate. Gave it a third try this year and all it does is force close. Garbage.
Ariff
the best news summary app yet
NJ
Using Pulse is very much like living in the future. Where's my jetpack?
Жантемир
Easy to seeing news in app and in the widjets:)
Onkar Singh
This is hands down THE BEST NEWS APP. I'm so impressed! Thank you and keep up the totally amazing work.
randy
Try taptu much better layout and faster loading times with the same amount of content.
otter
This is the best android app I've seen so far. Such a great way to browse and consume the news.
Billy
Nice but.. It blacks out my screen while I'm reading articles. Very annoying. Overall a nice app though.
RandyB
Widget stopped working in 2.5.3 release. Also does not display many pages in landscape mode. Htc evo 4g
Goochiiie
Can you developers please update the app boot up screen so that it supports displays with higher pixel density? Thanks!
Antonio
Thanks again for taking my suggestion of a widget to heart. Love how it works and looks way better than I imagined! Will continue spreading the news of this great app!
William-Arthur
Pic your source (news, sports, special interest) and Pulse delivers. Awesome aggregation app.
Kinnan
Best news reader for phone or tablet that I've used!
Jamie
I loved this app until the latest update. Now it freezes my whole system and i have to restart. Can you fix it?
Stag
This is the best news/RSS reader out there, and I've uninstalled a lot! Highly recommend.
Alevins5
I use this apple multiple times every day. Its great for organizing my feeds and web comics all in one place.
Martin
But I have found other, that works better for me.
Ali jabir
i dont usually rate apps, but this us the best news reader ive ever used
amir80
The new sync is amazing allowing me to sync my nexus and ipad
Latest upgrade mafe me lose all configuration. All sources and rss. No bsckuo feature either.
zunk
As many have said before me. Update doesn't work! Background update seems to work most of the time.
tj
Great app. All the news I want in one place. Works well on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
TX WJ
I love this app, I wish there were a web os version.
tosheeba
This app is amazing for news readers. Fast to set up, brilliantly designed and butter smooth. Strongly advised
Christian
Best news reader! Tons of customization options but I find their "top" stories in technology to be very focused on Apple.
Kieran
A must have for Tablet owners!
Amy
Great app...when it actually loads something correctly. Uninstalling.
Chuckee
Very good app. Some display problems on rare occasions with certain websites. Otherwise, excellent.
Tewoderos
The best app on the market.
blackfang
I'd just like more sources, including international stuff.
deshawn
This app is great, gives me all the news I want and more, just perfect.
Christian
Best newsreader, when the stories load....please fix it devs!! 5 stars when it's fixed.
Kyle
On some articles it loads the entire thing and I've read half way down. Then it loads it again and only shows the main pic and title if article. Wtf!!

Angela
Frigging awesome especially for my samsung galtab
Chapel
I love this, it replaced Google Reader for me. I like the ease of browsing, quick preview. All and all best app I have installed yet.
Jamin
This app runs very laggy and absolutely the opposite from smoothness! What did you? Please fix it I won't use it further on in this way.
Julian
It's exactly what i've been looking for, all of my news, in one convenient app. Now i can read all of my tech, political and science news in one place
antony
This is great but needs more pages for to put more categories
Brian
Latest update force closes on startup...samsung epic...unistalling then reinstalling fixed it
cloudjubei
The only app I use frequently on the phone. You need to have it.
Ck
I love the access to independent news sources like Russia Today and Mathaba news. A great alternative to government controlled mainstream media in the US.
Diede
for some reason this app is incredibly laggy and slow on my samsung galaxy s, android 2.3. Taptu runs like a charm so I'm sticking with them
Cami
App is force closing on startup, Samsung galaxy
Kevin
The program works as advertised but the UI is too cute and clever, bouncing and sliding all over the place and getting in the way of my interactions.
Albrecht
... Kombination aus RSS-Reader und Browser. So muss eon Tablet-App sein.
Booga
After latest update stories don't load any more , only background updates.
Amit
Very nice news app, can arrange the news you want to read according to your prefetnce...can adjust the text size...take you to ththe website right from the app without having to launch the web browser...works seamlessley...will recommend to everyone...!!!!
Healyhatman
Good interface but some pages don't seem to be updating.
Rocas
but I do not trust to unknown web form that asks my google password. Please make native google authorization.
somerandomguy
Dark themes should be BLACK not gray. Black saves more battery and looks better.
Matt
Lots of sources to choose from, and you can have multiple pages for each theme which is pretty cool.
Andreas
Really nice app, but whenever I refresh a lot of my read items becomes unread again. Using Google reader account, Nexus S.
Brandon
Easy, clear interface. Simple to navigate. And adding streams that are not available on Pulse is a cinch. Just copy and paste the url and thats it!
Jerry
Sharing is such a pain...the menu at the bottom for sharing just doesn't work. Please include sharing in the context menu.
Debby
Needs a better widget (bigger and in list view, like HTC have) to seal the deal for 5 stars
Jake
1. Can it get video support? 2. How about dual screen for me? :p Kyocera Echo
trinity
Awesome app...
Em
I use it a lot!
Amazing app for consolidating all you news feeds into one easy to use, great looking ui. Well done!
TheUnbeliever
It "just works".
Sunny
Would be even nicer if it includes volume control as scrolling buttons.
Guy
but would love to have a "mark all as read" function. Galaxy Tab 10.1
Mark
This is exactly what I wanted for speeding up reading the news. All-in-one design gets the job done before it gets hired. Go for a chrome app.
yoladango
All of my settings have disappeared! I even have sync enabled? What happened??
klorox
Recent update removes my setting...sucks
miroslawski
Perfect,looks great,great functiknality,great GUI,very easy to use,very intuitive whilst loading feeds.i am overwhelmed.very original,neat and very very usefull

Advay
But could use a slightly better UI.
Jaime
Really convenient way of checking my feeds and blogs. Wish to be able to load more articles though.
sarah
Awesome use it alllll the time
Monty
Would love to see the ability to view multiple feeds in one widget.
Radu
The new "sources sync" feature was the only thing that pulse was missing.
Mor
Great job guys. Well done. Works like charm on galaxy tab
James
Would be great if the thumbnails would display. Samsung intercept. I'm gonna keep using TAPTU.
sister helen
Great for samsung captivate! Choose your news - cannot get any better
but it's a great news/sports app. Hey James, the thumbnails have always shown for me so what's wrong with your phone? Don't blame the app.
dakun
Cant say it any better, it reads feeds. does need a backup and mark all read option though.
Wildheart
This works very well on my advent Vega tablet, flipping through blog posts and web comics. It would be nice to had more pages to add sources to.
Li Xiang
Nice UI, yes, intuitive yes, responsive yes. But useability, no! Widget only supports single news source, this awful, I can't use it as feed reader, and only syncs with facebook account, why not google??? More over, you can only add in sources one by one even when you login your account!
Diego
It is easier too search for news in my cellphone than in my computer now
Scotty G
fantastic
mongo
Best!
Marc
Fantastic app... great way to keep up with and share your favorite news feeds.
Tino
Everything is easy to set up, and a load of info for everything.. best app ever!

jose

nanda
One of the best news aggregators i have seen...
Majid
Just the thing I was always looking for..
Abhi
I use it everyday. And I love it. Would recommend it to anybody who likes to be informed.
Billie
Love the integrations. I have not had any problems. I enjoy pulse.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance
Add more control in configuration, so we can choose number of columns, for larger browser viewing area. Ability to view flash videos as well. Cheers!
Baron
While I like it, I do still find myself going to the websites every once in a while.
ReggieD
Needs local news links then thus would be a 5.
Hanny
TAPTU is way better, because it opens ALL the articles completelly. Pulse opens only the first sentences of the majority of articles, making it useless.
Elaine
Its too intrusive, I don't mind updating, o Judy don't want to know every second Uninstalling.
jvsj
Would be 5 stars if you could mark all items read in a feed.
fadi
All your news resources in one great app, I spend the majority of my phone-internet time using it. It saves time jumping from one News app to another
Liz
Amazing app. Very streamlined, concise, and informative. Easy to use, never crashes. Widget is great too.
Yashwanth
really good, ended up playing less games and reading more, love it, must have
George
Great reader. Easy to set up. Problem is 95% of the news and political is from the left. Too bad there aren't more conservatives sources to chose from.
Douglas
Absolutely great. Clean interface, no ads, works flawlessly. Galaxy S2.
XW
Excellent, couldn't ask for more.
OJ
News have never been this interesting.
jollyollie
Great app but could do with some extra features.
Bradley
Doesn't save my preferences. The settings I change, change back after I exit the app. Galaxy S.
jim
One of the first things i do is open this app to grab my news for the day. Outstanding app!
Jeff
Great interface, great info, no down side, and it's FREE..used it once and was hooked and it just gets better and better
Steve
Works well - bionic
Wade
Good app
Uriel
Tailor-made news! Unbeatable!
Danny
What an amazing layout! I never knew I couldn't live without it until I tried it, and I'm glad I did!
ScarletKnight
I've used other news readers, and this is clearly in a class by itself. Excellent u/I, clean, crisp.
Steve
Can't close it completely. Runs in the background when I don't want it to. Gives me notifications when it is not supposed to be running. Uninstalled.
Walkop
PULSE does something quite well that other do poorly - it gathers different stories from a great many possible areas from WHEREVER you might choose, and glues them all into a super-intuitive and consistant interface with images, text, and even full webpages. It is just an incredible app for catching up on the latest stories - and it caches them for offline use as well, which is great. The only annoying thing is that you manually have to scroll through all your stories to cache the cover images, which are extremely important to me for offline viewing. I acn see how this might be an issue on devices data-wise, but what about phones and tablets that go through Wi-Fi? There should at least be an option, and that would help a lot IMO. Anyway, those are just some small issues. It's a great app; download it, you won't regret it!
No mark all as read function and doesn't sync read feeds as read on Google Reader.
Kelly
Use it everyday...has the best stuff!!
Lizbeth
And never shows up.
tjsocoz
I use this every day! Definitely a must have for anyone that likes to keep up with the news!
Sarah-Jane
Crashes a lot. Galaxy s
Fai
App, hope it can replaces the direct apps from other sites. Only problem is that for the web reeds it only copy the titles but not the whole news.
Joshua Niland
Just brilliant...use it every day on my Galazy Tab 10.1
moe6
Ultra convenient and well designed UI makes this a joy to use
Dave
My new favorite app by a longshot.
Dk
Updating to 5 stars. My infuse 4g had some issues out of the box, but after a factory reset and sd format...this works like a champ!
Goose
Love the pre-caching of stories so I'm not waiting. Reminds me of how FB on iPhone would have "comments" ready for display ahead of clicking +(view).
Eddy
don't try it except you want it made your device freeze plus it can't delete or remove no matter which way you tried.
erik
App really good news feed try it
Jian
I removed the app since it is using data even if I exit the program. It is not acceptable no matter how pretty the app is. There is already enough apps using data in the background. Yahoo mail, Gmail, Google voice, Heywire...too many. And this app is NOT a must have, especially when it steals data too. Bye.
Viken
Fixed the article loading issue, but now when I view the next article the previous one shows?
Matthew
It was the fact that this app could sync with my Google reader account that piqued my interest. Unfortunately it doesn't pick up on the categories.
Victor
One of my favorite apps, awesome :D EVO 4G
David
This has to be the BEST news app ever created!! Love it! This is a must download! ;)
joshua
Good, but mostly left wing news. Going back to fox
Tim
but a lot of the time if the headline grabs me I like to read the whole article. This where PULSE, I think, breaks down. It just shows the first few lines or paragraphs, with a link to the webpage for the whole article. Which just opened up in your browser. Would be nicer if whole news article could be read in the PULSE reader and not in the browser.
John
A one-stop-shop for news, blogs, social media etc. Makes many other apps obsolete
Jacky
Scrollable widget wanted
ahsan
Very useful
Oronolek
My favorite app
Eric

