By | 11 days ago I was recently in a bookstore and came across a couple books I was excited to check out right away. However, I didn’t grab them and run to the register as I would have a couple years ago…instead I pulled out my evernote app on my iPhone jotted down the title and author. Then as I walked out, I pulled up Amazon and purchased them with 1-click for my Kindle app. Within approximately 90 seconds I had the books in my hand, and for cheaper than the bookstore price. Mobile apps…are my best friend for a person who’s on the go constantly and wants everything easily accessible from a simple and easy to use device. I love taking photos wherever I go and have a particular fondness for street art, architecture, and things out of the ordinary. Until this month, ESPN’s presence on the Android platform has been limited to a few knock-off applications that have not filled the void the lack of ESPN has left for us sports lovers. Love the program, but don't like that it starts a push task that runs all the time, even when not using the program. It would be great if you could add an option to disable this "feature." System memory is scarce, and I'd rather not have to uninstall to get that memory back. Without that, this app would be five stars, for sure. Also, it would be nice to be able to "hide" favorite teams that out of season without having to delete them. I'd rather use my display area for teams that are playing now.

I use to enjoy this app a lot and then I had to stop using it because it broke. My login would switch over to some random person's. The wrong team's score would update. Many FORCE CLOSE instances. Now I was trying to give it another shot after uninstalling during the NFL season and since I'm running on ICS now. The same issues I had last time haven't been addressed still it seems. This is not a good app. I can get overall sport's category scores easily so it's not a completely broken app. It's ONLY good for getting scores.

While I'm using the app to check scores and the runs happen it keeps force closing on me. I'm getting sick and tired of this and I keep submitting the reports. Most of the time the force closing is while I am using wifi to connect.

From the time I installed, this app keeps messing up my teams list... Both on widget and in app I see scores under my teams for random teams. I checked my settings and it shows the right teams, however the my teams page is going bonkers! I'm willing to give this app a lil bit time to see if it improves.. Love being able to get my scores relatively easily. The alerts for MyTeams are very hit or miss, meaning they're not reliable that I will get the alerts that I signed up for. The scrolling ticker at the bottom is very dim and needs a way to scroll through. Needs a refresh button for the scores...

I put this on my phone to keep track of NCAA Baseball. Which it does, but it never keeps track if your favorite teams. It will if you like basketball or football but nothing else. Hey ESPN there are other freaking sports.

It has a terrible time updating live scores and stats. Also... it now has an advertising page for Watch ESPN, which only works for about 20% of users. Also, when you select the recap, it doesn't work worth a crap. Of course, since it's editor's choice, ratings mean nothing now, so no consequences.

Great app, however the scoreboard widget is too big... it should be a 1hx4w instead of 2hx4w... it leaves too much blank space on the screen. I would also like to see an option to close alerts individually instead of having to 'bulk clear' all of my notifications, as sometimes there are notifications I may not want to delete along with all of the ESPN alerts.

The Lead which houses the videos does not appear on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I sent a message to the website and they were not able to fix the problem. They said The Lead is not available outside the U.S. I told them I am in California. They still could not fix the issue.

Eveything works great for this app...... Except I can't get scores for my Red Sox games! I get the notifications I want for every other sports except the Red Sox. I have tried syncing and resetting and even uninstalling at one point but the MLB does not work. It lets me know the game start half the time and I never get the scores. I love ESPN, and the app is a great idea but is poorly done. First off it is slow, its always reloading and loading. Second why does it not have the ability to alert you for scores of your favorite teams and games? Third why does it always want to show you old games scores. Keep it current, when I load the nfl scores page I want to see this week, not 2 weeks ago. Really disappointing app.

Before the last update broke the amount of space the widget took up, any upcoming sporting events would list the date of the event. Now, it just says the time, so it acts like every game is happening that day, even though some games don't occur for a day or two. Please fix so the widget lists the actual date of the next, upcoming game.

It is a pretty good app but has a few things that prevent me from giving it 5 stars... I love that they added the alerts like they did with iOS. One thing i recommend is letting users pick how they want to be notified... even though i like the alerts, i had to turn them off because the sound is really loud and it would go off in the middle of the night (whenever the game ended) and wake me up. Adding an alert schedule, volume control, or even a setting for no audio alerts would make this app even better.

