Google has just announced an “incremental” update to Ice Cream Sandwich that will now serve as the base version of the OS. From this point forward, manufacturers looking to update their handsets to ICS will be doing so with Android 4.0.3. According to the Android Developers blog, 4.0.3 will be rolling out to production phones and tablets “in the weeks ahead.” While this is a good sign that manufacturers are just about ready to start rolling out updates, not all developers are ready for the jump. While I don’t actually subscribe to their service or use their app, I could have sworn some of the “new additions” were already there in the last version. Hmmm.. Well, whether it was just your typical bug-fixes or new features, Netflix did in fact update their app today, listing notable changes as Android 3.x support and support for CM7. Amidst the big Internet joke that has been Netflix over the last few days, competitor Hulu has added a bunch of smartphones and tablets to the list of Android devices that will work with its streaming video app. If you’re a Netflix customer considering jumping ship, you might not be alone. Back in May Netflix, finally launched its long-waited Android app, initially only for a few devices. That list grew over time and eventually supported a large number of phones. The .apk was quickly discovered, however, and owners of devices, both phone and tablet, who hadn't received official support yet could install the app just fine. That's no longer necessary (and it's about time), at least for most phones, as Netflix has updated the app to support all devices running 2.2 (Froyo) and 2.3 (Gingerbread). Tablet owners still looking for official support will have to wait a bit longer, but this is great for everyone with a smaller device. Previously, handset support was very limited, and unless you installed a modified .apk, you were not able to run it on unsupported devices due to hardware DRM limitations. Good news for all you Android lovers yearning for a little more Netflix in your life — that is, if you are still a subscriber after the ridiculous price hike. Starting today, every Android phone running version 2.2 Froyo or 2.3 Gingerbread supports the Netflix mobile app. And since both versions of the operating system combined cover over 80% of Android users, chances are you’ll be able to get streaming right away. I am not sure why but is stopped working after the last update. Before is was working fine....now it won't get past the red Netflix load screen....no matter how good my wifi is. Other streaming apps work fine. Just Netflix has gone bust. Please make a better update. I love Netflix but am not happy with the issues I am getting on my tablet.

I have a razor maxx and this app does not always want to connect to my network. When working is wonderful but have to try over and over and over to get it to connect. Please fixtures the connectivity problem. It's not a problem with the internet I can pull 20 megs continuously on my browser. Help help help!

Touch is unresponsive. You have to press the screen a few times to register what you want to do. The list view buttons are small and pressing on them takes a few try. Most of the time I have to turn it off and on to get it to scroll. I love the look and layout but I stopped using this app cuz I just get frustrated using it. Please fix I miss Netflix on the go.

I want to be able to browse and add titles to playlists. Not much to ask? Technically though the app is fine. Videos stream perfectly over WiFi and a reliable HSPDA network. Not a huge library however there is certainly an emphasis on quality over quantity which can only be a good thing.

The interface lags quite a bit, especially on startup. The buffer times also take longer than they should, and in lower bandwidth it won't even connect. There are also times where the app freezes and loops a second or two of sound with a still picture, requiring a hard reboot of the mobile phone to fix. Patching these issues would be much appreciated.

There's a sound lag when listening thru a blue tooth, tried several but the sound comes about 2 seconds behind. I don't like seeing all movies like old Japanese, English dubbed movies. But I do love the app, that's just an issue.

Passes the to time perfectly! Finally able to catch up on the movies I wanted to see, but never found the time. Works beautifully on wifi! It gets 5 stars when the 3g and 4g get fixed. A little laggy on 4g and very laggy on 3g. Love the pause and save features :)

However, the app opens and movies will play but the screen doesn't load right and it keeps telling me there was a problem loading the title. Is anyone Dr having this problem? Thinking of exchanging it for a new BC I saw someone else use Netflix and the page loaded the way its supposed to buy mine don't load the same way. The Netflix service is great, as always. The issue is that this app is very slow, and kind of a pain to use. It's annoying to have to constantly scroll through huge lists. It's especially annoying to have to do so when the app is choppy and lagging. Streaming works perfectly. It's the interface that needs work.