Phantom
Enough Said!
Madhav
One of Android's best apps
Amir
Easiest way to keep up with the news sources the user likes
Nova
I'd been waiting on an app like this for a while. One that isn't as minimalist as most rss apps, and also allows for some, but limited customization.
Ben
Definitely an app I was looking for.
Odai
It's the most application I use.
Jeff
Love the app. Made me forget about my other news apps. Working flawlessly on my bionic.
Brian
Easy way to get news from different sources while on the go. I would recommend.
Phani
Best app to keep you updated with latest news
Marina
I like it but I have trouble updating my stats on facebook because it kept logging off. Uninstall.
Matt

Robin
It's the number one app I use. The widget is on my home page constantly sending the news I want.
parth
Xperia arc & Android has been full of surprises. Pulse brings culture to already amazing reading experience in Android.
Angel
I love this because its all my favorite news articles from my favorite websites in one app, 5 stars
Adam
I finally found the reader for me.
Fonk

Andre
Simply Brilliant!
Ryan
Amazing!
oleg
Seems good
"Bob" or Rupert or Hector
Appears to be a strong and and possibly a most useful news app. However I am deleting because it appears to be too invasive.
Nice idea
kevin
This is a very informative app.
Dorian
Connects me to what I love! Perfect! HTC Inspire 4G
Beautiful interface and keeps me connected to the content I want to see.
Phil
By far best app I've downloaded since I got my Phone. Makes getting the news I want incredibly easy and efficient. Recommend to all
Eric
I have tried a bunch of other news reader apps, and interface-wise Pulse is the best one available.
Phillip
Solid. Use every day!
Dave
No thumbnails in many cases. Custom titles for the pages are erased or replaced when synchronizing. No "mark all as read". Used to be better than this
Rex
Missing the pictures in thumbnail view after the update. Will rate higher when this is fixed.
fonseca898
My most used app. So glad to have sync!
Madeline
Love the app just don't like how long it takes to refresh for new news.
Francis
It doesn't like to update the news ; update stays spinning and never ends keeping always the old news. Some tabs are blank.
Paul
I can't wait for new articles to appear. The only wish I have is that when u look for sources to follow, there would be a description of the blog!!!!!
Cagatay
nice app but it stays open all the time. i tried to force close it but somehow it gets started again and drains battery by using cpu. uninstalling..
Jason
Wish there was a more intuitive way of switching b/w pages instead of click on those small buttons and waiting for more thumbnails for more websites!
Raquel
I tried Taptu and loved the idea, but hated the ads and the fact that my read items didn't seem to sync with my Google Reader (maybe it did, but the ads made me uninstall before I could verify). This is everything I wanted Taptu to be. Love it.
Siraj
This application is very nicely layed out and it is very simple to use. Great for news and has a large number of sources. 5 star for me!! Samsung s2
Emmanuel
After update there's still lots of battery draining. get that fixed plz. SgsII here

No need for twitter now!
Eric
Worked great on my iPhone 4 looks great on my new Samsung galaxy s2!
Brodie
Forces close on captivate
Just ESPN doesnt update anymore & pls remove when you share an article via text the part where the headline is added to mms subject. Mms not necessary
Steven
Use everyday, at least twice a day! Best news reader on android - hands down. One small issue is sometimes lines go slightly to far right so it cuts a
Veronica
So easy to see all my blogs all in one place! Love love love. Updates always improving the experience.
scorpio
Can't uninstall tried everything including factory settings it still comes back
googlygroups
Please give option to be able to download more than the default 20 articles. I'd like to able to download, say, 100 articles from a certain feed.
OrthoDox
Keeps giving me a service unavailable, try again later. ???
Teara
I love this app for my tech news. I check it all day. Keep up the good work.
Raulan G
Great app on phones, but when installed on a tablet (Xoom) it tends to be laggy when the streams are updating and sometimes asks you to either force close or wait for the application to catch up
Mohamed Yousri
It's amazing app and liked it so much specially with importing feed from Google reader but why widget is limited to only one feed!!!!
Ruel
Every update made the app work worst than the last. Now there are no pictures in more items! UGLY!!
Rafi
Works perfectly with no issues whatsoever on both d2-r2d2 and Asus transformer eee pad :) couldn't ask for a better cumulative news app.
Ramon
I'd like to think that I'm not easily impressed but this app has definitely impressed me! No more visiting all my news and sites one by one on my computer. Impulse puts them all at my finger tips all at once and I keep them with me all day. The app is simply amazing and its as fun as it is useful. Only improvement I can think of is the ability to sort or customize the order of the sources. I'd prefer certain sources to be near the top so I would not have to scroll to get to them. Otherwise just loving it!
Gregory
...but it stopped displaying images in the feeds, and there was no way to fix it.
ian
Thank you for the bionic fix......Its been brutal!
Seems broken for several releases. No feedback that the app is trying to refresh unless you switch pages.
.
Very very good
Sean
I love the layout but animations seem to lag. Nexus S
Definitely a game changer. A beautiful demonstration of the power that lies in the marriage of art and programming.
russell
The best. Must have
Avatarzan
I love this app, my first and preferred information gathering source, and it's a really clean design, Droidx
Johnny
I have been using many different News readers for the past 2 years, but this is the BEST News reader ever!!
David
used to be great...but now you use up sooo much data on refreshing once...averaging about 10mb on one page refresh...thats ridiculous...uninstall
Nam
I use this everyday during my commute. One of the best, if not the best, news app out there.
Mirco
It used to be an awesome app but the latest update doesn't work properly on my Nexus S
DoC
The bionic fix! Love this App!
Michael
A joy to use.
Kyle
Sources like kotaku get stuck so back button doesn't work. Please fix
John
From the time of download I use this app every day. Very useful and informing.
Julien
Widgets are no longer working since today's update... Please fix! (GS2)
Test Account
Update removed my favorite feeds and wont let me add them back
Tylor
Best news app! My favourite newsreader. Flawless and intuitive.
zimneilo
Was great. Pulse update broke my news updates, nothing new coming in.
nick
Useless....thanks for the update!!
Magdalene
I just love pulse..so many things to read m learn thks!
Jini
So far my favourite reader. It would be great, if there were an option to open a video in fullscreen by default. Btw, thx 4 the "hide read" fix :)
Dan
Updates seem to be making progress; wish the source syncing had been more fully baked before release.
BitDrifter
Needed something to aggregate my tech news and google reader feeds with an eye pleasing usable ui. This was exactly what I was looking for.
Yuanjie
Best news app for android tablet! But crashes often in back after recent update. Please fix.
Aleks
Excellent!
Matt
Last update causing constant force closes... Never had an issue before. Used on hero, Eris, Ally, Droid X, Incredible 2, and Bionic.

Taptu just blows Pulse out of the water. I have this long page of streams instead of having to change pages. I have the whole article there instead of always having to click to read more. It is more fluid with easier access to Taptu created content and RSS feeds as well and greader integration. It was nice, Pulse...you have a great product but Taptu is much, much better.
Abhinesh

Irvin
Great app! Pulse is such an appropriate name.
D
Pulse and Taptu are the best offline readers period!!!
Asharpal
I spent days looking for a good news app in vain before stumbling upon PULSE. THE best app , nice features very responsive and a cool interface
Matt
Update deleted my saved lists. Bad
Francis
Highly recommended. They sent out a buggy update and fixed it in a few hours yesterday. They are always on top of it.
Aditya
Great app but constantly force closes on Bionic.

Please allow articles to own in browser/3rd party apps. Also, the ui really needs to be cleaner and less cluttered.

