Only one This is the first I've used, and have stayed since. Has all my podcast shows lined up for me the day of release and its software is easy to use.
good app with some shortcomings Pretty good app, makes listening to podcasts on my phone much easier. However it has some annoying bugs, e.g. it fails to delete the media file after listening to it if there no more to listen to. And after new files get downloaded, app starts to play that again. Also, when (rarely) download fails for some file, figuring out how to redownload that is undescribable.

I just want to add to the heap of praise for this app. I went from using an iPod classic and was concerned about how I would retrieve and play my podcasts on my new Android device. I tried some of the free apps and they did not cut it. Doggcatcher is worth every penny. Knowing how good it works now, I would probably pay twice as much for it!

Generally works well. The user interface is a little confusing but OK once you get used to it.

Shockingly bad Where to start? The settings make no sense, hit menu -> Preferences -> Feed updates and look at that. You can set the feed update time to any time of day. But wait then you have to set the interval??? If I have a time set then the interval is 24 hours how can I have both a daily time and an interval? Running out of room here but the real kicker is it looks like Windows XP. Too bad market only lets you return after 15 minutes. I would have bought beyondpod, which is also junk but maybe more tolerable.

Not perfect, but very good I tried several (at least 10) pod catchers, and was frustrated with each. Even google listen, which was reliable, but under featured. This one runs the best, and is easiest to use, and is feature rich. But it is also a major battery hog. If I am not careful, it will absolutely drain my battery. Does not always follow the download rules... ie it is set to only download when plugged in, but at times, it decides to download when not plugged in. But aside from that, a great app.

Bad on Motorolla Atrix What a turd, the free version worked good, this version doesn't like my Atrix, looks up consistantly when linked to a car's audio system via bluetooth. Cannot play through headset jack, just makes my atrix reboot itself. Last try I couldn't even shut down the phone, had to pull the battery to get phone back up. Wont be reinstalling again, I gave it several tries... Bleah

Great podcast manager I was very reluctant to buy this without being able to try it because even most desktop podcast managers suck. But this one was a pleasant surprise. It's very mature, the UI is good and everything just works. I love that it remembers where you left off and even shows it visually. Also supports Bluetooth (including media controls). This app makes listening to podcasts a true joy.

Perfect for media broadcast management Only one drawback as I can see - my feeds are in Google Reader and I read them on my 'droid and also in a browser. Unread marks don't sync as far as I can see..... So I'm working around this using the Google Reader and Doggcatcher for my TWiT and Diggnation stuff - which is absolutely fine :-)

Too expensive. Unreliable on my Droid X I don't know how this app is getting 5 stars. The app randomly pauses at times while I'm listening to podcasts. You can set it to show a certain number of items per podcast, but there is no option to load past ones like in Google Listen or other podcast managers. The tool to find podcasts is awful as well. The Add Feed and Preview Feed links are just that...links. It'd be better if they were actual buttons because it is easy to mis-press. Other complaints but there's a character limit here.

I like it! At first I found the user interface on this program difficult to follow, but mmost of that is likely attributable to my being new to podcasts, feed, and android. After playing with it a bbit it works really well and it's easy tto find what I want. Minor suggestion is that the text for some of the links is small, making it hard to isolate the tap with the fingertip. Works well on my xoom.

Doesn't do playlists The app says it does playlists, but more accurately it does feedlists. I listen to a couple of podcast feeds that do daily podcasts, and I want to create a playlist that mixes up the podcasts, you can't do that. You have to listen to all of one feed and then the next, you can't mix them up. The playlist feature isn't normal, not like traditional playlist. The interface is very good, but I want a traditional playlist order, select a individual podcast and put it in any order you want.

Great app and excellent customer service I've been happily using DoggCatcher since September 2010. I had tried several podcast apps to find a perfect match for me and DoggCatcher was the one. I am also impressed at the level of their customer service. Today I couldn't receive the latest update of Doggcatcher because of a mix up in my Android Market account. After a couple of emails, they immediately issued a refund so I could make a new purchase to fix my Android market problem, which had nothing to do with them.

Well worth the money I have this on my Galaxy S. No longer do I have to manually download podcasts to my computer and sync them to my MP3 player. It all happens while I sleep. And since the podcasts are on the 'Droid now I can play them via Bluetooth - no dangling wires in the car any more. I did have to reboot the phone a couple of times to get everything to work right, but the 'Droid's a computer - not a toaster. In the savings in time out of my day alone it's well worth the money paid.

Allow locking individual podcasts from accidental deletion (podcasts one like to keep for viewing again and again). Pl. include features like keep podcast with media and without media. 2. Runs well on Sprint HTC Hero running 2.1 I put up with Google Listen for too long. This is worth the cost. One podcast I love has an issue with its hosting site that seems to always kill my downloads via Listen. Doggcatcher actually has a feature to retry the download when it fails. I have found no issues with this and my Sprint HTC Hero.

Great app, but the "queuing" function is unusable as you have no control over whats queued or the play order. Would be a 5 otherwise.

B. Some podcasts force the software to only keep one copy. You have to select an option for that podcast to ignore that request. Don't 1 star.

The app deletes podcast when it updates. Its annoying as hell and there is no good reason for it.

It has worked great but now it will not load a lot of the podcast. It gives a ? and says the download failed. It was loading all of these fine.

I just downgraded my rating because because it constantly deletes items sometimes hours after download. Unacceptable. For 7 bucks just get Beyondpod