Love the program, but don't like that it starts a push task that runs all the time, even when not using the program. It would be great if you could add an option to disable this "feature." System memory is scarce, and I'd rather not have to uninstall to get that memory back. Without that, this app would be five stars, for sure.

I get my alerts from somewhere else. I have enjoyed real time monitoring of college basketball games as it comes in handy when watching the game on TV is not possible. Four stars mostly because nobody is ever perfect. :)
What is going on with this app?? I downloaded it last night for my HTC Flyer running honeycomb and it had me logged into some random person's account! I promptly logged out and personalized my teams and sports. Then I closed the app -- but when I came back later, it had me logged in as some OTHER random person. So I logged out AGAIN and personalized the app to my preferences AGAIN. But now everytime I open the app, random teams and sports show up that I didn't select! Please fix, I'm uninstalling for now...

Absolutely love the app, but have a few suggestions... 1. I would like to remove the alert from my notification bar instead of having to click on EACH notification which brings me to the app. I just like reading the headline. 2. Notifications are too loud. Maybe volume setting? 3. I would like an option to turn off alerts at night without having to manually do it each night. With the loudness of the notifications, it's very intrusive late night and early morning. These are minor issues, but the app would be 6-stars if the above are possible!

ScoreCenter is by far the best ap of its type. However there are still a lot if annoying bugs. It needs to link better to team and player info. Also the widget is full of annoying flaws like old scores and it doesn't show the date of the next game or what network to watch it on.

There are things about some of the other sports score apps that I like better, but the most important thing, scores for my teams are not one of them. None I tried allows you to pick an NCAAWB team as a "My Team" like ESPN does. One or maybe two do give scores for all WB but you can't pick just your team. The Yahoo one worked only when it wanted to, continuous bug with football.I also like the easy way to go from favorite teams, to all games in the sport by just swiping. It takes a little longer to load each time (I don't use the widgets) but not too bad. And I wish it could be put on the SD card. Overall, and after using two other highly rated apps I definitely like this better. Five stars if it could be put on the SD card.

I think this might be a good score app for android cell, if we disregard the unstoppable background work... But this app is still not optimized for 10" android tablet. The app is only for vertical view. The bottons option on th screen is just too small for tablet. The most unacceptable issue to me is the video quality if just way too bad. ESPN should work on itz tablet version. I believe they can do so because they had made a great one for ipad, they should be able to create a more tablet-friendly application for android system.

Really nice app, aggregates all team results I care about in one place, only one minor bug I see, for football fixtures (UK soccer) the "next match" info has TeamA@TeamB when in fact it is the other way around, guess as a US app it is confused by the convention of naming home team first in soccer fixtures where for MLB, NFL etc. home team is second

This app would be fine if it didn't always default to last week's scores. For example, one of my teams is playing right now. When I open the app, I would expect that score to appear at the top of the list. Instead, I get the same team's score from LAST WEEK!! I have to scroll down quite a bit to reach today's scores (most important scores for most sports fans). What is up with that? I don't remember it doing this a few versions back. If developer fixes that junk logic, I might even give it 5 stars.

This app would be fine if it didn't always default to last week's scores. For example, one of my teams is playing right now. When I open the app, I would expect that score to appear at the top of the list. Instead, I get the same team's score from LAST WEEK!! I have to scroll down quite a bit to reach today's scores (most important scores for most sports fans). What is up with that? I don't remember it doing this a few versions back. If developer fixes that junk logic, I might even give it 5 stars.

slowed down my phone as soon as I installed it. Notice my data logger has this app as the #2 data hog. No way to change the frequency it updates when not in use. Or this is a hug hog just from using it twice a day. No other news app I have does this.

Defective battery vampire app Verified with system panel monitor this app once opened continues to leach data and resources even if you leave it (no I dont use the widget either). After opening this app once my batter was at less than 50% within one hour and my monitor shows this app using resources, I had to explicitly kill it with an app killer to stop the leaching. Plus compared to the IOS or Windows 7 version of the app the android version sucks big time. Devs until you fix it I am uninstalling, if we exit app it should stop!!!!!!

Fixed prob w/EVO. Remove app. Turn off phone then on again. Reinstall and it worked. Good luck!