WorkED great until about 3 weeks ago 'ish on Asus eee pad transformer prime with ice cream sandwich,(wifi N full signal always). While watching most every show, will stop playback and give this error message, "sorry we could not reach the netflix service.please try again later.if the problem persists please visit the netflix website (1010)." You hit OK and it returns you to main screen where you can play the episode again and have to quickly skip a minute or two ahead which will then playback fine the rest of the episode sometimes, sometimes it happens again a few minutes later. Its like skipping past a scratch on a DVD. Biggest offenders...Cleveland show,family guy,bobs burgers,american dad,etc...No issues with playback on family ties,the office,etc...(i know, interesting viewing habits haha.) Anyways, NO issues ever on xbox360,wii,computer (laptop or tower), samsung galaxy tab 10.1,two samsung galaxy s phones,two samsung 55" tv's,samsung bluray player,or two roku2 players,(i think thats everything!). Playback is always fine on these devices on all shows all on the same home network, just my transformer prime experiences this....????????

I have sporadic problems where the video will freeze, even through the audio keeps playing. I have to force kill the app and restart to get it back (it does restart at the point where the problem occurred, which is nice). The only other gripe I have is that it doesn't support maintaining the DVD queue. I had to download a 3rd party app to maintain my Netflix queue...how weird is that? Come on, Netflix, adding that feature is a *trivial* level of effort; I'll give 5 stars for just that.

Its alright BUT the interface needs to be a lot smoother. I'm on an android tablet and its really pathetic how laggy the interface is on netflix. And some of the shows when you click it is unresponsive. Come on now get it together with this app. Make it like the Apple app which is much smoother than this android app crap.

The tablet version of the menu is too slow, almost to the point of being unusable. When trying to scroll through a list of episodes in a TV show, for example, it's almost impossible to scroll at all. Video quality is great, it glitches occasionally but never permanently. Enjoyable viewing experience.

Man, when I first loaded this onto my phone I couldn't have been happier. Since the latest update it has developed a glitch that makes me want to cancel my subscription. The video automatically shuts off with 2:30 left to go. On movies, not a big deal but for TV it cuts off the ending every time. And it doesn't pick back up where it left off it acts like its over so I have to search for where I was and then it'll shut off every 10 seconds after passing the 2:30 mark. I even tried reinstalling.

When I used to have ver 1.2.2 this app worked flawless. Now that its updated the audio is always ahead of the video. I've added a star to review cuz I can deal with the audio being off. It's only about 3 seconds off, so viewing experience is watchable. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update.

This app was absolutely fantastic untill I updated it. The new update cause the picture to pixilate and invert colors about 70% of the time. I have to exit and restart many times to get it to play all the way through anything. Love the app, just wish I hadn't done the update. HELP NETFLIX! Definitely worth getting though.

My gripes: The main screen is FRUSTRATINGLY SLOW SCROLLING even on Samsing Galaxy Tab and HTC tab. The Browse and Search buttons are so freakin small hard to touch on them. Maybe make the cover arts smaller and put search/browse under menu button. Basic UI design. The player is perfect, I assume it's made by some other developers. heh ;-)

Remember to setup your que online...not via this app. ONE THING I WOULD LOVE NETFLIX TO CHANGE ABOUT THE TABLET VERSION: Please make the Instant Que a separate tab with pages. Do not load it all at once on the main screen. It slows pretty much every tablet to a stall.

Netflix was working great and smooth until 2 or 3 updates ago. Now audio goes smooth but a lot of frames are skiped and some get froze for a second or two. please fix. I would also love to see an option to change subtitle font sizes and colours, since subtitles fonts are too small and look even worst when I hook it to my 50 inch TV.

Zte warp on wifi. It was a bit choppy and grainy at first but after a few minutes it got better. I am on boost network and this is my first android... only had it a couple of days and i didn't know what i was missing!! Totally awesome!

It works quite nicely for all my movie watching needs, but it is frustratingly sluggish in menus. Scrolling, clicking buttons, and even typing are slower than any app I've found. Having the fastest tablet on the market seems to be hurting me more than helping when it comes to this app.