Can't stay off of it!
Keith
Looks great, easy to add/remove feeds, really like the 5 columns for organizing but it would be nice if the widget could show multiple feeds
Arvin
Works flawless on sgsii
Toby
One stop news shop, easy to use and only allows feeds that you implicitly request. Smoothe as butter. Epic 4g
Bill
After update I need to press Hide Read EVERY time I use the app. In the past it remembered. Very annoying. HTC Thunderbolt
Simon
UI is mint one of the nicest out there. Hard to believe its a free download. I definetly recommend
Geryd
Clean UI and only get the news I ask for.
Domenic
Was perfect till todays update now force closes every time it opens
Dan
With the recent updates, this thing is force closing constantly now. Fix, please! Droid Bionic stock
Keith
If you need the best news and rss reader on any mobile media consumption device, this app the one to get.
Brian
After the update I did, it force closes almost everytime I open Pulse or while reading an article. It did not do this prior to update. Droid Bionic.
Jay
Bust I can see there have been big improvements since I last used pulse. However it will not work on my Bionic. :(
Holger
Unsed to be great but stopped working on Droid Bionic since latest update. Pleeeeeaase fix!
sqlguy
This app is very useful but since the developer does not QA the app when releasing it is becomes a useless app. The latest release breaks everything good about the app. The hide/read feature does not work any more, the app totally broke all my feeds and reinstalling did not fix it. The developer of this app needs to get it together or it will be just another app in the junkyard of android apps. One good release and then downhill all the way.
guy
Wow. It's hard to imagine my daily use with the phone without it. Remarkable news aggregator with smooth, elegant, beautiful design and easy to use
Tylor
My favourite newsreader until the latest update. Hiding read sources is broken. Otherwise, flawless and intuitive.
Jini
the option "hide read" does not work properly with the current update. I have to select this option every time I open the app. That's a bit annoying.
C
I love this app..very smooth ui..all my favorite feeds..easy to share links..I can go on... welldone.. highly recommended!
Jorge
Hide unread doesn't stick! Update broke the "hide unread" feature. Night mode does not work as well as it used to. EVO 3d
DreamFX
Source syncing rocks!
Neil
It does a core of very useful functions seriously well. The only extra thing I'd love is images available for offline (how I use it 90% of the time)
Aditya

Some glitchiness here and there but nothing too bad. Amazing selection of feeds, smooth interface, and a nice widget. More widgets would be nice.

The last update deleted all my feeds and pages..I dont have time for this BS. Now i have to redo everything.freekin time vampire
D.Money
I've been waiting for the sync feature. App now complete
Anthony
Pulse is the most aesthetically pleasing news source app in the market. Notable features: sync sources in the cloud along w adding RSS feeds.
Francis
Lost my tabs. Renewed them and now we're playing hide and go seek. Do not update. Wait for the next update.
Pearlita
What happened?! My feeds no longer sync. App no longer remembers 'hide read' setting. I LOVE this app. It's my MUST USE daily. Hope bugs are fixed soon.
Ryan

Fix it. Even with no updates or notifications, it kills battery.
Emmanuel
by killing this app using the sgs2 task manager i've manage to increase up to 6 more hours of battery life. fix it plz
Brian
I love this app. Great way to follow your favorite news. I use it all the time. Can't believe it's free
Greg
Uninstalled a few months ago due to clunky UI, but now... well, I'm pretty impressed.
Viken
I love this app but please give me the option to enable/disable pop up. Why do articles not load, it generally alternates 1will not load 2will.
jord
Still my favorite app by a long .shot. Please fix the bug where the app refuses to update my feeds.
Israel
Everytime I've updated app, it resets it and I have to add sources again. Five stars if this problem is fixed
Chuck
Last update deleted my feeds... I'm tired of dealing with the repercussions of your updates so I'm uninstalling.
alan
One of my favorite Apps. Does a fantastic job of gathering the stuff I like to keep up with in one nice neat little package. Highly recommended.
Carlo
I really wish theres a way to view images even without wi-fi after loading them. that way i could view my webcomic feeds even w/o wifi afterwards. :D
Justin
Sure beats the sh!t out of the stock "news" app on HTC Thunderbolt. Highly recommended.
William
Fantastic app but it is quite greedy on your phones resources and stays on all the time
Drew
Could use more features like menu customizations after you create your pages. Also has an annoying habit of zooming in when you try to scroll down.
YDS
Nice app, but check folders on SD card-it uses 1G of your storage, mad! Also when uninstalled, a 800MB file can't be removed. Will use Taptu

Found UI irritating (borders keep popping up & suddenly re-sizing view) & kept re-showing read articles as unread. Going back to NewsRob
Tereance
I never would have thought that this would become my favorite and most used app.
Rick
Great app. One star missing because the home screen widget needs some work: (1) 4x1 to 4x4 phone sizes and even up to 5x+ for tablets (2) Transparency (and color tint) settings for text area (3) Buffered article auto refresh (like AP app) Would even be willing to pay for a "Pulse Pro" with these and other bells & whistles.
Clockwork Dave
Force closes like crazy. Pretty while it works though. Edit 6 months later. Still buggy finally killing it. Taptu wins. DHD
Fred
Love all of the articles it finds to read.
Andy
Great use makes forums browsing easy especially when well u know
Brad
This app nearly nuked my phone. It started to get very hot, so I checked only to find that pulse was using 100% CPU usage nonstop. Atrix 4g.
Korey
Used to work ok but for some reason it's becoming a resource hog and I often have to force restart my phone because it locks up my phone.
James
BATTERY DRAIN IS REALLY BAD - Add log in feature that saves favourites
pablomache
Great app messed up by last update. Constant refresh problems and using back button unloads recent articles. please fix. Moto Defy 2.2
Troy
Since last update I get grey screens, wrong articles displayed, only half the article displayed vertically and no tab that shows where you are. EVO 4G
Courtney
It feels like each new update breaks something else. Double-tap to zoom is the most horrible feature ever and is so frustrating when your hand slips and suddenly you're viewing at 75pt. Who needs to zoom that often? And the latest update broke the article formatting on my IS03 such that every article has a huge right gutter and doesn't fit on the screen.
Pintu
Great in terms of user interface, it's totally new experience.
Lex
fix it. shame cant share any article!
Lookas
This is the best RSS feeder I've used yet. Easy to use, organize, and has a user-friendly layout. Samsung Fascinate.
Patrick
Great app, but iw currwntly slowing down my phone, hanging and fc'ing frequently on my nexus one.... please solve this asap.
Chris
Great app, but deletes my feeds whenever there's an update. Really frustrating.
Ben
Honestly, as a student on a low budget, this is the only app I'd pay for, and it's well worth £5+, yet it's free! The only bug-bare I have with it, is that there needs to be an option to resize the widgets on tablets, as they look tiny on my Galaxy 10.1 WiFi, though they're perfect on my ZTE Blade. If you're into any form of news, fashion, gaming, international, local, social, etc; or just want to store RSS and other feeds from Tumblr or other blog/web sites, this is the app for you.
Stellarr
App very picky-still loads slow, updates lags my phone horribly. Post on Facebook never link to article-only to the app! WTHeck??? Major fail!
Perfect, but the home screen icon is a tad too large and you need to provide higher res logo for the splash screen. Nexus S.
Noah
I really love how Pulse can pull and sync to my Google Reader account. The presentation is clean and really fun to use. Did I mention it is clean?
Will
I'd gladly pay for it. I'd love to see a future update allow users to save the feeds they've set up to transfer from device to device.
tekrytor
puts my favorite feeds on one extremely elegant user friendly page. No dark mode in browser, still zoom issues. I prefer Greader pro.
Chris
This app takes a lot to run. Would be 5 stars if it can optimized to take less resources
MING

