I’m sure some of you, as I was, are confused about what exactly Adobe Air is and what it does. I installed it and then it wasn’t in my launcher… so initially I was a bit confused. I have to admit I haven’t kept up on flash development and the announcement from Adobe that they were going to stop developing Flash for Android took me by surprise. But now that I’ve done some digging I think this is going to be a positive and not a negative. For one we will be able to have apps that are cross-platform and have the same interface (or at least very similar) from one device to another. For instance Conqu. Adobe AIR for Android (v2.72.7.0.1948 if you want to get technical) is now starting to roll out and looks to correct some issues over previous versions. As noted in the Android Market change log: For end users, much of the same with the exception of the SD card install option but for developers -- this new update fixes and addresses some of their concerns for when they go to develop Adobe AIR apps for Android. Adobe has just released an update for its Adobe AIR runtime for Android bringing it to version 2.6. The update adds support for Android 3.0 Gingerbread, meaning AIR on tablets like the Motorola Xoom is a go, plus a series of performance improvements. Highlights include up to 20% faster scrolling, H.264 video decoding at 30FPS, and GPU-accelerated animation or gaming at up to 50FPS. Greater gesture support has also been rolled in, plus Bitmap Capture for StageWebView for tighter HTML and Flash visual integration, and Asynchronous Bitmap Decoding, for improved image transitions. The AIR 2.6 SDK is also on target for a H2 2011 release, but apps developed with the 2.5 SDK will of course run fine with the AIR 2.6 runtime. Upon downloading adobe air I finally understand what we, women, do to men on a regular basis. No longer will I argue a point that I not only don't care about, but probably don't remember. After a hard day at the gym with my friend, we were exiting to his car when he started to clutch his chest. His gym bag dropped to the ground and he soon followed after. This is a very intuitive app. I love it! My wife and I use it everyday, and w/ our children. We plan to raise our children to use Adobe AIR, and our children's children, and so on for generations to come! I have an Adobe AIR logo tattooed on my Brazilian waxed tait that I did myself and it looks fantastic! - every morning I get to see it in the mirror while shaving my balls before heading off to work. After installation, the phone shut off, and turned on, and it said that the phone was undergoing an upgrade. I dont get why people are posting stupid comments about this app. Once you figure out how to get it open (using the widget), the setup process clearly states that its the same technology used for astronauts to allow them to survive off Earth. Just plug your breathing apparatus into the micro usb plug and you can leave Earth. Simple stuff guys.

Got a2sd+ so don't care about memory, but can't find one single air app/game thats even slightly ok. Adobe air is LAME!