All those issues folks talked about.. no sync with audio very jerky video... TRUE. Netflix can never seem to get their act together. The first version was FINE... but they had to go and mess with it till it stopped being useful. Get a Kindle-Fire, Amazon Prime Videos are $80 a year, and it works. I've used this app for quite a while on a rooted cdma hero, an EVO 4G and a Toshiba thrive with no issues. The UI isn't perfect, but come on people, what is. They are developing for how many platforms simultaneously? I'll deal with any minor UI or minor sync issues, since I get some degree of stutter on a blu-ray player and the occasional audio sync issue on a ps3. The android app is no worse.

Did y'all do a new update in the past couple of days? Four days ago I was using the app just fine. The only problem I had was that the audio and video were out of sync a little. Now all I can do is log on and pick a movie. When I hit the play button it goes black screen on me and I wind up back at the menu for my phone. After this happens I can't even go back through on the app. I have to uninstall the app and reinstall the app. Even after doing that it does the same thing all over again. Please fix this.

I have used the Netflix app since it was first available and generally like it very much. Except for: The 'resume' feature is flaky for episodic shows. It may work or it may take you back to the previous episode. If you skip an episode any further resume will take you to the skipped one, not wherever you left off. Some videos may have serious audio sync problems(several seconds). There is no way to flag these shows for quality assessment. Once in a while it will freeze, and lock up the phone,completely.

THE ONLY way I can get it to work is to just shut down my tablet and restart it THEN it will work......... For a little while this needs to be fixed asap.... It is almost unusable errrrrrrrrrr >:(

I have various devices that I stream Netflix through (Wii, Blu Ray Player, iPad) and all seem to buffer up the video before starting so that you have a good picture from the start. However, this version for Android does not seem to do that. When the video launches, it starts immediately and there is about 5 to 10 seconds of the video that comes out extremely pixelated and then everything smooths out and runs fine. Maybe its the device or the memory available, but I would be willing to wait a moment for a little buffering up just to have a good clean start to whatever I'm about to watch.

HTC Aria user here. Nothing streams smoothly in this app even when I try to let videos buffer. Each update I hope for better (or decent) performance, but am continually disappointed. Nothing wrong with my WiFi connection. CrunchyRoll and YouTube apps work better than this, so I know the problem isn't my phone.

From what I've seen it's all low quality when I wish I could have the option to watch in full HD.. especially with unlimited internet on Wi-Fi and the best screen quality ever on a phone.. what's the point of that if you can only view SD on Netflix?

Plays video much better than the hulu plus app except for the occasional videos acting like someone just pressed pause. To continue you just press play again. Does not happen too often though. But the UI needs better hardware optimization, especially for tablets. Swiping back and forth should be much smoother than this. Hulu app has got you beat in that option. My kids love this application. They can watch their TV programs whenever, wherever. The TV programs are great. Can watch every season in order or whatever show u missed. Although the movies are real old you can't really complain with the price. The application seems to stream real well on the epic 4g.

It works well, It loads pretty quick, but the scrolling is so choppy! The UI is not polished all that well and it's not as smooth as it should be... I don't understand what got better after the latest update to be honest... Also, I have a 720p resolution screen and most phones coming out do as well.... Netflix should work on delivering better streaming quality.... This is what Netflix does, it plays video content, and if the video doesn't look all that good then it fails at what should be a prioritized feature!

Looking forward to this. Unfortunately heavy buffering and audio issues. Should check with the folks who make an adk for this back in July for help. 3/28/12 Newest version still having audio sync issues. Please check your codecs. 4/11/12 - Need to update app size info. According to the Overview pane this is a 7.3 MB app. Just downloaded new version, and it shows as a 24.5 MB app. Also same issue as before - Audio out of sync with video. :(

Recently upgraded to 4g phone: Droid 4. Picture quality much improved over 3g but i'm noticing that the audio and video are slightly out of synch when sending to tv with hdmi output. Hoped most recent update would help. Still seems out of synch. Thanks for great app, but do hope this will improve on a future update.

I downloaded this app since I pay every month for service but to my disappointment it does not work properly. One minute it's playing the movie and the next is has stopped. Very disappointed because I get netflix on my ipod.