While reading an article, the bottom bar and top bar keep on getting in the way if you press on the screen. Also spams notification area frequently.
Dan
I found this app so hard to get used to. It may be very beautiful, but... has so many annoying design quirks that just make no sense! Frustrating!
Dakota
After latest major update, does not update feeds, runs very slow. Great reader marred by easily fixable problems.
Teng-Yan
Pretty interface, but please put in mark a source or all as read. Fair performance on HTC Legend CM7.
Trevor
Loved pulse when it first came out. Now it's clunky and slow. It also isn't very reliable. Would love if they would fix it.
KM
BUT THE WIDGET IS UGLY AS SIN!! I would use it, but the thing is ab eyesore to my homepage.
Alexander
I like the design and functionability of this app, but it uses 80% of my cpu when running in the background. Unnacceptable, uninstalling! LG Optimus V
Deet
I couldn't love this app more. Its slick organization let me delete other apps because it manages all my news in one neat interface. Terrific!
bt
XmUrF
That is awesome reader, that has only one flaw. On my phone (dhd) text reflow doesn't work that well, there is always some text outside the screen!
Gabriel
But too crowded for my small screen, so back to some inferior product I must go.
762x51
Good app, but it constantly stays running even with all notifications and auto updating turned off! No thanks!
Sachin
The fact is, it's so intuitive that if you fall off your chair, it'll likely pull you back up... Widgets: auto-update as expected. App: There is a phenomenal database of feeds to choose or search through, multiple pages with multiple feeds, shades or hides already-read stories, etc.
Vivimagic
great source for news! Shame you can't save your feed selection to your Pulse account! Also some stories don't load! Desire S
Danish
Never start my day without this!!! uninstalled all individual news apps (cnn, bbc etc) after this
Tim
Articles still look bad in dark mode. This problem has been here a while
Justin
I am addicted to Pulse, not gonna lie. The UI is so well-done; Google Reader would do well to take a few ideas from this app. Flawless execution, attractive RSS items and chock full of features. A few complaints though (-.5): - Page layouts and subscriptions can't be synced to the Pulse account (no import/export feature) - Read items don't sync with Google Reader... :""( - Night mode is great for battery saving, but poorly executed for items read on the web thru Pulse (black font against a gray background)
Adam
I'm using a Motorola ATRIX 4G which sports a dual-core nVIDIA Tegra 2, and this app will throttle my CPU due to bad coding.
Judith
What a fun app! News from any area you wish-and a great variety of different news sources. Love that you can read it off line! Keep it coming!
Alan
What a great news app! My favorite so far. Cannot wait to use on a tablet. Works great - just sometimes the scrrens are too small but that is the phones fault.
pi
Pulse seems to get buggier and/or slower by the update. At least on my droid x, it does. Update: Pulse has become useless on my DROID x.
Amol
I was looking out for a decent RSS reader application and this has turned out to be giving me more than what I expected. Very nice application. Displays the feeds in image and short description format. Fast application. Get yourself a good data plan and you will never regret for downloading and using this app. Must for every person who wants themselves to keep updated.
Temet Nosce
Cool interface but ridiculously drains battery. Needs to be much more efficient. Why would I need to keep it plugged in?
Asus
Very easy to get started with, simple to undo mistakes, excellent service for discovering unlisted feeds. Love how you can read the article without having to leave the application. A very well thought out an executed application. Reserving 1 star because the individual feeds don't wrap around when you swipe to the last article ;-)
TBuser2007
I hate those aggressive 2 out more times reminder on your phone. Anoying. Remind me real audio back in 90's. It cost the company eventually than good.
Jerry
This is a great app but just like a hot sexy chick that's way out of your league she'll seduce you into loving her and then she treats you like crap.
Matt
This really is a fantastic app! One of the few app's that I use every day, compacts everything from BBC News to Facebook to YouTube & hundreds more into a neat and easy to use space. Beautiful UI too, looks great on Honeycomb! 5 stars without question!
Bupahs
Without a 'mark all as read' option I can't use this app, it is to bad because it could have been awesome
rizla
but the interface (esp. in feed detail) is too fiddly to my taste. make it solid like feedly or taptu and you win it all.
JayQ
Google reader is more simple & relaxing when browsing the feed's & the new u.i. G.reader has has a nice simple transition when flipping threw feed's.
Milk
It took me awhile to really get hooked, but now I'm sold on this app. Smooth, fast, and excellent design. Its prefect for quick news consumption!
Leyyah
Amazing app. Love it. Should rllyy add a update ur status button though. so then we dnt hve to go to a different app to update
gregory
Great concept, but ruined when u try to scroll the current article and the stupid summary line with all articles keeps popping up. Uninstall
Kate
Would be a great app if it was faster & more reliable. Many articles will not open, or take unreasonably long to open. Also, app restarts at random.
ma-cho
Only one thought, too much "jumping and flashing" stuff - distracts very often from its main job - bring the news. Other than that, it is a perfect app. Works smoothly
John
Looks great, works great but has the odd bug. And today has started using 100% of cpu whenever I open it, which is really irritating.
Philip D.
This is another one of those apps you can't believe is free. The list of feeds is tremendous. I was even able to get National Right to Life and others
Jacob
Was great, wish someone would develop a similar app that actually refreshes when I try to, these guys are obviously unconcerned about users
B-Rice, Ninja, or just Jeff usually works
Take off the pop-up bar already. Very Fuking annoying
David
The killer app. In fact, if there were a "Pulse slab" (hardware that exists SOLELY to run Pulse) that was Kindle-thin, Kindle-light, with a9" 4:3 mirasol or Pixel Qi display, some kind of built in 3G service (no browser, 3G would just pull RSS feeds), and got 20 hours of battery life....I'd rather have that than my Asus Transformer. Forget Honeycomb, iOS, Ice Cream Sandwhich, QNX, whatever...the tablet form factor exists for Pulse. I'm ranting, but I'm right.
Shaun
Droid x gets very hot and bricks while using pulse for more than ten minutes. Happening after 2.3 update
Michael
This is by far my favorite and most frequently used app. Updates frequently. Needs better loading capabilities from sources with embedded videos, otherwise would be a five star app. Definitely the best news reader out there.
Ackshaey
The developers have done an amazing job with this happy. It is well rounded , beautiful n fast! But far the best news reader
Arturo
This app is fantastic, it's pretty, simple to use and quite customizable, BUT it consumes my resources constantly, even with background update disabled. So I force stop it but some time later it'll come back, even though I'm not needing it. This might not seem like an issue but when you have a Motobloat phone, you can't let apps waste your precious resources.
Alan
Installed Pulse a while ago and removed it. Then installed it again and love it. I have everything at my finger tips. Keep up the good work.
Dan
How many times have you been on the subway (underground with no service), tapped an article only to find the annoying "tap here to read more" and missing images within the articles? They need a TRUE offline option - they advertise it as working offline, but this is not the case. 3 stars until this happens.
Eirik
I like it a lot, but it would be nice to have a widget that uses all of my feeds as source, becaus having a widget for all of them is a vaste!
Christoph
The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't have the feature to mark posts as read when you've read them. I connected Pulse to my Google Reader account so I could catch up on those stories on the go. But because it doesn't mark those stories as having been read, they show up again not only when I access Google Reader on the web but also within the Pulse app itself. So I have to scroll through the 10 or 30 or 50 stories I've already read to get to those which I have not. Very annoying.
Cordenne
Honestly, it is excellent! Only thinğ I can say is I wish it were bigger. Like as big as the original News widget for at & t HTC Aria.
Sci
Edited: Great app but MAJOR data hog. Expect this apptt alone to eat more than 1gb per month unless you disable 3g data when not connected to a lan.

If you're into any form of news, fashion, gaming, international, local, social, etc; or just want to store RSS and other feeds from Tumblr or other blog/web sites, this is the app for you.
nickm73
Found UI irritating (borders keep popping up & suddenly re-sizing view) & kept re-showing read articles as unread. Going back to NewsRob
Troy
Since last update I get grey screens, wrong articles displayed, only half the article displayed vertically and no tab that shows where you are. EVO 4G
aelfwyne
But broken. DO NOT WIPE SETTINGS ON UPDATE! THIS IS AMATURISH At BEST!
James
BATTERY DRAIN IS REALLY BAD - Add log in feature that saves favourites
Patrick
Great app, but iw currwntly slowing down my phone, hanging and fc'ing frequently on my nexus one.... please solve this asap.
Hrishi
While reading an article, the bottom bar and top bar keep on getting in the way if you press on the screen. Also spams notification area frequently.
Dakota
After latest major update, does not update feeds, runs very slow. Great reader marred by easily fixable problems.
tekrytor
puts my favorite feeds on one extremely elegant user friendly page. No dark mode in browser, still zoom issues. I prefer Greader pro.
Chris
This app takes a lot to run. Would be 5 stars if it can optimized to take less resources
Alexander
I like the design and functionability of this app, but it uses 80% of my cpu when running in the background. Unnacceptable, uninstalling! LG Optimus V
Stellarr
App very picky-still loads slow, updates lags my phone horribly. Post on Facebook never link to article-only to the app! WTHeck??? Major fail!
Judith
What a fun app! News from any area you wish-and a great variety of different news sources. Love that you can read it off line! Keep it coming!
Tim
Articles still look bad in dark mode. This problem has been here a while
Teng-Yan
Pretty interface, but please put in mark a source or all as read. Fair performance on HTC Legend CM7.
Trevor
Loved pulse when it first came out. Now it's clunky and slow. It also isn't very reliable. Would love if they would fix it.
Vivimagic
great source for news! Shame you can't save your feed selection to your Pulse account! Also some stories don't load! Desire S
Deet
I couldn't love this app more. Its slick organization let me delete other apps because it manages all my news in one neat interface. Terrific!
XmUrF
That is awesome reader, that has only one flaw. On my phone (dhd) text reflow doesn't work that well, there is always some text outside the screen!
Matt
This really is a fantastic app! One of the few app's that I use every day, compacts everything from BBC News to Facebook to YouTube & hundreds more into a neat and easy to use space. Beautiful UI too, looks great on Honeycomb! 5 stars without question!
Will
I'd gladly pay for it. I'd love to see a future update allow users to save the feeds they've set up to transfer from device to device.
Danish
Never start my day without this!!! uninstalled all individual news apps (cnn, bbc etc) after this
762x51
Good app, but it constantly stays running even with all notifications and auto updating turned off! No thanks!
pi
Pulse seems to get buggier and/or slower by the update. At least on my droid x, it does. Update: Pulse has become useless on my DROID x.
Milk
It took me awhile to really get hooked, but now I'm sold on this app. Smooth, fast, and excellent design. Its prefect for quick news consumption!
Jerry
This is a great app but just like a hot sexy chick that's way out of your league she'll seduce you into loving her and then she treats you like crap.
Alan
What a great news app! My favorite so far. Cannot wait to use on a tablet. Works great - just sometimes the scrrens are too small but that is the phones fault.
JayQ
Google reader is more simple & relaxing when browsing the feed's & the new u.i. G.reader has has a nice simple transition when flipping threw feed's.
TBuser2007
I hate those aggressive 2 out more times reminder on your phone. Anoying. Remind me real audio back in 90's. It cost the company eventually than good.
rizla
but the interface (esp. in feed detail) is too fiddly to my taste. make it solid like feedly or taptu and you win it all.
Bupahs
Without a 'mark all as read' option I can't use this app, it is to bad because it could have been awesome
gregory
Great concept, but ruined when u try to scroll the current article and the stupid summary line with all articles keeps popping up. Uninstall
Asus
Very easy to get started with, simple to undo mistakes, excellent service for discovering unlisted feeds. Love how you can read the article without having to leave the application. A very well thought out an executed application. Reserving 1 star because the individual feeds don't wrap around when you swipe to the last article ;-)
Leyyah
Amazing app. Love it. Should rllyy add a update ur status button though. so then we dnt hve to go to a different app to update
ma-cho
Only one thought, too much "jumping and flashing" stuff - distracts very often from its main job - bring the news. Other than that, it is a perfect app. Works smoothly
B-Rice, Ninja, or just Jeff usually works
Take off the pop-up bar already. Very Fuking annoying
Philip D.
This is another one of those apps you can't believe is free. The list of feeds is tremendous. I was even able to get National Right to Life and others
John
Looks great, works great but has the odd bug. And today has started using 100% of cpu whenever I open it, which is really irritating.
Jacob
Was great, wish someone would develop a similar app that actually refreshes when I try to, these guys are obviously unconcerned about users
Shaun
Droid x gets very hot and bricks while using pulse for more than ten minutes. Happening after 2.3 update
Ackshaey
The developers have done an amazing job with this happy. It is well rounded , beautiful n fast! But far the best news reader
Alan
Installed Pulse a while ago and removed it. Then installed it again and love it. I have everything at my finger tips. Keep up the good work.
Dan
How many times have you been on the subway (underground with no service), tapped an article only to find the annoying "tap here to read more" and missing images within the articles? They need a TRUE offline option - they advertise it as working offline, but this is not the case. 3 stars until this happens.
Cordenne
Honestly, it is excellent! Only thinğ I can say is I wish it were bigger. Like as big as the original News widget for at & t HTC Aria.
Eirik
I like it a lot, but it would be nice to have a widget that uses all of my feeds as source, becaus having a widget for all of them is a vaste!
Sci
Edited: Great app but MAJOR data hog. Expect this apptt alone to eat more than 1gb per month unless you disable 3g data when not connected to a lan.
Noah
Just Wow! I really love how Pulse can pull and sync to my Google Reader account. The presentation is clean and really fun to use. Did I mention it is clean?
Brad
All of a sudden It's my biggest memory hog... Not sure why or how but it's very present and adversely affecting battery life. (incredible2)
pck
Beautiful but unreliable Great news reader with beautiful interface. But after latest update all my news sources were erased. Painful to manually restore.
amos
Only con doesn't push more articles . Needs push
TBuser2007
From great to disappointed bad I hate those aggressive 2 out more times reminder on your phone. Anoying. Remind me real audio back in 90's. It cost the company eventually than good.
Dawn
Reading area too convoluted for me. Don't want to fight with ui, pop-ups while reading. Uninstall
Laura
Amazing Plus, read the news on the subway!!!
dean
Great apps Run very smoothly. Contents load instantly. Just amazing!
Jonathan
Amazing Amazing app. I love how I'm able to have all my news in 1 place. Its definitely one of the apps I use the most on my phone.
Drew
Good way to aggregate your news Could use more features like menu customizations after you create your pages. Also has an annoying habit of zooming in when you try to scroll down.
purochapin232
Oh no Where's my widgets at.....
DarkFire
Superb app normally but the latest update appears to use a huge amount of system resources & battery on my HTC Sensation.
Alevtina
A must have Beautiful app, wonderful customization, and I love how I can browse through photos and other articles within web pages while never leaving the app
Denise
Pretty cool Really nice app, clean ui & works great on DROID bionic
Candyce
Wtf I wake up and EVERY source in my app is gone!?
Rofii
. Add a way to customize the size of the thumbnails to see more of the title and a way to import/export your feeds for backups and sharing feeds
Lord
Not sharing
Giovanni
Overall quite good It has a lot of potential and it usually works smoothly, dev should fix bugs since it crashes once in a while. The UI is a bit intrusive while reading
pilastr_agonistes
Five times now it has crashed and deleted all my feeds. Add backup and restore for list of feeds!
BlackHawk_Geek
Excellent App!!! I must admit this is an excellent app. I appreciate if dev could add more topic like CIO CSO then it be like icing on cake. I give 5 stars to this.
mike
Pulse news on mt3gs Loving it and it works great
Rajesh
Great design perfect news readers
Korey
Used to work ok Used to work ok but for some reason it's becoming a resource hog and I often have to force restart my phone because it locks up my phone.
Rose
Such a great app! Use it alot!
rizla
Great concept but the interface (esp. in feed detail) is too fiddly to my taste. make it solid like feedly or taptu and you win it all.
Mark
Update made it not work. Force close every time. Evo
Andy
Used to use this daily till I learnt what a shocking amount of data this thing uses. Uninstalled.
fleabite
Nice interface but keeps defaulting to using "medium" bandwidth even when I set it to use low or custom. Uninstalled.
Frank
Uses too much data Uses lots of data even when it is not active
KM
Nice, but I prefer to read directly from web. Dell Streak 5.
Hrishi
Gets in the way While reading an article, the bottom bar and top bar keep on getting in the way if you press on the screen. Also spams notification area frequently.
Ahmed
Weird thing is .. the app just disappears from my phone like it was never there. It was great before the latest update. What a waste!
steve
Brilliant app highly recommend it. Don't forget to check out the add on s
Weasel
What happened? Since the last update manual updates dont seem to work and i get the same news articles ALL day... ugh. Used to be 5 star app... now a 2. Nexus S.
Eugene
Too many new features made the app slower. Galaxy S 2.3.3
Jackee
Some website unable to get full story. Changed to Taptu now. seem better
Dawn
Reading area too convoluted for me. Don't want to fight with ui, pop-ups while reading. ahh, found great app. Uninstall
MB
It's ok... But the widget sucks. Pulse needs to seriously step up their game for tablets.
Veena
Brilliant interface..all the news i want to follow in one app :-)
Joseph
Awesome all in one place Love this app! I visit 6-8 sites multiple times every day. This app puts them all in one place and allows me to easily see what is and isn't updated
ankushkool
Great app, would be more comfortable to read if it had a option of list view :)
Dallas
Force closes a lot Its great but needs performance improvments, bad.
cockroach
News won't load It's a very convenient app...the only thing is after I read a couple articles, it won't load anymore and the screen will go blank. Moto Droid
Grant
Love it. Great app.
don
One stop news depot. Works awesome on Evo 3D. Very intuitive!
XmUrF
almost perfect That is awesome reader, that has only one flaw. On my phone (dhd) text reflow doesn't work that well, there is always some text outside the screen!
Louis
Really cool news app
Luke
Use it daily. Must have app for me.
Julian
the best. I have been through 18 readers in the last 2 months, this is quite frankly the best one i have found so far. not only is it beautiful but it makes reading so pleasant. seriously you got to give this one a try, i wish you guys made an app for chrome i cant find a decent reader for the web that is well organize and not an overload of line by line text.
Chris
Excellent app. Easy to use and to add own interests
Abdulrahman
So Good
Jay
Sync doesn't The google reader sync doesn't work. Not wasting any more time on it.
vivek
Crash.... SGS GT I9000... Plz fix it.
ALLCAPS

