Great news for you football lovers out there, as EA Mobile has lowered the price of Madden NFL 12 to 99 cents to celebrate America’s biggest game. Android users will be able to get their hands on this game at a $4 discount compared to the normal price, so if you’re a fan of Madden, it may be in your best interest to snatch up the game before the sale ends. Speaking from experience, most of EA’s Android games don’t compare to the iOS versions. Madden on Android isn’t awful but it still has many flaws that are hard to ignore. read thru many reviews, really surprised at the equal amount of negative and positive comments. seems that people are comparing to an xbox or ps3 experience... downloaded and really enjoyed the experience of madden football on an android phone. of course, not the same, but enjoyable ... 5 bucks for an android app is expensive, but is much less than the cost of the xbox counterpart. worth the investment for entertainment...

Since EA stopped developing Madden for the PC, I've been denied access to the newer versions of the game. However, this version runs well on my tablet and for $5, it's in range of the console versions. No, it's not entirely there, but it's 1/10th the price and it's much more than 1/10th right. Surprisingly good adaption for mobile, EA. Keep it up.

Ok I guess EA did the fix as of 10/24/11 I reinstated the game and boom it worked. I won't have auto update on as they screw up again force close.

Owned this on my iphone, thought I'd give it a try on my Inspire. Running is nearly impossible, virtual joystick is useless. Many times, players just spin when you try to move them. Why does a 5 yard gain, show up as a 3 yard loss? Or a 15 yard completion ends up as a 6 yard gain? Sometimes scrolling through plays actually selects a play. No sound either. This app has a sprint button, but the console version doesn't? That makes no sense at all since you have less control on the mobile version.

Running plays never work, sometimes the other team hands off and their runner just stands there, run at an angle after a pass and the other team almost never tackles you, impossible to run back a kickoff more than 20 yards, etc. etc. etc.

All you need to do is tighten up the virtual joystick controls and this would be almost a perfect game. For some reason, my virtual joystick gets stuck sometimes. Only other issue is sometimes the game feels like its running at 10 FPS on my Galaxy Tab 10.1. First time I have been somewhat happy with an EA game. Up to this point, I didn't think you guys would make it in the mobile space. *Raises glass in the air* Here's to EA for making a decent game!

After following the advice of another reviewer I tried using blocking hotroutes to get running plays to work. To my surprise they actually did. It seems to me that the linemen have no default blocking assignments on running plays, they just stand there. But when you manually assign them to block a defender they usually run out and drive the defender back. This seems like a huge oversight and pretty much breaks the game unless you are willing to manually assign blockers every time you run the ball.FIX ASAP!

As a huge Madden fan, this was disappointing. Graphics and gameplay on my Sensation are average, but the non-existent running game is CRAZY. You know there is an issue with the AI when even every running play by the computer results in negative yards. Hopefully they come out with an update for this major issue shortly, otherwise the game won't be playable. Also, I haven't had an issue with the passing game with having to multi-tap. This is the only thing saving the game for me.

The thumbstick doesn't always reset to the middle position between plays, so if you're blitzing as a defender and a teammate intercepts, you run backwards. Running is useless (teams averaged about (negative) 25 yards/game against me all season), and the character models aren't really shaped like their hitboxes (a defender can dive for you and hit you when it looks like he missed). Also, anyone who gets tackled while carrying the ball staggers backward about 10 feet in slow motion.

Game runs great and controls are pretty good. Just played the first game of my season and I can't wait to start the second. If your considering that you are playing this game on YOUR PHONE it's an easy 5 star. And $7, to me, is nothing to pay for a good game (considering just a few years ago I was paying verizon $8 - $10 to play horrible games on my Moto Razr).

Everyone complaining about the running game should try modifying their hot routes--take a goal line run play and set a hot route to have all the offensive linemen fire down field, and you'll be getting 10-15 yards every run . . . Fun game, considering it's running on a fun. Happy with my purchase, great little time killer.

I have a Droid Bionic and its not com[atible with it. I PAID for it when I had a Droid 1 and now that i upgraded my phone I cant play it anymore. I have e-mailed EA a few times and still nothing. I hope they make it compatible soon. Dont forget I PAID FOR IT AND I CA PLAY IT. is that fair???

it seems like the quarterbacks enjoy just falling over when a defender gets near them. and receivers miss easy catches (which is realistic but it's over the top in the game) and they quarterback doesn't throw when you tap a receiver on occasion. runs well, no lag. can't wait for an update

I'm a HUGE Madden fan. I play Madden 11 on my iPod touch. Madden 12 for Android needs some work. First, you need a 1GHz phone or higher, otherwise game will seem like it is in slow mo. Then EA needs to improve game play. Two major issues, all Running plays result in negative yards. Second is passing plays require tapping on the receiver box multiple times before the QB throws. At least MOST passes are completed, since you basically have no RB ability within the game. Looking forward to seeing some updates!

Partly great, needs some work I've had the game a couple of weeks now. The graphics are very good, the game itself decent. But it is impossible for either team to run the ball, which makes the game rather frustrating and dumb. I keep trying to force it to see if there are better ways to run the ball, but no matter what I'm averaging about -2.5/ypc, and giving up about the same on defense. Players shouldn't go down simply because they are near a defender, and you can't maneuver between or around blocks.