I love netflix, but streaming is difficult if the ui runs at 1 fps. that's no exaggeration either. Streaming is okay, but has a tendency to drop in framerate after about five to ten minutes.

There is no reason that I should not be able to manage my queue with an app from Netflix. You cannot use the app unless your membership includes streaming movies. You are not even allowed to access the app without a full membership. It is ridiculous that I should have to download another company's app in order to simply manage my Netflix queue.

One of the things I love about certain other video apps is that you can drag side to side to skip a few seconds ahead or back. also up and down to adjust brightness and volume. PLEASE add these features! Also, crashes randomly with an infinite stuttering loop.

After the 4/10/12 update the screen resize issue and responsiveness issues have been resolved. 1 star removed for lack of compelling programs. The better ones tend to be missing seasons and a lot of the movies are from the 2/$1 section of the video rental store. Otherwise, the stream is always excellent and the app issues appear to be resolved, at least until the next update...lol

If you enjoy watching movies, NetFlix is the way to go no matter the selection ( over 5000 movies ...really? You can't pick one?) That said, this app works perfect on my Revolution. If your 4G or wifi is strong, and you don't have a crappy phone, vids stream smooth. Even if you don't, it's not as bad as boredom.

No video on LG Optimus V with CM7.1. Eventually video appears, but it's very laggy. I don't understand why release after release has to be broken on my phone. 1.6.0 no better - Why has this been broken since 1.2.2? Obviously the hardware can handle the video. App shouldn't want Phone ID, either. Blocked with third-party tool. Too sluggish on TouchPad with CM9 - caches far too many thumbnails.

Good app, but its missing a few items. No landscape support when hooked up to a TV for one. Also when used with an mhl cable the output resolution doesn't appear to be anything higher than 360p. An option to turn off the display while using mhl output would be great too.

RAZR Max allows to view titles but the app restarts every time I try to watch a video tried this on three different RAZR Maxx devices. Interestingly enough its pre loaded with an older version that absolutely has to be updated in order to use. Same problem every time on the latest update as of April 10 2012

Netflix is great for a laptop or general computer but with this app all I could get was my favorite episode of buffers for over an hour and the episode is only twenty four minutes long. Love being able to play moves on phone or through phone to TV. Would be better if I could watch a movie on a plane by byffering it beforehand, but alas, this is not available yet. Update..since installing Netflix on my Gnex, I've noticed that some movies in my Q disappear from the Q on my BluRay Netflix streamer. They remain as added when viewed with the Gnex and computer. Since most flix are viewed via the BluRay, this is a problem. Just a coincidence or is anyone else having this issue?

This app does one thing only (stream video), but does it well. You can't access your account settings, the app has no settings menu of its own, no trailers, lousy search. I ended up signing up for Netflix because Google won't let you rent movies on a rooted phone. 3 stars because Netflix is awesome, 5 for a full featured app.

Great service and pleased to find an Android app, but a major flaw lies in the inability to download episodes or films for offline viewing. With mobile data speeds pretty poor in the main, and operator prices for data sky high, this app is not going to get used. Netflix, take a leaf out of Spotify's book and enable offline files!

Obviously if you are a Netflix user you ought to get this. The same functions on your computer and TV. Now on your phone or tablet. Although the audio is not 100% matching with the visual, but it's not way off. You hardly notice unless you look close at a person speaking. Good app from a great service, if you're using a cheap phone don't expect the app to perform magic and put out good quality.

A few seasons of some really good series and some decent and pretty good movies. Wide variety of content but not fully satisfied about it. It gets stuck many times after watching a chapter or a movie, besides that its fine on my TF101. I hook it up through HDMI to my led tv and works pretty well but subtitles displays only on the tablet. Im not sure whether its a configuration issue I haven't set up or its just my tablet but it ok though. For ten bucks a month it cool.

Working at a dealership as a finance manager, often parents bring their little ones into my office. To make sure my clients and I could conduct business in an orderly fashion, I resort to my Droid RazorMax and turn Neflix on for their kids. Oh what a blessing it is. Works great on my RazorMax, picture is HD quality, sound is crisp and it loads quick. I have not had any crashes, auto restarts, problems with picture (4G might be the reason) or any issues that might cause me to give any negative feed back.