Ken
So-so, Potential to be a great app but is plagued by bugs and minor annoyances.
Josh
Elegent
Kai
Love it! Just wanted to try it because I saw the icon in lots of screenshots and instantly fell in love with it. Needs a webOS and a PC version.
Danish
pulse Never start my day without this!!! uninstalled all individual news apps (cnn, bbc etc) after this
SUTTY
Love it Lots of different news sources
Dan
Nice app. However... It'd be great to have the option to open any selected article in an external browser (rather than having to display it in pulse first).
Eirik
Great, but... I like it a lot, but it would be nice to have a widget that uses all of my feeds as source, becaus having a widget for all of them is a vaste!
Andy
Good
JayQ
Nice u.i......but, Google reader is more simple & relaxing when browsing the feed's & the new u.i. G.reader has has a nice simple transition when flipping threw feed's.
Johnny
Amazing
Eduardo
Good app, still some minor bugs when you switch to other app, but work well on Galaxy Tab 7" Froyo
Oscar
What happened? After last update my atrix was rebooted and I lost all my feeds and saved stories, this app used to be awesome
Ryan
My HTC Desire S has developed burn in from the social/share buttons that don't disappear while you are reading an article!!
cigan1
Perfect app The first app I wrote a feedback for. Was waiting for you a long time. Thank you!
Switch Styles
Phenomenal I love this app. I use it for all my gaming news !
Niall
Very useful and a good app, but I feel like I'm using a poorly ported iPhone app. Take advantage of the hard buttons and give better/more settings.
Ricardo
Conceptually cool, but... It kind of sucks having to choose between "battery inhaling always on" mode versus "painfully slow manual refresh" mode. Neither route is ideal.
stephan
Great layout. One of the few apps in the world that makes your life just a wee bit easier. Thank you for that.
D-Rock
Works great. Easy to use. MT4G
owaief
Used to be awesome. Now it's just slow, real slow
nickm73
Pretty But Slow Found UI irritating (borders keep popping up & suddenly re-sizing view) & kept re-showing read articles as unread. Going back to NewsRob
Eric
What did you do? After last update, rebooted my HTC inc, all my feeds were gone and now it is extremely slow.
Chacho
No offline reading Nice layout indeed but not easy to work with (mark read, review, etc). Can't import opml files (only google read). Can't read offline (e.g. on plane).
vinospizza
Will not uninstall! Evil.
Jesse
The best A must have for your Android
Andrew
Battery killer.

Best RSS reader out there. I'm having a problem with refreshing the feed though. Other than that, it works great. -Droid Charge
PUSHKIN

herd
Only app I use everyday.
Gurpreet
Why did I not workload this earlier. Awesome
Manny
Slow! Depressingly slow load times even on my Epic 4G. Still one of my favorite apps but the turtle speeds keep me away from it. 3.5/5
Carl
Keeps crashing and losing my feeds! Seems to happen after power cycling the phone.
miko
Update... Good app!! But.....does not update the articles right away...it seems to be 5 hours behind. The refresh button doesn't work well either.
Ray
Great app, cool new update, it reads better. EVO 3D
Ackshaey
Amzingly sophisticated The developers have done an amazing job with this happy. It is well rounded , beautiful n fast! But far the best news reader
Clockwork Dave
Too buggy Force closes like crazy. Pretty while it works though. Edit 6 months later. Still buggy finally killing it. Taptu wins. DHD
Dante Filth
The Best News Reader On Android.
Bupahs
Could be great Without a 'mark all as read' option I can't use this app, it is to bad because it could have been awesome
Joe
Horrible inner browser The app itself is great whats horrible is the inner browser. android itself does a pretty decent job with the browser why would u use it
person
invert color on iOS is quite elegant. I wish Google would add a similar thing to Android, as well as a way to dim the backlight WAY down.
Roy
Great RSS reader Wish it had more slots!
Victoria
Meh Some articles don't feature the full story without clicking a link and sharing doesn't send the whole story. I remember why I uninstalled this before.
Mike
Really like the app, but causes lock ups and battery pulls on my phone. Droid x. Latest update helped a bit, but still there.
R
Home screen widget needs work Great app.

Last update removed all my feeds and the refresh does not work properly. Too heavy now. 5 stars when fixed.

Android version lost all feeds on update. Android marketplace seems reluctant to post unfavourable review. Galaxy II.
Stuart
Was sceptical about the hype but this such a sexy, useful app. Brilliant.
Victorio
All of my feeds disappeared. Will rate five of they come back
Chris
Some problems but good. Refresh is spotty although usually works like it should on app startup. Tap to zoom in web articles is great! No sound in flash videos.

Matt
Love it Love it
Eugene
Wastes CPU by constantly launching automatically Even after disabling ALL automatic content updates and leaving MANUAL refresh only, the application continues to run in background and waste CPU.
the_d36
Excellent UI, needs a couple more options This is an awesome reader with a very slick UI. Please add "mark all as read" option so I don't have to remember the last article I saw.

Rick
Most Useful App on the Market Truly usful and well designed apps like this are hard to come by. Thank you! #1 App on my LG G2x.
Dan
Great news app, but NOT OFFLINE How many times have you been on the subway (underground with no service), tapped an article only to find the annoying "tap here to read more" and missing images within the articles? They need a TRUE offline option - they advertise it as working offline, but this is not the case. 3 stars until this happens.

Cool until you scroll and get annoying popups Great concept, but ruined when u try to scroll the current article and the stupid summary line with all articles keeps popping up. Uninstall
Jessssss
Love this app its good sources but I can add my own that I like
Chaos
Nice app. Having a widget which just flicked through all your feeds showing headlines would make this a 5 star app.
John
Last update added some cool new features, but now it runs unbearably slow on my htc evo. 5 stars when they fix this problem.
D
Love it. As with all things, there's the occasional glitch, but overall a great app for news!

Best news reader ever!
Jerry
Good visual news source Overall a great app. Needs to add "merge" and "mark all as read" function for individual news sources like Taptu.
Janice
Great app! I'd get this for my pc if I could. This shows so much info in one spot. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it sometimes zooms instead of scrolling.
McConnell, Jmac
Great app I love this app. I'm going to look for it for my browser now!!
Blake
The best. In my opinion this is the most well built awesome app on android. I litteraly have spent hours on it lol plus its free :D

Good, but too liberal Relies too heavily on the left wing sources, but otherwise, very strong. salon, etc are just left wing propoganda machines.

Too frustrating. Cool, but . . . . Works well, but everytime you try to scroll what you're reading, a line of windows pops up and blocks what you're trying to read
Ansher
Fantastic app. Must hav for anyone who reads a lot. Need option to rearrange the pages, disable the auto popup of new scrolls while reading.
ma-cho
Good app - works great Only one thought, too much "jumping and flashing" stuff - distracts very often from its main job - bring the news. Other than that, it is a perfect app. Works smoothly

Again this is almost unusable after last update (perf. horrible) DInc1. Please consider revert to pre. ver. I recom. this app, but making ME look bad.
Tobes
Lovely app Been using this app for a week & love it! Makes consuming feeds a very pleasant experience.
John Paul
It sure is pretty, but its really annoying that so many articles link to blank screens. Many sources dont seem to work.
Luca
Offline mode has been unreliable for the past 3 months and the dev failed to respond to my support request.
Benjamin
Love the layout!! Unforunately, 9 out of 10 articles (when tapped) only loaded a white screen. Disappointing. Uninstalled....
Chris
Still no fix for refresh issues? Wish I could go back to pre 2.3 version. This app has gone from awesome to below average in recent updates. Nexus one

Dude. Love it. I never take the time to rate apps unless it's a 6 or a -1. This is like 7 out of 10
Helen
Brilliant
Beezo56
You guys have messed up a good thing. The update took away my view of all pages and it doesn't refresh anymore. WTF!!!!
bob
This app ROCKS!!!
Chris
Refresh SUCKS! And I used to like pulse... wish I had stayed with pre 2.3.3...
Cheng
Great app running well in different screen sized devices
Sam Liddicott
Why does it need location?
Teddy
Decreased permissions --Way to go, pulse!
lffranco
Yes, its a beautiful application, but the offline use is quite limited
bobby
Use the app everyday and love it, just wish the refresh on startup was back
Jon
The visual environment is great, but why no mark all read button? What about a quit or stop updating? It runs constantly used or not.
Mary
Great app, except that it constantly runs in the background, even if I haven't used it in ages. A quit function would be nice.
Tim
Was great, after last update app randomly resets and loses all my feeds. LG Optimus V. Please fix.
Kaiser
Removing permissions = increased trust +1
Brian
no longer refreshing on opening of ap
Mathijs
Thanks for making pinch/zoom work!
electrothusiast
Article selected is not article displayed, does not display article correctly. Xoom
carlos
By far the best social/news app aggregator out.
Nishanth
Useful but not so outside us
Jennifer
I love this app. So easy to add and remove news sources. It automatically updates when new news or stories are posted. Thanks for the great app!
Lessthantito
Fantastic news app the best one for android yet!
Cameron
Love this app! Use it every day. But since major update no longer refreshes feeds when I open. Setting is still enabled. Please fix for 5 stars!
Ron
My favorite app, use it everyday, keep up the amazing work and thank you!!
Michael
Great for a tablet maybe Great for a tablet maybe, the looks of pulse are unmatched. But without offline pictures there's no point in pursuing this. Newsrob free takes the cake.
Dan
Mmm sucks so yea
Stewart
Good info, but CONSTANTLY wanting to update!??
Glen
Great app but needs offline photo cache, a button to update all articles and could do with a widget (1x1 and 4x1)
Matt
Latest update is just broken Lots of freezes and crashes on my phone. Found this app was using over 100mb of memory and was the cause of all my problems. Uninstalled until the memory leak is fixed.
DJ Blvd
This app worked great on my Eris, but on LG Revoution, stories do not load. Will download again if fixed.
Derek
Since when is 2.2.1 Eclair? lmao.
Jonathan
Background updating and hogs cpu, even when I disabled this in the settings, noticed this from last update. Uninstalled. SCHi500 2.2.1EC
Teddy
LOVE this app! Especially the new feature to save articles. I've been hoping for a feature like this for some time now.
Ali
Great UI but needs to be able to handle more sources, and to make a backup of sources.
Jason
Best news reader in the market!
ItsMe
Excellent very customizable
Jason
Excellent app!! Keep the app in the phone's internal memory. If u move it to the SD card the widget won't work.
Noel
Love it! Why didn't I try this sooner htc thunderbolt
Alan
Less smooth since 2.0.4 update. Pulse logo on startup screen is blurry now.
Ernie
Pulse is the most-updated news application I can find.
Sofia
Great app! Love the customization and functionality. Just wish it had a better widget.
Lloyd
Very reliable now.
joshtulkin
Great interface and search engine. Would pay for more features and backup.
Russ
Great way of scanning news. Intuitive interface and a pleasure to use.
Teagan
My most used app! Never any problems. Always works smoothly. Lots of good features like induvidual refresh and dark power saving mode. vibrant 4g
david
This the best app yet. I love the facebook interface.
David
Nice UI, but the 20 feed limit makes it unusable for me. Will try again when 50+ feeds available
doni
This is so cool
digi137
Love it. Cnn sucks. Works great on my droidx
Justina
It's a really great app :). Only, there're hardly any sources for magazines directed toward African Americans like Essence & Ebony. That needs change.
Adam
Awesome app puts all the news i care about in one easy to use app! Wake up every morning and check texts, emails, then pulse. OGDroid
Stimpy77
I dislike the pagination! I could thumb-scroll for hours but selecting pages with my thumb while still scrolling is awkward and unintuitive.
Elys
Love this app! Totally supports my ADD (in a good way!) and I get to read some really cool stuff!!
gary
It's very pretty with lots of feed options...but you only get a brief summary. If you want the whole story..you get linked to the web. Why bother?
Vito
Good app to choose It's better than my HTC default news reader
Jason
Taptu is less pretty, but much faster. Plus, you get the whole article.
Sunnie
Very good app.
Simon
A brilliant app for news and it looks fantastic. Give it a go! HTC Desire. Update: A lot slower since update. Forced pages = bad.
Luke
Must have
Liz
Love it
Bryan
Love this app. Helps me keep tabs on what's happening around me and in my hometown.
Matt
By far the best feed/reader app out there, fully featured and a great intuitive interface
TedBeer
Zooming does not work as it used to. Slow updates.
Chris
Great application . I love it. I also downloaded kapturem new photo sharing app. It's great everyone should check it out
Steven
Best interface for news from a variety of sources & can read summary articles off-line
Scott
Loved the app but causes my application data to be too high!
killian
Amazing UI, makes reading news and blogs an utterly enjoyable and addictive experience. Works perfectly and looks great on evo 4g
B
Very poor program. Most content results in blank pages. Doesn't work over 3g, loads every result twice doubling bandwidth usage,
MJ
Everything looks nice, but the navigation is way too sensitive, so the screen is constantly changing when I don't want it to. Drives me nuts.
Sam
No refresh on 3G... I have 2 phones: HTC Incredible S & Motorola Defy... content won't refresh on 3G connection... I didn't select "Refresh on Wi-Fi only". Anyway, better introduce function to backup sources... I have 3 Android devices and I have to select the same sources on them one by one.
yong
The best news app.
Jennifer
Love it.
Jon
Great but would be nice to have a widget.
Agnaye
Best news reader ever!
Andy
No "mark all as read" option, uninstalling
Lee
Really love this app! ;)
Joseph
Was 5 star but has got more and more laggy.
Niranjana
Nice n helpful app!!
miguel
Really great app but zoom don't work on pictures G2
M-A
clever, clever app. one of the best news readers there are out there. ab fab on the galaxy tablet - so easy to see what news I want to read!
Scooter
So far so good! I've seen comments about being a resource hog, but I haven't noticed yet. Best news reader I've used yet! Great app!
Aseem
Back to the basics, using 1.9.4 version ... Overall Better UI than TAPTU, but higher memory and internet usage
James
Best RSS reader I have ever come across
Joe
Good, but it runs non stop. It kills my battery in 4 hours.
Flip
This is a really cool app. You'll love it. No doubt.
Lachlan
Very handy! It's the most versatile of all the news apps I've tried. Having all my rss feeds organized for me too was a plus. Highly recommended!
Ignition-Images.co.uk
No options to remove spare pages. Interface is still laggy. Higher battery usage...
Belse
Excellent. Though I want to get rid of the "pages". And be able to use real pinch-zoom rather than gestures (can live with built-in zoom controls)
helder
Use this everyday! Keeps track of every news feed. Hasn't ever fc'ed.
Jeff
Doesn't pull from enough sources. Almost a little bias to the point of a dev agenda
Stu
Before the major update it was rad. Now it's slow, and buggy. and the multi page feature is excessive. You ruined it.
Katherine
Love this app! Highly recommend!
Paul
Nice looking, Poor functionality. do no show enough news items for each feed. Still shows after reading. NewRoom better.
Tybo
So so awesome! Most used app on my phone.
jeff
Free!!! Beautiful! Always improving. The most professional & well designed reader available! Cut down my browser usage. Great on G2 & Tbolt
jj
Why do thumbnail images never show up on 99% of feeds? Why can't you read stories thru the app,w/o linking to their sites on all feeds?False advertisin
Tin Seng
Disappointed
Christophe
Was awesome. Still is, but since v2.0 my Galaxy S grinds to a halt. Moved to Taptu even though that doesn't display as much of the articles as Pulse.
ricardo
The best rss feed reader ever! I love it! Improvement!
James
Beautiful, simple and effective. One of the best RSS Readers I have ever used. Seeks basic info from Facebook when connected to FB, unfortunately.
Cameron
Great app
rL
Update fixed force closing. Desire 2.2.1
Kevin
This is the app I use most on my phone. Lots of updates, there is nothing else out there that compares.
gretta
Hey if you are looking for free stuff check out DroidPrizes.us They give away free stuff daily to android users!!
Enrico
The best newsreader together with newsroom. Now with up to 60 threads. Pure perfection in a beautiful wrapping
michael
Please let us save to instapaper like on iOS! Also, I miss the widget. Still an amazing app, I would rate it 10 stars if I could.
marksheff74
Seems a bit unstable since update. Slower to open app and stories. Force closes occasionaly as well. SE X10
Khaji
Awesome app, love it
Paulo
Pages are fine if you can customize how many you need. Sluggish. Youtube / video window sticks on the screen when going back to pulse main
KalSeth
New version is much slower and looks bloated with the forced page tabs at top. May uninstall. More useless bloat no option to customize
Ofotsu
Worked well up until the last update. Now it scrolls sideways every time I try to scroll down. Xperia x10
Brent
Great news app
Chelsea
Hate the new update! Always slides to next article when I'm trying to scroll down
Joshua
My favorite app on ipod touch and OG Droid but buggy on thunderbolt... Can't add sources without foreclosing. 5 stars when this is fixed
Matt
Great design and really useful built in web viewer, but it's limited to a pathetic 25 feeds and the devs don't seem to be in a hurry to improve it.
Christian
Very nice and easy to use. Nice overview of all the latest news. Recommend!
Will
Crashes everytime with HTC bolt.
cyprianni
Excellent app, clear and concise, makes looking at multiple sources a pleasure and not a pain. Highly recommended! HTC Desire
nailerr
Night mode will be a power saver for AMOLED screens, black background would still be better though.
Weston
Needs "mark all as read" and ability for more than 25 sources
Ryan
Force closes every time when adding new sources On Thunderbolt. Anyone have a fix?
Josh
Love it works great on my captivate
jalton
It's a great looking app, nice navigation and transitions. But just way too fragile. Constantly crashes and shuts down on its own.
Danny
Awesome app. Has become my default source for information that I want, nothing I don't :)
gaza
Superbly made. You should teach a class on how to make an app which is perfectly adjusted for mobile phones. Speechless...well done!
mr
All the eyecandy makes it sluggish & prone to force closes :-(
Dennis
Awesome app + widget but 31mb memory running in the background w/ manual updates.. thats a bit extreme
smokindad
Two words: Love it!
James
Fantastic. I use it daily. Hint: turn off notifications and just refresh when you feel like reading. DroidInc
Shannon
My go-to app for news hands down.
Phillip
This app is amazin.
Eric
Great implementation! Lost a star for annoying image load process and inability to mark whole feed as read. Must click each headline manually.
K80
Love it!
steve
Good app. However it REALLY needs a mark all as read option for individual sources like Google reader has. 4 out of 5 till then.
Joey
Great app, widget works almost perfectly and looks good too. Only reason it didn't get 5 is the refresh button is hard to register. Atrix
Duke
Would be perfect if you could add a stream of news for certain topic and not just for a single source. Otherwise it's great!
Alek
Great app was looking for one like this that has loads to read!
Mike
Awesome.. love it.
ricardo
The best rss feed reader ever! I love it!
Steve
This app is a breath of fresh air! Breathes life into the boring world of rss readers..runs great on 1.5 too!
Meneldur
Neat and nice. Well presented. Good idea. Doesn't show all the news nor lets you mark all feed read
Travis
Why are links so slo? Love the look, love the interface. But why, when I click a link to view the full story, does it take forever to load the page? Google Reader does in seconds what it takes this app a minute to do, it doesn't make sense. It's bad enough that I don't even use it, just for that reason.
Mitch
Needs a Mark All As Read button desperately! Would be 5 stars if had that. Otherwise, awesome!
audrey
Hey if anyone is looking for free stuff check out DroidGifts.Info They give away free gifts daily to all android users!!
omair
Brilliant. Add push notifications and ill give it a 5. At the moment refreshing takes a lot of battery
Matthew
Great for getting multiple info, to fit your everyday needs!
BBYM
Awesome! I currently use buzzdeck and I'm thinking of switching especially when I get the Motorola Xoom
Nicolas
Certainly above average, but it has some flaws. Call me dumb, but I prefer the stock News and Weather app.
Todd
Very cool. Nice interface and easy to use.
Aju
Like the fancy ui.but falls behind greader in the following regards - Unreliable refresh button.
Jan
Once user gets the hang of tools & settings to delete unused items, interface is very good. I would recommend Pulse.
Nicole
This app is gorgeous and totally easy to use. It lets me add my own sources and as I read an article, I can continue to scroll through headlines.
Curt
Visually appealing and useful.
Nicole
One of my favorite apps! Incredible UI. Google reader sync would be perfect.
anthony
Loved it...but after the last update it Keeps crashing and the button to report disappears b4 I can hit it...
Kage
Needs way to group feeds into single bar & way to mark all read without having to go thru each article individually
Steve
Love the the UI for this type of RSS feed
Matt
Having issues with links when trying to read full article. Beginning to get extremely annoying. Worked great for 1st 6 months, Dev got any help?
Mark
Excellent app. I find myself using it several times during the day. Addictive!
Solomon
I'm giving it a 3. The app runs high in the background of 30MB!!! That'll definitely drain your battery. Other than that, everything works very fluid.
Delight
Force closes locking up phone.
tom
Crashes repeatedly after last update
Lucas
Simply the best news app on android. Customizable rss feeds. Beautiful programming.
mjw555
Very slick! I like it a lot so far.
Michael
Fantastic app. Clever design makes it one of the best news apps out there
Tremoloadebut
Really nice app, but my phone can't handle the slick graphics. Wish it could!
Lars Øyvind
The app is great, but can be very heavy on data usage. Use with caution if you don't have data plan.
Daniel
Nice app. Nice layout and customization.
Jacek
Nice app but it uses a lot of battery. Also there should be an option to hide read feeds.
Evan Haines
Really polished interface, allows you to read liked websites w/o exiting to browser. Nice Google integration. Really needs "mark all as read" feature
kim
Very cool app... vibrant
Hagge
Utterly awesome and innovative reader. One of the best looking apps I have seen. Wonderful ui, extremely well made.