After playing an episode or movie, the app needs to be reopened/reloaded or it takes about 4-5mins for the next episode to load. The tabs on the top fail to respond after playing and have to be reloaded. Fix these and I'll give 5stars. Besides that, works great. LG Optimus V :)

Absolutely amazing picture on my Galaxy S II. Clear crisp videos like I was watching it on my HDTV at home. I wound up uprating to the 5GB data plan on my phone so that there would be little to no buffering time and it sure did make a difference. I would recommend this to any mommies and daddies on the go. Whenever I am out and my children start to get antsy I pull out the Netflix on the phone and it keeps them still. I would say it is a lifesaver at times. Lol

Promises much but fails in many ways. 1 App crashes frequently during playback. Often less than an hour into a show. 2 Limited selection of material. Titles appear under multiple sections to give an artificial sense of breadth to the collection. 3 Sluggish and unresponsive app. Especially at startup. 4 Inability to delete viewing history, meaning you get an ever growing list of stuff at the top of the app under 'currently watching'. Even after watching stuff to the end it still shows up under this list. 5 Can't output to a TV in full screen via HDMI; works fine with the built in archos movie app, so it's a fault of the Netflix app. Device used archos 80 g9 tablet.

This app is pretty good. If it is slow or laggy on ur phone, ur phone probably sucks. I have not had a problem with the steaming unless my reception on my phone was bad. And it is true that if ur battery drains fast while on this app then once again ur phone sucks, don't blame the app because u rushed on getting a new phone instead of waiting on reviews of it or doing better research. Although I like this app there is always something you can improve on like ur queue with pic and name.

All-in-all, good. NEED MORE SITCOMS!!! Use it all the time. More buffering takes forever & not so clear pic now. Forced closed had to delete & install 3times last month. I would like to use this app like the web site. Also having some sort of layout (like the web site) to check boxes next to the taste preference that you DO NOT WANT to be part of your taste preference. I don't like shows or movies that i have to read instead of watch. Which seem to find way onto the suggestion given to me.

Stopped working on my phone after last update and Netflix support gave a boiler plate response about my phone needing some hardware to be installed by my service provider. Works great on my Nook Tablet running CM7 though.

I've used Netflix for years. Streaming to both TV at home and tablet started off great, but the selection of movies keeps getting worse, not better. I've been patient and put up with it at first, but increasingly I'll look for something, *anything* worthwhile to watch, and just give up. I'm considering canceling streaming, 'cause the selection is cr@p. The android app is fine...just not many reasons to use it anymore.

Downloaded this app and signed up for an account, then tried to load get it to load on my Toshiba Tablet with no avail. Loads just fine on my laptop from the Netflix website. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!! Would like to know how fix the problem.

Why be negative. Netflix, you gave me an app to stream on my phone and access to movies and tv outside of my house! if my connection slows because I move around am I to blame you or the fact that my 3g/4g turned down to 1g? I believe the selection lacks for streaming since first dibs are for the actual dvd customers, and thats why the 4 star, but really the phone app is simple to get around and serves its purpose.

any idea how bad their streaming service is. Audio/video sync is out on Android app and on PC. Tested over 3 different data connections (fiber, cable, cell) with same results. Don't waste your money on their streaming. DVD service is good.

It auto rotates when auto rotate is turned off when playing video... Not to portrait, but, it shouldnt flip between landscape rotations when the system option is off. I have a good reason to need to play video when the phone is upside down. Otherwise great. sGS2, g.bread

Netflix is sooo good I'd pay extra to open up more devices to stream since my teenagers hog all devices allowed to tap into streaming via lap top...xbox & smartphone.

I've been a Netflix subscriber for years and have always loved the service. This app is generally excellent, but has one flaw: inexplicably, it keeps button lights on while playing video. This is hugely distracting in a darkened room. If Netflix fixed this issue, I'd five-star this app with zero hesitation.