Gary
I really enjoy this app. Love the experience and feel of it.

Best reader I have used. Came from webos but have used newsroom and like this better.
BRENT
Glad to see the devs have finally started to address some of the issues. Things are starting to look up again.
mcmugchu
Nice but won't use it until it can sync with Google reader
John
Love it. Kinda wish you can have more than 25 feeds though.
Tez
Very nice GUI and works properly
Derek
Five star app, best overall reader around. However, it force closes when launching from widget. Fix it. HTC Incredible, official 2.2 VZW release.
John
Slow and buggy. Crashes or hangs all the time. Captivate.
Jonah
would be great.. if it didn't force close so much.
Olivincea
Widget keeps FC! Would give 5stars.
Wallenbees
Fantastic program terrific UI
Denis

Fc a lot if you use the small widget
Florencio
Great aggregate except for the fact that certain articles will always force close
Julie
This app has made my web browser useless. Very handy! Force closes on widget touch though.
anushka

Kelly
Looks good. Nice that it also includes facebook status updates with profile pictures
bribri

David
Actual app is beautiful and awesome. Force closes way too much.
Kevin
Wow. This app will save me a ton of time surfing around. Best app i have on my backflip
Truth Truman
Great news reader, I use the widget a lot. Unfortunately, it force closes way too often.
Christopher
Bitchin! Can even add obscure stuff like JS Online. Elegant, smooth, perfect.
John Michael
5 stars if it didn't need force closing from time to time. Other than that, I love using it!
lori
I tried a few other frustrating news apps, but I came back to Pulse. Beautiful interface and the ability to check Facebbok is great!!!!!
Terry
Beautiful UI, awesome layout and overall design. Getting random closures when attempting to read some news articles.
HB2GO
UI both user-friendly, and stunning. Amazing app if you have space! Should save to SD by default. Crying as I delete this perfection. (Backflip/2.1)
Owl
Works perfect on my Galaxy S.The only thing is that I don't know how to connect to my own Twitter account.
Metris
Visually stunning but no option to categorize the feeds. Left pulse for feedr.
Terrance
Pretty
Carol
Beautiful UI, works great. I use this as my one-stop news source.
Tash
I love this app, looks great & works even better!
Jbone
User-friendly and makes for an easy read. Get your daily news dose w/ ease. Stable and reliable. Best I've used so far.