Works extremely well on nexus s 4g on gingerbread and ice cream sandwich. No video/audio sync issues so far. Quality is good. No buffering issues, even on 4g. The UI could has some usability issues but nothing serious or annoying so far. All in all, great app and worth the subscription.

My Samsung Galaxy S2 installed it fine and videos load but that's where the goodness ends. Movies only play the audio on my S2. The interface is awful. Damned DRM keeps me from installing it on the one thing I'd like to install it on: the Lenovo A1. Can't even fall back to using the browser because it relies on Silverlight. Ugh.

This app has a long way to go. There are virtually no settings or options or ability to refine or filter searches and browsing. The browsing layout is poor at best. I really hope netflix is working on a better version.

2/12/12 Update. My Spectrum has done a second software update. I uninstalled and re-installed Netflix update and am now able to play programs. Hope this helps. This app worked flawlessly on my Fascinate. Able to perform all functions on my new Spectrum...except for watching anything. I uninstalled updates and updated phone software and still nothing. So 5 stars for app on Fascinate, 1 star on Spectrum. Please fix this!!!!

The app shows a movie info without selecting the movie. As you are browsing it shows the movie where your finger stops e even though you McCarty not have actually selected that movie.

Movie catalogue is poor with not many modern flicks available, however It's brilliant for TV series though, well worth the £6 per month. Love film has more choice but until they produce a dedicated android app, Netflix gets my vote.

Netflix worked perfectly on my Verizon Xperia... Until I installed the update. Now the video does not sync with the audio, also the picture quality is awful due to buffering issues. Please resume prior platform or we will have to uninstall. Truly unviewable this way.

I've used Netflix for a couple of weeks now and I've been mighty impressed. I didn't expect it to be as good quality as it is, although I do only have a Nexus S so not the biggest of screens. I've only used it over 3G and I'm yet to see it buffer once yet. Content choice could be better, but there's still lots there to watch.

Love it! I've been using this app for months & have not had a single issue. A lot of the issues people say they are having with the app sound like device issues &/or network capabilities. All smart phone users should clear their history, cache & cookies regularly. Free up device memory to allow the device processor to run properly. Streaming with 3G means you will spend more time buffering than watching. Use wifi or 4G for best results. Apps only work as well as the device & network you use will allow.

Obviously if you are a Netflix user you ought to get this. The same functions on your computer and TV. Now on your phone or tablet. Although the audio is not 100% matching with the visual, but it's not way off. You hardly notice unless you look close at a person speaking. Good app from a great service.

But barely. Videos open and play without issue, but the user interface moves far too slowly. I'm using an ASUS Transformer Prime, so scrolling through selections should be very smooth. From one programmer to several others, please fix this issue. Make your software with regards to the hardware it's running on. Five stars after that.

3/3/2012 netflix still has a video lag issue on my samsung repp phone. but it is getting better, now video is only about 2 seconds behind the audio !! i think its really cool that i can watch netflix on my phone using both 3g and wifi, both work the same and have the same great picture clarity !! i most recently also purchased a nook tablet and use the netflix app on that and it works perfect !! crystal clear picture quality and the audio and video match up perfect !! great job netflix !! im sure the phone app problems will get worked out in future updates !!

I think people are excited just because Netflix has gone mobile, but there needs to be UI improvements, mainly dealing with the ability to navigate and make things more touch screen friendly. Gripes aside, the app works well, and I have little to no problem streaming anything on here. I would advise those using their phones frequently for this to add what you want to see to your instant queue ahead of time to make it easier for you.

Ok. So I've contacted google, verizon and netflix. Wonderful how NO ONE claims ownership of this app. Google points the finger at netflix, netflix at verizon and verizon at google. 2 reviewers got it wrong. at least 2. First, a person actually put down a negative about how fast it drains the battery. I'd have to attribute that to the hadware manufacturer. Second, someone said it doesn't work on the Asus Transformer. They are wrong. It works just fine on mine. Now for the real deal: Fast forward is really needed. Clicking on a point further down the progress bar of the movie is not an acceptable method of FF. There needs to be a way to see a description of each episode of a tv series. Its on the console and pc versions. Overall though, i have to say i was stoked to see netflix offering the ability to stream movies to the pc, even more so when i got that abiity on my tv via my ps3. To have it on my phone and tablet now is amazing. All this without having to pay a bunch of additional fees. I think we've all gotten a bit too spoiled these days.