Very beautiful, complete UI (with MULTITOUCH!! =D). The widgets do not fit on an empty homescreen in LauncherPro, rooted Motorola Droid 1, UD 2.5.0
turshu
Nice app but did anyone tried to access google rss?
Antonio
Love the application but force closing is getting annoying... please fix.
reader
Perfect!
Madis
Really well polished.
timothy
Different type of look. Love it. Tbone√
LT
This is beautiful. My Android phone is complete. If I had a complaint, it would be that some buttons are tricky to press on smaller phones.
Dwayne
Awesome news reader, really impressed.
MinnWaiYan
New update force closes.. htc desire.
tabnuland
Great app, very nice widgets! looking smooth! and for free!

john
Its gotten better with the updates
ian
Great app!
Julie
Wonderful update. Works and updates feeds nicely.
Jnugz
Please remove the finger swipe thing. Really appleish and i am constantly switching stories when im just trying to pan left or right.
Walt
Update: seems to load much faster for me. (My data is kinda wonky right now flashing Roms) this is awesome. Vibrant
Mike
It seems the app is getting more bugs and less features with each update. swiping to next or prev page is gone so you have to use crap bottom bar
NG
V1.7.4 unable to.swap left or right during reading. Galaxy tab.
Andrew
Nice when it works, but not really stable yet
Hani Naguib
Nice
appbucket.net
APPBUCKET.NET $9.99 A YEAR!!! ALL PAIDS APPS. Over 1300 Paid Apps.
Paul
Dope. DX
D
Pretty home page but home page font too small even with my 20/15 vision. Uninstalled. EVO
AJ
Really nice UI; very fluid. However, FC on restart every time. Moto Droid 2.2
angie
This app is exactly what i was looking for! Works flawlessly on lg ally.
Andy
This is a really nice RSS reader, but it works best if you use it to read a few sites rather than using it as a Google Reader replacement.
Flyin18T
Wow. Refreshing to see such a high quality app. Well done.
Josh
Very nice reader, but until their widget supports multiple feeds in the same widget I'll stick with FeedR
motleycrewl
Needs some kind of starring or read it later support.
Bandi
Not all rss feeds are fetched!! Prefetching and notifications would be nice. N1
Skyler
Loved it until it started FC on me EVERY time I tried to access from the widget. Fix for 5 stars. Evo 4G
Nathan
Occasional force close during startup. Evo 2.2
Antonio
Slower and less visually appealing since last update. And that splash screen has got to go.
Randy
A lot of force closes - HTC Evo 4G, 2.2.
Anonymous
Faster. Yes, in scrolling. But, not in the update/refresh department! Drags system to grinding halt. Galaxy S europe.
Jonathan
wtf...20 feed limit! You have to be kidding!
Colin
Beautiful. My only complaint is all the pictures from the news feed that show up in your gallery.
Dana
Probably too image heavy for people looking for purely news feeds but I use it primarily for my fashion blog feeds and love it.
adam
Great news reader, lots of force closes though
Wendell
Cool looking. Doesnt update in sync with web pages.
Alex
A first class app. Android needs more of this quality
Andre
got alot better. occasionally FCs
Sammy
Great!!!
fukid
simple, nice ui, fast, even better on pad then phone
Aaron
The new 1.5 update looks amazing and adds a widget. But the update also breaks search functionality. Results never show up with searches for sources.
AdamZ
Love it...
Mike Stabile
Occasional FC but otherwise an excellent program.
Fail Commando
Needs to be optimised for speed, otherwise very nice to use. Galaxy S I 9000
Brian
Cool UI, but only supports 20 Feeds which I wish was mentioned in the description. Little buggy loading thumbnails. NEEDS unlimited feeds.
Thomas
Nice UI but extremely buggy and a few FCs in the 5 minutes I used it. Sometimes it wouldn't even show the story because it messed up the formatting.
Khoi
Please add the option for the single feed widgets to be scrollable w/ LauncherPro!... Or at least arrow buttons to load the next 3.
Jon
Like the look but it seems to disable the on-screen keyboard making commenting on posts impossible.
Hani Naguib
Feeds have not been updating for days. Useless.
dan
This app is about as close to perfect as you can get.
Eddie
This app beats the hell outa newsroom and it's cheaper too!
cornario
Laggy when updating feeds, FC sometimes. SSGS
Tony
Looks great. Too many force closes and slowdowns to be useful. Samsung Vibrant.
moo
Love it, works great on the evo
Java

Neil
Great improvements!
Arthur
Please update like you did with the apple version for the ipad
Popple3
Awesome interface, but Google Reader integration is very disappointing
Harold
Searching for new feeds is a pain. Not returning results. And not updating properly. Contacted developer a week ago still no reply/fix. Disappointed
Carlucho
Best all around non-google app on my phone. GREAT!!!
Pat
They keep making it better all the time. It's not too far off the quality of the ipod touch version now. Droid Incredible
Johan Netzler
Good. Need to enable the feature to rename feeds names.
Ayman
I love the layout. Its very intuitive. I recommend this over newsroom. For the price, this can't be beat!
Andrew
Where the hell is the widget?
Jason Matthew P
Continues to open even after quiting in the background, love the app though.
Nigel
Would be great if articles were removed after reading. But every time I come back to app they are still there. No way to tell what I have read.
Jonathan
Latest update moved this from a great to must have app! Droid X
Jacob
Getting better and better with each new release!! N1 2.2.1 stock
Ian
Needs better ways to mark articles as read. Where did mark all read go?
Nino
All the cache images shows in the gallery, why?
Harold
Searching for new feeds is a pain. Not returning results. And not updating properly. Evo 2.2
Aaron
Pretty great news reader. Love the way it looks. Got it on sale for $0.99. The new update fixes a ton of problems and adds a widget :) thank you Pulse
Khoi
Please add widget options! Would be perfect to choose just single rss feed widgets that are scrollable w/ LauncherPro
Bobby
It's just ok. The presentation is cool but it doesn't perform well. The service uses way too much memory.
miguelrodas
Good concept, poor execution. Why can't it be like the iPhone version? News don't update properly.
Martin
Good aggregator but finding new sources is hard to do not as nice as the featured ones, certain sources also won't add or load and very slow at times
Michael
Seems like its working fine now, i think it might be my phone though since ive recently been getting a bunch of FCs on other apps.
wayne
a widget would be nice
maduranga
*Sync with Google reader is not right. * No"mark all read"option *doesn't remove read items.
Andrew B.
Rule number 1 of icon creation is don't make the icon text. What's the point if it has the name right under it anyway?
DreamcastDC
Very sluggish on my Samsung Vibrant Galaxy S Phone, doesn't run as smooth as the iPhone version.
Mr. Thomas
Love this app my favorite app hands down! @fatboifunny
Michael
It looks really cool but im getting alot of FCs when reading feeds, adding feeds, everything except the home screen. 2.2 on motodroid
Nickname unavailable
5 Stars on my iPad. Slow, clunky and hangs up a lot on my Galaxy S.
Donald
I have an ipad with pulse installed, when I found out pulse was on the android it was a no brainer to purchase this app. Great app
Arkymedes
Should increase number of stories per feed, have the option to display older first and remove stories from feed when they are read.
Rick
Latest update removed auto-update on launch, replaces with auto-update in background which quickly drains the battery.
Rob
Same problem as other review(s): not all feeds will load. Kinda frustrating, but it looks nice otherwise. Droid X
Randy
I use the app all the time! Easily imported my google reader feeds and the ui is very slick and intuative
Aaron
It has got a lot better in last update. Would recommend assuming it will still get better. Interface is great and makes reading longer articles easy.
Michael
Increase feed limit.
Austin
Fantastic concept. Best so far. Will get 1 more star for an outstanding widget. N1-2.2.
Jorge
A little buggy. Too many updates.
wayne
This app is great, I use it everyday. Moto Droid 2:2
James
Works great! Favorite way to get news
Khoi
Please add widget options! Would be perfect to choose just single rss feed widgets that are scrollable
Mike
Pics don't always load and it's a bit slow at times. Still best rss on market. Consistent updates are A++
Nigel
Ability to mark items read not there?
toska
Love it, looks great and getting better all the time. Well worth it!
Raul
the updates keep making it smoother and faster! Best rss reader! Suggestions: widget, save articles for later reading.
Tuck
It's beautiful and a joy when it works. Experienced a strange freezing bug with a particular feed but the dev team is responsive and very helpful.
Anonymous
Beautiful apparently... absolutely love it!!!... now only if an update with come... were you can have the RSS post read back to you...
stephen
Ace app news from any source you choose works flawlessly x10 on poxy 1.6.
Zack
Works perfectly
lcd.cow
Did not work at all. Added a number of new streams, removed some of the defaults, did nothing. Stuck with default streams even through many refreshes.
Jasper
Great, but not for devices with a screen size like my HTC Desire.
Austin
Fantastic concept. Best so far. Will get 1 more star for full gReader support/more feeds and 1 more star for an outstanding widget. N1-2.2.
Lord
Better ui.then 5star
Joshua
Cool idea, but painfully slow and glitchy. Pulse should be free until they get it faster and bug-free. Half my feeds don't show up, and Pulse crashes.
Aaron
Pretty great news reader. Love the way it looks. Kinda want a widget. Got it on sale for $0.99
Bunster
Nice app
stephen
Ace app news from any source you choose works flawlessly x10 on poxy 1.6
Jason Matthew P
This is a great app, like the iPad app, this one is a winner.
Dustin
Pretty sweet app, having some of the same issues. Overall, great app. Few tweaks, could be awesome. Captivate
Emmanuel
Works great on my DINC on wifi. Lets see this baby in action on 3G!
Quinn Damerell
Very nice app and idea, but majorly needs speed improvements. Menus and all actions are really slow.
Leicafanboy
Would be a 5 star if it had option for background updates, can handle more than only 20 feeds, and more native UI (like long press for options).
Arkymedes
Should increase number of stories per feed, have the option to display older first and remove stories when they are read.
Scott
Had to edit my comment. Worked great for days and now it Force Closes almost everytime. (Wow, perfect reader, I love it! Evo 2.2)
Cruz
Would be great if it would update when you hit refresh
Ausanai
Very slow on a Samsung Galaxy S.

New update seem to fix some of the bug. Very buggy compared to the iPhone version, some feed don't load correctly, its just a blank feed.

Can't share on facebook, but love it

Lovin it. Best news reader I have ever used. Only complaint is that I wish we could expand on the 20 source cap
Brandon
I couldn't get a feed to come in. Emailed pulse. Less than 12 hours later there was a fix for it! Albert, you rock! My favorite ap now.

Seems each day my rating of this app goes up a star. Great job guys!
Owen
Like it. Seriously needs a couple of widgets
Patrick
It looks cool, but provides very little in regards to functionality. Add full Google Reader sync and I'll give it another shot. Until then, refund.
greatbearfreak
Beautiful UI, functionality improves with every update. Will be brilliant with sync with Google reader
Zack
Works perfectly, but the cached images show up/clutter my picture gallery.

Great app! Will give it 5 stars once it's updated with a widget, even if it only displays what the app does on a full empty screen, please dev!

Raul
My new favorite RSS reader! Looks amazing! Now with apps to SD on 2.2! (However still uses alot of memory on phone ...hopefully just a temporary bug)
adamcoles
New update seems less buggy and installs to sd card, cache is smaller but still seems to be in main memory. Add one star for good developer response.
Brenton
Good for mainstream feeds, but doesn't show pics for Reddit feeds or accept feed sources.
Neil
I love it when developers listen. Thanks for SD install and cache improvements!
Jonathan
Perfect if they can make it a widget. HTC desire