I love this app! This app along with my phone allows me to watch tv anywhere I want. There is very little lag and on a 3g connection it works amazingly well with good quality. Let it be known that it isn't exactly HD but it is high enough to make you happy.

Everything worked great in the 1.5.0 version on my HTC Jetstream, then after upgrading to 1.5.1 it completely went south... I have no sound at all (when I try to increase volume it constantly becomes muted, even trying to play music in media player) and after I tried to reboot my tablet, it completely crashed my entire system, requiring a hard reset! I have tested many times now and can reproduce the above every time after installing 1.5.1, this is unacceptable and needs to be addressed ASAP!

The picture quality is fantastic and you will see they added new special effects to the old series making it better than ever! Glad this finally works (legitimately) in Canada now. Love that it supports multiple language streams and subtitles. Page loads are a bit slow, but I think that's on the server side. I'd love the option to force low-bandwidth while I'm on 3G, but that's a feature request more than a negative. Great work getting this to work on Android! Samsung Vibrant (i9000)

Screen orientation fix cannot be underestimated. My charge port is on the bottom of my device so I couldn't place it in a stand, charge the device, and watch Netflix. Now I can and I really appreciate this.

This app needs a serious fix. While it works, the menu keys on the keyboard stay lit and never go away. This is a serious problem for anyone trying to watch Netflix in the dark. It's just simply too bright on that one corner. The only solution to this problem is to root your phone, which is unacceptable. 3 stars until this is fixed.

This app doesn't work for this phone. After the Netflix intro, the screen turns bright white. This app is great if you are lost in the dark. I was wondering if the developers only tested this app on the phone or device they use. Seems to me a lot of LG product is incompatible with this app. Please spend some time resolving this issue because I don't need another flashlight.

This app needs a serious fix. While it works, the menu keys on the keyboard stay lit and never go away. This is a serious problem for anyone trying to watch Netflix in the dark. It's just simply too bright on that one corner. The only solution to this problem is to root your phone, which is unacceptable. 3 stars until this is fixed.

Finally works with my crappy phone I downloaded it last week when I first heard it was available for my Optimus S. All I could get was a white screen, so I removed it. The other day, Gingerbread 2.3 was pushed to my phone. I decided to try Netflix again, and voila it works! Well, sort of. I can get to my queue and start to play a movie, but it usually stops in the middle and locks up. That's probably attributable more to my crappy phone than the app itself. I can't wait to get rid of this phone!

Great interface to movie choices, but 4 problems: (1) needs an exit (stays memory resident unless use task killer); 2) watch disc usage (was 80meg, after reinstall it's at 20 meg); 3) after 5 - 10 mins, it starts re-buffering every 30 secs (on 3G phone); and 4) video sometimes falls behind audio. Getting rid of constant re-buffering may be a lot to ask.... note the YouTube app does it well. (I'm on android 2.2.2, on Samsung Replenish. at 3G)

Update fixed problem on Evo 4G With the new update it is working great again. Still needs ability to manage your disk queue. Can't be hard to do, NetQ does a great job and it will also stream!

HEY NETFLIX, UPDATE YOUR APP DESCRIPTION! The HTC EVO on 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) works with Netflix as of the HTC 6.24 firmware update (June 20, 2011), but you need to update your app descriptions so people can download it. I have the original App installed on my EVO (since 2.2) and it works fine but when I open the app it keeps prompting me to update and then giving me an error "The requested item cannot be found."

Love the app, but one major issue I love being able to control my instant queue on the go. I absolutely love the fact that I can watch movies on my phone. I am having an issue with my Bluetooth headsets and this app. I have a headset for phone calls and a headset for media audio. I set them as such in the options so that one does not confuse with the other. When my media headset is set to media audio only, the Netflix app kills the connection to that headset. When I set it to be both phone and media it works fine. Will email developer.
